This cable modem/router works well and definitely upgraded a previous model.

I have already returned this item. I could not install it with the app. I then had the cable company send out a service person to install it. I managed to get two laptops and one roku tv to connect but no other devices could connect. Tech assistance from Arris could not provide a solution and disturbingly their terminology did not match that of the products published or on line information.

Purchased the G34 to replace an older Arris SBG10 router/wifi device (SBG10). The install and connection to Xfinity was very easy but spent 6+ hours trying to debug why some of my devices could not connect. Free support on ARRIS site is limited to a community support forum, so good luck getting an answer in a timely manner. It appears that the G34 router is limited to less than 32 devices. I had 35+ devices in my smart home and the router failed to connect to more than 31 devices. The maximum # of devices supported should be documented by router/wifi manufacturers. I think it is interesting that the G34 supported less than the SBG10 which is half the price. Returned to using my SBG10 until a suitable replacement can be identified.
