Had to replace this same router/wifi with in a few years of use. Was. Surprised to see this product still on the shelf, not a new version.

Overall, highly satisfied. The setup was a little tricky, but I figured it out. The router itself runs everything in our 2400 square ft home easily. We have multiple phones, tv’s, gaming, and laptops running at once.would definitely recommend this product.

The Arris SURFboard Wi-Fi Cable Modem AX3000 is excellent. The setup is very simple and quick. We've had much better connection and service since purchasing it. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about purchasing a home Modem.

G36 has a lot of features in a DOCSIS 3.1 modem if you can get it working properly to obtain a reliable connection and experience the listed features.
" DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MODEM IF YOU NEED 5 ETHERNET PORTS and PLAN ON USING THE 2.5G PORT".
The problem with this modem is the 2.5G ethernet port which is unstable, will not recognize devices, will not stay connected with anything connected to the 2.5G port. The entire modem and connectivity via ethernet and WiFi goes haywire when anything is connected to the 2.5G port, causes instability, loses connection 7-8 times daily with anything connected to the 2.5G port.
Surfboard App seriously glitchy and I cannot get it to work on my iPhone for setup. Have to connect to surfboard through ethernet on my laptop. Never liked the surfboard app, it is unstable
Numerous factory resets, 2-3 times daily reboots, daily unplugging the modem from power source to get connectivity back.
Anything connected to the 2.5G port makes the entire modem/router go haywire and loses proper connectivity and function.
As soon as I unplugged the ethernet cable from the 2.5G port and stopped using the 2.5G port completely, the modem and the entire gateway started working just fine. Now I can only use the 4 x 1G ethernet ports out of the 5 available ports which I paid for as a feature in this modem.
I have dealt with unstable Internet connection in my home for 3 months trying of figure out this headache.
Waiting on a response from Arris on what they are going to do.
You might want to do a little research before deciding on this modem. I've had good Arris modems in the past without issues and why I chose the G36 but, the G36 has some serious glitches and not worth purchasing.
Never in my life have I had this many issues with a new modem/router combo and spent this much time trying to figure it out. Not purchasing another Arris.

We are still using this, because we traded old equipment in. One of our lap top computers had to be hard wired because it would not accept the Surfboard. It also does not have the range I expected. Infinity recommended it but overall I was disappointed.

This product is advertised as working with Xfinity, for me it did not work at all. I also had a tech from Xfinity come out to make sure that I did set it up correctly. Unfortunately that was not the case. Would not recommend with Xfinity. Ended up purchasing the Arris stand alone cable modem and paired it with Eero 6+ wi-fi router. Works great!

The intial setup for this router has to be by far the worst setup I have ever encountered with tech. The app is terrible. That being said it has been running okay since.

Drops internet connection every 2-3 days and needs a power cycle to reconnect (like 50% of all reviewers). Not the wi-fi, the actual internet connection. The computer connected by Ethernet drops as well.
Arris blames Comcast, Comcast blames Arris.
Buy something else.

It's garbage, I see why the Netgear is so much more expensive. The web GUI is god awful slow. I opened a ticket with Arris and they blamed my ISP for the slow GUI. Don't waste your time buying this product.
