I was told by my ISP I needed to upgrade my modem, and since I use a mesh wifi system, and I don't need telephony, all I needed was a reliable modem, and this was the best deal I could find.

Very easy setup and I love the small size! It tucks away and does clutter up your space. Our internet is so much faster now! I would highly recommend this modem!

Simple installation, very fast throughput speeds on 600mbps Xfinity service. Auto-switching 3.0 and 3.1 depending on equipment attached and speeds available. Very happy with purchase. The only issue encountered during installation was not related to this modem. The previous owners did not cancel their internet service, so Xfinity had to cancel, adding a day for forced cancellation to upload. Once my internet service was available at the house, install was very quick and easy. Highly recommended.

For YEARS I have purchased my own modem to use for internet since leasing a modem from your internet provider never ends but if you buy the modem yourself you save A LOT of money in the long run. This thing pays for itself and the fact that this model supports 10+GBPS internet means that it will be useful for YEARS to come! Setup was really easy with Xfinity (surprisingly) and I have been enjoying it since.
Definitely recommend this modem for anyone signing up with Xfinity regardless of if you are getting a Gigabit plan or NOT because it will work with every plan up to 10+ GBPS.

Recently switched a mesh system so needed a modem without an integrated wifi router. This modem was super easy to set up and works perfectly with our new TP Link mesh system.

I bought this as my internet connection isn't as fast as it used to. I have Spectrum provider and I'm not getting what I paid for. So, I decided to buy top of the line name brand (Arris) modem. Installation is tricky and I have to call customer service from Arris to guide me. Now my internet is fast and this modem is compatible with any provider. Its compact in size and portable. It's a little pricey compared with other brand that might give the same speed. Durability I'm not sure yet how long will this last. There you have it, back to internet surfing speed.

Purchased this to replace an older Arris that began to have issues so felt it was time to upgrade. Setup with the xfinity app was very easy. This modem can use the Arris app to see what devices on on your network but not necessary if can login to your router. Very nice upgrade and is faster than the older device and can get full speed what is paid for.

Excellent cable modem. Easy to set-up, but you MAY have to call your ISP to add this to your account before you can surf the web. We have Spectrum and they require you to call them to activate the modem. Still, a hassle-free set-up!

I have had the Surfboard SB8200 for only one week and it is working great with download speed matching my xfinity plan and smooth communication with my Netgear router. One week is too soon to judge its quality in the long haul. But I am pleased with its continuous connectivity, unlike the Netgear router it replaced.

We actually bought this after being recommended by a Suddenlink/optimum tech. This modem is so much faster than the ones Suddenlink uses for customers..After activating this one we haven’t had the lag In internet that we did using Suddenlink provided equipment. I would recommend this to anyone..especially Suddenlink users!!

This is a great modem, it was easy to setup (once Comcast let me know what they needed). It's been the fastest speeds I've ever had in a home and we live in a rural area.

This item was purchased because I wanted to upgrade my internet from 200mb to 300mb and was told my old modem wasn't going to handle it so I bought this to be ready when I do speed it up, set it up was fast and painless on my current 200mb plan I was getting 240mb all day long so figured I was ready. So I called them up they bumped me to 300 & speed dropped to 120mb avg they tried everything sent a guy out that to be honest was a moron and spent 4hrs @ my house blaming my surge protectors and an angle I had on a line then tells me my modem isn't compatible so he stuck one of their docsis 3.0 modems in and guess what still can't over 110mbs and he gives up says give it a few days so I hesitantly returned the surfboard 3.1 and a few days later I call and get a guy that says her just had to reset the data on my acct from brighthouse so spectrum could sync up and bam now getting over 440mbs so there was nothing wrong with modern now to go buy another one
