    Very good display, but has trash speakers

    The monitor is very good once you get it setup. The on screen menu can be hard to navigate but is OK once you get used to it. The big problem I have with this monitor is that the built in speakers are atrocious. I also have an older ASUS MX series 1080P monitor and the speakers on it are great. The speakers on this monitor have a tinny sound and need volume to be constantly cranked up to close to 100%. Sounds like an old 1970's era transistor radio. All treble and no bass. I'm hoping it is a defect but so far find myself not using the monitor with my desktop because of the awful sound. With my Macbook Air I can use it's speakers instead of the monitors, but it is really unusable on my desktop over HDMI because of the sound issue.

      1. Please check the computer sound card driver is properly installed and activated.

      2. Move any mobile device away because signals may interfere with the speakers.

      3. 3.5mm earphone jack (black color) at ASUS LCD monitors support TRS connector/ cable. We recommend you use 3.5mm TRS earphone cable.

      If you connect TRRS earphone cable to ASUS LCD monitor 3.5mm earphone jack, you may hear some electronic white noise in the background via TRRS cable’s microphone input.

    Color is always off (MAC)

    I have had this monitor for 2 years now. Everytime i connect it to an apple device, the color is wrong. I am a designer by trade, and i have a ProArt laptop that looks beautiful with it. But do not use this with a macbook pro or other apple product. The colors are always off and cannot be fixed. They also randomly change so they have to be adjusted every time you turn it in. Never buying an Asus monitor again.

    I'm very disappointed with this monitor. Several weeks after my purchase (and past the returnable period to Best Buy), the monitor started making clicking noises when the computer comes out of sleep mode - not every time but intermittently. The clicking goes away eventually on its own - and clears immediately if I turn the monitor off and on. ASUS technical support is nearly impossible to contact but I will keep trying. Otherwise, It's a beautiful monitor with great flexibility for positioning the screen. And, the image is sharp.

    Started noticing dead pixels 20 days after the purchase. Best buy would accept return/exchange. Bad experience

      We're sorry to hear that you received your unit with dead pixels. ASUS conforms to the acceptance spot level which lies between 3 to 5 bright/dark pixel defects. In order to deliver ultimate vision experience to you, panels that contain less than or equal to the above number of spots, then it is considered an acceptable LCD monitor.     Solid Color for the Price Point

    Color is great for editing photos. Be aware that you cannot daisy-chain these monitors if you are using a computer with usb-c which is an almost unbelievable oversight.
