||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great laptop overall! The only downside is the storage 512GB of SSD isn’t quite enough if you’re planning to game, especially with something like Call of Duty. I ended up upgrading the storage myself, which solved the issue. Also, the charger does get pretty hot during use while gaming, so that’s something to keep in mind. Other than that, I’m really happy with the purchase!

Powerhouse gaming laptop that hits almost every ✔️
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is a powerhouse in the gaming laptop arena, offering a robust combination of cutting-edge technology and sleek design. Featuring a 16" FHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, this machine ensures buttery-smooth visuals that make gaming and multimedia experiences incredibly immersive. The screen's color accuracy and brightness are exceptional, making it ideal not only for gaming but also for content creation and media consumption.Under the hood, the laptop is equipped with the 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, which provides outstanding performance for multitasking and demanding applications. Paired with 16GB of RAM, the system handles multiple applications and large files with ease, ensuring that performance remains snappy and responsive even under heavy loads. This setup is particularly beneficial for gamers who stream or use resource-intensive applications simultaneously. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU is a standout feature, delivering top-tier graphics performance. Games run smoothly at high settings, and the laptop handles ray tracing and DLSS without breaking a sweat. This GPU is also beneficial for creative professionals who require substantial graphical power for tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and other GPU-accelerated applications.Storage is managed by a 512GB SSD, which offers fast load times and quick data access. While this is sufficient for many users, gamers with extensive libraries or professionals handling large files might find the storage capacity a bit limiting. An upgrade or external storage solution might be necessary to accommodate larger collections of games or multimedia files. The design of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is both sleek and functional. The Eclipse Gray finish gives it a sophisticated look, while the laptop remains relatively lightweight and portable for a gaming device. The build quality is excellent, with a robust chassis that feels durable and premium. One notable shortcoming of the laptop is its battery life. High-performance components like the Intel i7 and RTX 4070 are power-hungry, which can drain the battery quickly during intensive use. Users may find themselves tethered to a power outlet during long gaming sessions or demanding tasks. Additionally, the cooling system, while effective at maintaining performance, can become quite noisy under load, which might be distracting in quieter environments.Overall, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is an impressive gaming laptop that excels in performance, design, and display quality. Its high refresh rate screen, powerful internals, and excellent build make it a strong contender in the gaming laptop market. However, its limited storage and battery life could be potential drawbacks for some users. Taking everything into account, I would rate this product at 4.5 stars out of 5. It offers superb value and performance, with only minor areas for improvement.

Cool Design, Excellent Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small note: The display resolution is actually 1920 x 1200 instead of 1920 x 1080 listed on the website [PROS] Great Benchmarks: Performance was great across the board in all titles. For example, I achieved 103 frames per second (fps) with Forza Horizon 5 at the "Extreme Preset" without ray tracing and upscaling/DLSS (Turbo Fan Mode). When I switched my fan to Silent Mode, I achieved 79 fps at the same preset with DLSS which is still pretty good for gaming quietly. Red Dead Redemption 2 also returned metrics with 60 fps in this same mode with the highest preset. I tested several other games with DLSS and Frame Generation which all provided great visuals and stellar FPS results. Thin, Lightweight, and Sleek Design: ASUS hit the bullseye in making the device look cool. I owned three prior gaming laptops, but this style has been my favorite. The chassis is solid and the keyboard design is minimalistic without compromising functionality. Also, the ports are placed very much within reach for my comfort level. The cherry on top is the various colors that reflect back on the laptop lid. Excellent Thermals: In demanding titles, my laptop stayed cool under pressure (metaphorically speaking). The laptop did get warm, but never hot to the touch as I've dealt with some others in the paste. While idle, temperature hovered around 37 degrees Celsius. When I gamed, it didn't exceed 54 degrees Celsius. [CONS] Flawed Airflow: While gaming, I noticed that the front vents near the monitor generated a lot of heat. This is not an uncommon thing to occur. However, the screen sits lower so this heat is constantly hitting the bottom of the display. Because of this, I do have a slight concern about long term damage being caused to the display. Loud: Achieving FPS greater than 100 comes at a cost. At the price of great thermals and performance, the ROG Zephyrus G16 can be quite noisy. This wouldn't bother most, but the sound can be quite distracting sitting next to someone watching television which how I mainly play. Small Storage: I understand that the 512GB of storage is pretty standard when it comes to gaming laptops, however, I would've expected 1TB for a device containing a 4070. I'm gamer who likes to jump around to different titles based on my mood or time limitations. It's such an inconvenience installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling titles as if it were a Series S. Given my habits, I immediately purchased an SSD to add to the device. [CONCLUSION] The G16 checks off many of the boxes in what I would desire from a gaming laptop. Aside from my airflow concern, I do the find the ROG Zephyrus pretty impressive. Without upscaling, I'm able to obtain over 60 fps in many titles. However, DLSS and Frame Generation where available elevates the G16 to be an awesome device to where I'm well over 100 fps in a great amount of games.

I have had it for about 2 months now and so far I haven’t had any issues. I have been able to run marvel rivals and fortnite on thus computer with great performance. On medium/low settings i have been getting between 130-180 fps on both of the games. On the downside, the storage could me better. I ended uo adding an additional 16 GB of RAM and I also added a 2 TB SSD. The installation was very easy and simple. Overall this computer has been great with performace and battery life and if you catch this on a sale, its a great deal.

Great performance, but fan can get loud.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace a desktop that was showing its age. This thing performs really well, but my only complaint is the fan can get ridiculously loud under a demanding load. I know there are ways to change the fan profile to quiet it down a bit, but I don't want to run it to run too hot. I guess I have just been used to desktops since that has been all I've known. Also, my other complaint was the limited storage. The first thing I did was purchase another M2 drive to throw in there since 512GB isn't nearly enough.

Best low budget laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for almost 3 months now and it works amazingly. The only problem I had was the amount of ram and storage space, but both are upgradable so nothing to really worry about. It's also refreshing to play games at a higher frame rate and graphical quality than a console. 10/10

Great laptop for sale price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale for $1200 and only had it for a few weeks but has been great. The size and portability l, coupled with a 4070 is why we bought this and it hasn’t disappointed. I’m not a huge gamer but do like to play them when I travel and it has run destiny 2, helldivers 2, and the first descendant without issue. I did purchase a 1TB SSD to increase the storage which was my only complaint. Would have paid $50 more to start with a 1TB SSD

Tried 3 of them
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really tried to give this laptop a chance. Tried 3 different ones!!. 1. First one I tried was an open box one. It was working fine, but when I tried to register it for the warranty, I wasn't able to because the person who returned it had registered. I tried talking with ASUS to provide a receipt and at least get a partial warranty, but no luck. 2. I bought a new one then. I was very happy with it since it has an open slot for RAM and Storage expansion, so I went ahead and did that. I had no issues with the RAM, but I had issues with the additional storage not always appearing after turning the computer on. Or sometimes disappearing after. I was able to figure out that the drive was only disappearing whenever the laptop was plugged in to the charger. I tried a different NVME drive to make sure that it wasn't defective, but had the same issues. I checked the BIOS to make sure the drive was being recognized (it was) and I initialized the drive manually as well. 3. I returned that one and got a another one (New). This time, I'm still having the same results with the Nvme drive, and on this one, the dedicated graphics card is not recognized. I checked the BIOS and could see that it recognized the hardware, but was the OS loaded, nothing. Couldn't even open nvidia's control panel because it did not recognize that the hardware was installed.

Worthy Purchase!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starting from the unboxing I was impressed lol. I know this has nothing to do with the actual Laptop performance but wanted to share how the packing was. When you open the box and raise the lid, the box is designed to raise the laptop up for easy lifting. Thought that was pretty cool. Design: The laptop has all ports on the sides with none on the rear including the power. I always prefer the power port to be in the back to keep wires more out of the way (I generally always leave laptop plugged into power) but it's not a real issue though, just a preference I have. It only has 512GB of storage so that may be where you may wat to add to it. Overall picture when gaming is very nice. I did run some benchmarks and will also include the results with attached pictures. The fans kick in pretty much right away when gaming but the noise is not too load. I've had some in the past where it sounded like a freight train. Not here though. I would recommend, as I always do, to use a cooling stand for any gaming laptop just to add to the cooling. Running games on max settings were not an issue so far (Elden Ring, Red Dead R2 and ANNO 1800 were a couple so far that ran great) I'm sure there are more taxing games out there but for what I play, it's been very smooth. Overall, I am very happy and will continue to put the game through the paces. Some testing results: 1080p Medium: FPS: Min: 96.04, Average: 154.29, Max 225.11 GPU Temp: C Min 39, Max 72 1080p Extreme: FPS: Min: 29.39, Average: 52.98. Max: 66.15 GPU Temp: C Min 41 , Max 74
