I added this hardwired to my fios router to a basement dead spot and the results are great. New coverage area fills the basement and speeds are consistent in the whole area I use it. The software setup took a few goes to get locked in correctly, but its been a champ since then.

It’s working good and faster… I have another one before, it’s running slow…
I bought the new one and it is running good and faster… Wi-Fi connecting with second floor and around the house very quickly…but you have to set it up directly to your carrier network such as: T-mobile, At&T, Xfinity….

About the extender: the overall setup is very easy, build quality is excellent and the best thing is it works very well with my WiFi 7 router that isn’t even asus.
Pros: you can download the app and set it up via app, if you have the asus router you can set it up way easier with that, speeds are excellent, range is even better, and I just love how easy it is to troubleshoot and update the extender
Cons: only cons I can think of is the app at the time of this review is a little buggy, but overall operable.

I've got a decent-sized house (about 2,000 sq ft) with thick walls and a spotty Wi-Fi signal in the back rooms from my old ASUS router. Heard about Wi-Fi 7 being the future, so I grabbed this RP-BE58 extender to boost coverage without replacing everything. It's white, plugs right into the wall like a nightlight, and doesn't look too out of place.
Overall, if you're extending an existing ASUS setup or just need reliable range without bells and whistles, this is a winner. Took me a weekend to get perfect, but now it's rock-solid. Would buy again, but maybe wait for a sale if AiMesh is your main goal

Very good! Took me a while to set it up, only because I misread the instructions. After I did it CORRECTLY, it set up in a flash! Works like a charm, especially for streaming.

As adding some Govee smart lights and wanted to insure they always had a great connection. The area outside was just in the cusp of the 2 other mesh nodes and thus allowed an easy fix for a great price compared to another mesh router. Easy to setup and now takes load off the other nodes that would normally be spotty especially outdoor cameras.

I have never come across an easier setup for an extender than with the Asus RP-BE58. I plugged the device into an outlet close to my Asus router and waited for its light to turn blue. This took little time. Next, I opened my Asus router through a web interface. My router found the extender within seconds and automatically configured everything. I did not have to intervene. Finally, I moved my extender to a different spot, and the connection was restored within seconds. I have not used the extender for very long, but this device appears to be all the high ratings that I have read from others. Based on my experience, you cannot go wrong with purchasing this if you want to extend and/or strengthen your network.

With the app very easy to use. Seems to be stable and provides additional speed to a dead zone in the house. Like that it is a mesh not just an extender.

Bought this extender to go with my “ASUS - RT-BE82U BE6500 Router.” Setup was simple using the ASUS Router app. Only a couple of steps through the app, and then let the extender complete setup, update firmware on its own. After setup was complete, I moved it to the basement and have excellent performance. No complaints and would buy again.
Love the device. My base network needs help still.

Setup as an Access Point with a hard-line backbone. Works well but did take about 3 hours to configure to a point I liked. It exposed a bufferbloat issue with my modem that I have yet to address.

I bought this to help with coverage of my network. The installation is pretty seamless and I was able to add this to my ASUS mesh network via wireless connection. The connection speeds were great for the devices that connected through it. When looking at all meshed devices, we noticed this needed to be updated. Cool. No problem. The app helps with that. We did the upgrade. Post upgrade, the BE58 wouldn’t connect at all. We tried multiple scenarios; even resetting the extender. No luck! We had to return it to the store and bought the AX58. Though not Wi-Fi 7, it’s been more stable.
