Range was actually worse than my old tp link that I bought for half the price, but it was fast and had a lot of features.

great router, looks good, range is good. It doesn't catch in the garage, which it is not far from. I don't think this is a quality issue or lack of signal strength, as I have brick walls. Good for everything promised. I connected this with the ZenWiFi 3 pack with this as the primary and the 3 pack as nodes around the house. Great setup.

Fast network I can use now. Wifi speed I use is 1gig and results are 900-980mhz for wifi. Super fast.

Exactly as advertised. Set up was so quick and easy. I seriously can't even explain how simple it was.

Boosted internet speeds immediately. Wifi 6 blows the previous generation out of the water. Customizable rgb settings, but you can really only change the color for these settings on a few options. Easy set up through the separate Asus Router app, just plug in and play! Was slightly pricy, but you're always going to pay more to upgrade, and this model should hold it's weight for at least a few years.

I run this with my xbox and get no lag whatsoever. (No ethernet and i get 10-13 ping)

Waited to review this router for at least a month before reviewing. It replaced a Linksys AC1900 that I had for 2 years that was not performing well at all. Installation and setup was easy and should not be a problem for a novice. Most notable improvement was my download speed that jumped from 86mbs with the Linksys to 261mbs which greatly improved the quality of Netflix, Amazon Prime and downloading large files. Secondly, my buffer bloat (lag between requesting packets and receiving them) dropped from110ms to less then 30ms for downloads and and 140ms to 80ms for uploads. This is one of the causes for stuttering when streaming video content. Coverage is now much,much better in my 1800 sq ft home where the router is centrally located. Highly recommend this router even if you are not a gamer.

Works great better than the Netgear nighthawk I owned for years

I live in a townhouse where my bedroom is upstairs and the modem is downstairs. My Wifi in my room sucked super bad so I bought this router as I do play games and need my internet to be good in my room. Best purchase ever. My WiFi has never been faster. It also has some really cool features on the app.

We liked the item but hated the lack of support we got from Best Buy when connecting it. Thank God our neighbor is a computer genius and hooked it up. We even paid $200 plus for no support. Very, very disappointed - first time ever the Geek Squad let us down.

Originally got a $400 router on sale for half price during Black Friday, and I have never had so many issues with a router. Spent hours just trying to connect my printer to the wifi with no luck. Must have been a good reason the discount was so deep. I took it back after a couple days of wasted effort and exchanged for this. Couldn't be happier! Everything worked perfectly right away. On the 5ghz wifi band I can transfer files from my PC to my NAS at 40MB/sec, a huge upgrade from my previous Google Wifi router. My only complaint is I would have liked to keep the combined 2.4/5ghz bands for cleanliness, but I just could not get it to keep my PC on the 5ghz band even though they're only about 20 feet apart. There are some settings to adjust and I poked at them a bit, but unless you're a networking technician the parameters are far too technical to understand. Being able to tie a mac address to a specific band would be a really nice and simple feature. In the end I just split the bands and problem solved, it just seems kinda silly how little control you have. One other thing, MU-MIMO is a big reason I upgraded my router, and for some reason it's off by default. Be sure to go through your settings to make sure any advertised features you want are turned on. If I had to nitpick anything else, the design is kind of dorky. It lives in our closet anyways so whatever. It also lacks mounting holes on the bottom, so you don't have the option of wall mounting in case you're wondering.

Easy set up and works very well. I set it up myself, not very complicated.
