I'm sure that by now everyone already knows about this cute little droid, so I wont bore you with the specifications about it. It's a lot of fun to roll around the house, or to just watch it roam around by itself (and bang into quite a few walls along the way). Somehow this little droid comes across as a real Star Wars droid come to life with how he interacts with everything around him. The app that controls BB-8 is put together well, and it's very easy to use for almost any age. I do like how the developers have made it so BB-8 can receive future updates to his software. This means there will be new things added to BB-8 every once in a while to give him new actions, sounds, etc. The fact that I now have BB-8 from the new Star Wars movie in my home is really neat, but the part that makes it great is that it moves and looks almost exactly like how the movie trailers show BB-8. Overall this is a great little droid, and I think that anyone who is a fan of Star Wars, or is just attracted by BB-8's cute looks should buy him. Even though it is a little pricey, it's worth it in my opinion.

This remote control robot is fun for any age. The interactive iPad app is very futuristic snd easy to learn. There are several modes of operation including a recon option in which the droid moves about the room on its own and another mode in which the user controls the droid's movements. The only thing I was disappointed by was the incredibly small size of the droid,

I received BB-8 as a Christmas gift and couldn't be happier with it. For starters, it is well packaged. The toy was well secured and it's clear that time and effort was put into the details. The device is well made and has a decent weight to it. The USB charge is fairly quick and after downloading the app for free you're good to go. So the main question, how does the device operate with the app: Great! I haven't ran it through long durations of use yet but I have put it through the paces. It does take a short time to get accustomed to operating it but it is responsive to your commands and physical obstacles. It has become my cat's favorite toy/terror over the past month. It should be noted that even when not in use, it does make a great table decoration when BB-8 is nestled in it's stand. Overall, very pleased with the product.

Everyone of every age LOVES playing with this! The app is easy to install and figure out. Just wish it was a little larger, like the size of the cheaper version that comes with a remote.

My kids and I love this! Perfect Christmas present for the whole family. The app has a lot of fun ways to play with BB-8 and it was a huge hit on Christmas morning.

Love BB8! The technology is amazing! He moves just like in the movie. The phone app is reasonably easy to work with. So much Fun!!!

No hes no frankenstien monster if you get my title. But this is pretty much like having the real BB-8 from the movie in your house, but obviously a much smaller version. The app you have to download to your smart phone is pretty cool, but there are a few bugs that need to be improved upon. Such as navigation, he doesn't always go the direction you're telling him to via the app, and there definitely is a small learning curve to understanding the app and how it works with BB-8's features. I did find a really good video on YouTube that was about 15 mins long that helped me a lot! Also, for this caliber of a toy (if that's what you want to call it) I still think $149.00 is pretty expensive! A more appropriate price would be $99 and BB-8 is worth that all day long. But $149 plus tax is stretching it in my opinion. Still... I bought him anyway, as this is a must have for us die hard Star Wars fans!

This is a great product. So much fun and feels like it is good quality. Both the product and the app are solid and compliment each other very well!

Sphero always offers great stuff and this BB-8 is no exception. I was sad to hear that Sphero is cancelling all licensed products but excited when I was able to get such a stellar deal. App works great and controls are really well done. Sort of wish I could purchase a separate remote control just so I don't always have to be on the phone but for $30 I can't really complain.

My son absolutely loves this toy. It seems very well made, the app is very user friendly, and it was definitely worth every penny. I would highly recommend it.

So far works like a charm. Can't wait for future upgrades.

We bought this on sale as a Christmas present for our 6 year old. We have nothing but good things to say about it! She loves it and even my husband and I get a kick out of using it. We had the app downloaded to a phone, and we didn't think it was worth spending about $80 to get the "watch" to control it. It doesn't work on the carpet, so we use it in the kitchen, but that's no big deal. We even used the feature that it comes with to have it watch The Force Awakens with you, and it's so cute. It was a great buy!

Doesnt run great on carpet but the app on the phone is amazing. The bf loved it.

This is so much fun! I have the force wrist strap and the app enabled on my phone. I can't wait to watch a Star Wars film with my new little buddy! I ordered R2 D2 to keep this guy company on my Star Wars shelf. Highly recommended!

Love this BB8! He is small but very well made. The app to control this unit is easy to use for all ages. He works well on hard floor surfaces and will also work on carpeted flooring. My 2 year old son absolutely loves him...almost as much as me.

I am very impressed with the quality of this BB8, as an ornament is a good looking toy, even the box is nice, and is fun to play with it, the app is very friendly and easy to install.

I bought this item for Christmas for my son. He lives in Florida and I in Chicago. This gift was really cool for maybe 20-30 minutes with him but he lost interest really quick. But that’s besides the point my daughter and I loved it! The problem we had was the tablet he uses did not work very well with the App it kept on crashing and giving us errors. I downloaded the app on one of my older iPhones and it worked great. If you have an apple device I would recommend this item just know if your kid is advanced they might lose interest quickly.

Its a beautiful technology, works great thru app and this is the only legit version. I've seen other remote control versions but they're not good as this. I Definitely recommend this one

Bought this on Black Friday deal for my 7 year old. He loves it. Battery life is great and the app is very friendly and intuitive.

Really brilliant toy, intuitive app. The “watch with me feature” is quite fun too as he reacts to Star Wars movies when you watch.
