No cords, just charge, fill and go over old and new carpets. Once the dirty water reaches capacity it will automatically shut off, just clean it out. Make sure you have water and liquid in there and start again but if you run out of water, it’s not a big deal. The only time you will find it shutting off between cleaning is if it wasn’t properly charge or maybe a part was not fitted back properly in place. My carpets are old and it takes care of the job. I have pets it cleans wherever they make a mess. Just clean out all the areas as instructed.

For the first time in your life you’ll say my floors are clean and it does an excellent job on the rugs as well as making them look brand new. It is super easy to use just fill the solution container with water and cleaner and put it back in, plug it in and choose the hardwood or Rug option. Best choice for cleaning the carpets and hard floors without causing neck, or back, or hip pain.

We ordered the cordless version, and it’s been phenomenal, it cleans and vacuums so well even with two long haired dogs! The only downside we have with it is that the battery life could be longer, but it gives a nice break in between cleaning rooms!

3 years later & im just as happy with the performance as the day I bought it. We have 1 large dog, 2 cats and 2 kids. No shoes in the house but lots of inside/outside & that makes our house pretty messy. But luckily with this guy we are able to keep up on the cleaning & so far no issues!

One of the best purchases for floor care I have made. I have 3 dogs, so hair and dirt are part of the package. This machine has decreased the time I sweep, dust, and then mop with the feeling my floors are still not that clean. The pet crosswave has made my floors so clean I can walk on my vinyl floors with my socks and they arent covered in hair or dirt. Charge time is quick, the self cleaning brush action is amazing! The picture of the brush is after it was cleaned from the mess in the container. Wow! . If you are on the fence and considering a machine to clean your floors and have pets don't hesitate. It is the best!!!!

Haven’t been able to really use any product successfully on rugs without hours of spot cleaning, then applying partial to surface area, then refilling, applying to almost remaining surface area, only to hardly seem damp, then emptying smallest dirty liquid container after 10 seconds, then rinsing, cleaning, drying, or waiting and recharging dead battery for 3 hours min, then reapplying to now dry rug partial area #1 I DIGRESS. 9 hours later end up just pouring the solution and warm soap water and scrubbing with sponge to achieve any bit of sanitary confidence. I could have (and did eventually buy new rugs entirely at less than what I’ve spent trying to preserve them) Often times, end up using up entire supplies of accompanying carpet solution which is costly and not as effective as other go to products. It is great on hardwood floors and smells great on extremely small car size rugs (and certainly not area nor runners - but I guess you can always move them elsewhere like outside?). Does not connect to WiFi. AND I still need to reg vacuum my actual carpet in rest of apartment. It’s madness. Graduate Student = Poor and 3 months of false hopes. On #4 now bissell product please help.

I’ve bought allot of these, this is my 5th vacuum mop, all different brands. This is by far the best ive found. There is cleanup after use and if floors are very dirty i have to go the old fashioned way and use a mop. I haven’t been able to find a magic macine that does it all, still searching but this comes pretty close.

    Neat Concept

I live in a house full of girls, to include our four-legged family member. So, hair and fur on the floor is a thing in our house. Like many have stated that needing multiple tools to clean your floor is a thing. You begin by sweeping, then vacuuming and finally mopping the surface. In comes the Bissell CrossWave X7 this neat concept that does it all and has really made cleaning different types of surfaces a quick and simple chore. The X7 comes with everything you need to get started. In the packaging you’ll ger the vacuum, charging/storage base, charging cord and even cleaning products. They have incorporated a two-tank system so you don’t have to worry about dirty water going back on the floor after your finished cleaning. I really like this, because when using a mop and bucket you are literally cleaning a floor with dirty water. I have really enjoyed this lightweight extremely powerful little vacuum/mop and so far, it’s worked great. Although, if I did have to mention one thing that isn’t so great, I’d have to say the battery life. In my experience I’ve gotten a little more than thirty minutes per use out of it. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because if you plan out a good cleaning schedule this isn’t a bad thing at all. All in all, I 100% recommend the Bissell CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro. This item has made cleaning a little easier and a lot faster.

I'll start by saying that I had a previous model of Crosswave prior to getting this one. I had the corded Pet Pro Plus. While I loved this model the X7 is world's better!! In our household we have 3 dogs and a young child; messes are an everyday occurrence! Our back yard turns to mud everytime it rains so keeping the area between the back door and the dog crates clean is a huge chore. This has significantly assisted in that. I noticed the X7 gets much closer to edges than my old one and it is also much more agile. The swivel on this one is fantastic and it's also a hair smaller so it can now get under my cabinets and in the tight spaces around my toilet. This is a huge win!! A few weeks prior to getting this unit my old one broke (user error) so I had some stuck on sticky spots in my kitchen to test this on. It preformed beautifuly!!! The old sticky spots were no match for turbo mode! I was delighted! I was also able to test this on dried up muddy paw prints as well as fresh dog puke (yuck). In both situations the Bissle was up for the task and cleaned the mess flawlessly. I worried about this being cordless, but turns out I had nothing to worry about. I was able to clean my living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom on one charge (literally, it died right as I finished!) And that was even with using turbo mode for much of my kitchen. It is also much lighter than I anticipated being a cordless unit. There are three modes you can use while cleaning, hard floor, area rug and turbo. This can be changed at a drop of a hat using a button on the handle. Turbo mode makes the better spin the fastest and uses a little more solution for the extra tough messes. This is a nice touch. I also really enjoy the self clean feature. You put it on its dock and hit a button and it cleans itself, running solution thought the machine while running the rollers to rinse out the hard to reach areas. It does so using the fresh water tank. No more tiny cup and bending over to run water through it!!! The X7 looks great and preformed wonderful.

Dog? check. Dog food? check. Dog leash? check. Sanity fading fast? check. Bissell - CrossWave X7 to clean up after dog's slobber, spilled food, and chew stick residue? Checkmate. The Bissell CrossWave X7 is positioned as a must have accessory for pet owners and it does a good job. My hard floors are noticeably cleaner after using the CrossWave X7 and I thought I did a pretty good job keeping them clean before. The CrossWave is light. Set up was easy. It was completely charged out of the box in under four hours. Inside the box, you get two bottles of the pet cleaning solution and two rollers to compliment the solution. In the user guide, Bissell talks about matching different roller types to the cleaning solution that works for you. Bissell advertises that you will get around thirty minutes of use on a single charge and that was my experience. Everything works well. The unit maneuvers easily. The lights around the roller change from white to blue to let you know when you are dispensing liquid. Some tips, as tempting as it might be, don't hold down on the nozzle for the cleaning solution. You'll burn through that clean tank in no time and fill up your dirty tank real quick if you aren't careful. In my experience, a little solution does go a long ways. The CrossWave X7 comes with two small bottles of cleaning solution. In my experience, you will easily go through those bottles in just a few cleaning sessions. After refilling the cleaning tank twice, I had nearly emptied out one of the bottles. Best to keep a bigger bottle on hand. The unit has a self cleaning feature, but you still have to disassemble the unit to clean it after you are done. And, that's probably my biggest gripe with the unit. There's a lot to take a part. I struggled a bit to get the cover back on the roller. Tip: line the cover up with the grooves like a hinge and roll it back in place. So in conclusion, I think this is a great unit for hard floors and area rugs. I wish maintenance were a tad bit simpler. But, I'm sure I will get used to that. Nitpicks aside, this is an easy vacuum to recommend.

I am a neat freak. If you have shopped for vacuums and steam mops from Best Buy over the last 5-10 years, you will have seen that I have purchased and reviewed pretty much every type of cleaning gadget there is. I get it from my mom. She kept our house like a museum. I still feel like I need to hand her a set of white gloves for an inspection every time she visits! Anyway, my house was built with tile floors for most of the downstairs areas and the bathrooms. Recently we pulled all the carpet from the upstairs and now our house is pretty much 90% tile or 'luxury' vinyl wood. I had a system down for before with a good steam mop for the tile and a great vacuum for the carpets. Now with so much tile, the steam mop just can't keep up and I have been resorting to vacuuming the tile first, then using a dry disposable dusting cloth to get the remaining dust and fur/hair from my cat & wife respectively, and finally doing a pass with a wet cloth run. With about 2500 square feet of hard floors, it not only takes forever, I also run through a TON of those disposable cloths (the wet ones never doing that much good either). I needed something better. Along comes the Bissell - CrossWave X7 Cordless Multi-surface. I love my Bissell steam mop so I decided to give this a try. Here is what I really like about the CrossWave X7 (from here on just called the X7): 1. 3-In-1: Combines vacuum, duster, and mop all into one nice, easy to carry/use package. Because I can do what would normally be three rounds around the house with one pass, I am definitely saving time. I did the whole house in about 45 minutes rather than the hour and a half it used to take. I consider that a big win. 2. Cordless: I love that the X7 is cordless. I can take it anywhere is the house easily. My steam mop is great but has a pretty short cord reach. I was always having to unplug/plug it back in all over the place and even if I did it really quickly, it would still take a minute to fire up the steam again. 3. Impressive Cleaning: My go-to test for a new cleaning device is to use it on what is already what I consider to be a pretty clean surface. I had just done the floors last Thursday afternoon because we had a guest coming over on Friday night. I gave the X7 a run on Monday morning, so like 3 1/2 days with just me, my wife, my cat, and this guest (who was only here for like 2 hours). You can see from one of the pictures that I was able to get up a disgusting amount of dirt off of what I considered to be a still pretty clean surface. This was just from doing about 75% of the downstairs tile. I am actually pretty ashamed to show that. 4. Easy to Clean-Up Afterwards: While the other methods I used were also easy to clean-up after since I mostly just had to dump a vacuum bin or throw away a disposable cloth, here everything pretty much just goes down the sink. Tap the hair trap on the garbage and that takes care of most of the clean-up. Put the X7 back on its cradle for charging and a quick 30 second run of the self-clean, and you are completely done. When I was done with the whole house, I could see that the roller brush was pretty dingy but after the self clean, it was back to looking new when I popped it out of the roller head to dry . Things I Wish Were Better: I don't really have any dealbreakers with the X7, but there are a couple of things that they could do for the next generation that would make this an absolute 5-star cleaning device. 1. Slightly Longer Battery Life: I got the 30 minutes that Bissell said but not a minute longer. That was solely doing the hardwood setting. I needed about 10 more minutes and I could have done the whole house on one charge. If you have less than 2000 square feet of floor to clean, you will probably be able to do it all with one charge. 2. Larger Clean/Dirty Reservoirs: I realize that there has to be a trade-off on this to keep the X7 portable, but I had to both fill up the clean reservoir and empty the dirty reservoir three times while doing my house. I would say you get about 750 sq/ft per go. I probably would have had to do it even more if I used as much fluid as they recommend. Bissell says you should have the trigger going for both a forward and a back run and then to go over it again back and forward another time with just the vacuum for best results and faster drying. For me, I thought it was best to just run it on the forward push and then to do the back and another forward/back run to maximize the amount of fluid picked back up. Even with just dispensing fluid on the brush on the one push out, it still put a ton of liquid on the floor, which not even three more passes with the vacuum was able to pull up. 3. Better Fluid Suction: The X7 does a great job picking up hair and debris but could use a bit more power/suction for the cleaning fluid. Again, this is a tradeoff for being able to pick up regular debris as well as being able to mop but the fact that the cleaning head can't actually get a really good seal on the floor to suck up the fluid, leaves quite a bit dirty fluid on the floor. This is where I knocked a star off. After seeing how much dirt the X7 was able to pull up, I want ALL that dirty fluid picked back up! To be fair, it did vary quite a bit based on the type of flooring. On my downstairs tile which is an 18" x 18" ceramic tile with pretty wide grout lines, it didn't do as well as I would like. On my flatter bathroom tile which also has slightly narrower grout lines, it did better. It did best on the luxury vinyl 'wood' floors. I kind of expected that, but maybe that is where Bissell can work on having a better variable suction. Neither Bad Nor Good, Just An Observation: The X7 goes through quite a bit of cleaning solution. They give you two 8oz bottles in the box and I was thinking that this would be good for 4-5 cleanings of floors. Nope. I used one whole bottle on those three fill ups that it took to do my floors. I mean, I guess that isn't the best thing but I didn't really have an idea how much it would need. Also, I would have appreciated it if Bissell had given one of each of the main types of cleaner solution instead of just the one kind. That way I could have done a better job figuring out which was best for my floor combination. The Clean+Natural Multi-surface is good, but the other kind might be better. Conclusion: All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with the X7. It saves me time and does a pretty darn good job of picking up both regular household messes as well as all the fur/food/litter my cat leaves all over the house. It's really good as it it, but if the next generation can fix those few quibbles I have, it will be a no-brainer for homes with lots of hard floors.

    - this exactly what I need specially having a small condo with a 4 month old puppy that im currently still being trained, I also have wooded floor but I do have couple of carpets that’s placed around the house, the biggest one I have is the main living room area where where my 4 month old puppy ended up peeping and little accident - this crosswave by bissell really is the perfect match for me, now I can clean the whole carpet if I wanted to rather than me just spraying the spots that needed cleaning - I love the look of this vacuum, the grey, black and a touch of brass color definitely made this look extra premium, part of the main handle have the brass color and a bit of it from the main bottom part of the body - the package also comes with two small cleaning chemical to use, and two brushes, so as soon as you open it you can go ahead and start cleaning! - the charging dock is also there, but feels very cheap seems like it’s something that could just give up on me in no time, but it blends in with the vacuum once it’s setup - setting up the vacuum was also a breeze you have 2 tank area for the fresh chemicals and when you have to remove the dirty water once you’re done cleaning. - for a full charge Bissell recommend to charge it for 4 hrs. battery life hasn’t been an issue for me considering I only have a small carpet area to keep up with - the cross wave have 3 settings depending on what type of surfaces you wanted to use it on, you have a hardwood floor mode, Area rug mode and Turbo pet mode if ever your pet made some really tough messes - after cleaning my carpets I would say the experience in cleaning this vacuum was so simple, almost everything can be cleaned in no time once everything has been clean you jus have to dry it and repeat the process - I can really think of anything negative about this vacuum, but if you have a whole carpeted room then I would definitely recommend something that’s not cordless, and the tank is not that big, for me I think it’s design for smaller spaces or mess, but if you have couple of medium size carpet laying around then yeah go for this, it’s easy to use it looks good and it’s cordless. this is amazing product very satisfied to have this and now I can have my whole carpet smelling fresh

A wet vac like this Bissell is definitely a must have for pet parents, I'll say that. This one does the job well, even on my shag area rug that tends to get vacuums stuck on it. A few quick pros and cons: PROS -Good suction (at turbo speed) -Great for hardwood and tile flooring cleaning - mopping feature is better than a standard mop - Comes with easy charging station and extra replacements - Comes with two containers of carpet cleaner CONS - Must be at turbo setting for good suction, and this drains the battery - the cannister needs to be emptied very often - Does wedge into deep corners or under furniture well like others - Everything attached right to the filter, which means more maintenance It works exactly how it should, however for the price point I'd expect less hefty maintenance on my end, ability to wedge into deep corners, and possibly last a bit longer in battery power. Nonetheless, it does the job well, and my floors look amazing.

The Bissell CrossWave X7 is a cordless wet/dry vac targeting pet owners with multiple flooring surface types. This batterty powered carpet cleaner is meant to handle large area cleaning as well as day to day messes. Between my kids and my husky I believe I have plenty of help making messes. In the box you will find the main vacuum unit, 2 bottles of cleaner, the charger base, and an additional roller head. The X7 already has a roller head installed right out of the box. There are 2 removable tanks – one for water/cleaning solution and the other for waste-water. Assembly only involved sticking the handle into the slot on the main body. After that the only thing to do was to allow the X7 to fully charge for a few hours. The only thing to do was charge the cleaner before first use. A full charge takes 4 hours, but runtime, listed as up to 30 minutes, is cleaning mode dependent. Using the X7 is fairly pretty straightforward – the included instruction manual an quick start tag outline things pretty well. I filled up the solution tank with the included cleaning solution and hot water as indicated by lines on the tank. The included solution bottles are 2 8oz trial size bottles of Bissel Pet Clean+Natural Multi-Surface cleaner. You can easily get 3-4 full tanks out of 1 of these bottles. Turning the unit on starts the roller bar and provides power the sprayer trigger. It also lights up the front light to illuminate your path. The manual goes through the cleaning modes that are available – hard floor, area rug, and turbo pet mode. Since I was cleaning my tile floor I left it on hard floor mode. The manual recommended a pretreat of sorts with the X7. Basically you run it over the floor with the sprayer trigger pressed in, and then allowing the floor to stay wet with the solution for 5 minutes. Then you roll back over the surface without using the sprayer in order to suck up the solution on the floor. This 5 minute break period loosens most stuck on gunk on the floor. In some cases I had to spray again or run back over a spot several times to fully clean up the spot. I did try switching to the Turbo Pet mode for the more aggressively stuck on items, and that did seem to speed the cleanup process along. Transitioning from the hard floor to an area rug was simple. I did my kitchen rugs while working on my kitchen tile, and then I did my hallway runner after cleaning my hardwood floors. The only thing I had to do on the transition was to change the mode from hard floor to area rug mode. The switch was seamless. In both cases my rug/runner was not left sopping wet, so drying time was pretty minimal. Since I do have a high shedding dog (husky) I vacuumed my runner before cleaning it with the X7. With the kitchen rug I didn’t do any pre-clean. The X7 still pulled hair and whatnot out of my runner, but it was minimal. The kitchen rug had a lot more hair pulled out in comparison, but that didn’t have any appreciable effect on performance. The manual doesn’t say you need to vacuum the surface beforehand, but I would recommend it if you are using the X7 for routine cleaning. For spills/tracked in mud/etc it won’t harm the X7 to clean away even if the area is littered with fur/hair. The filter and catch tray in the dirty water tank collect all of the sucked up material that isn’t a fine particulate, which makes it easy to clean out. Once you are done cleaning you place the X7 on the dock and start the cleanout cycle. It only takes 40 seconds to run and just requires filling the clean water tank with warm water up to the Clean Out line, and then pressing the button below the display. This process washes the roller out and clears the system of any debris. After its done you pop the roller cover open and take the roller out and slide it into the holder on the dock. Then you wipe out the bottom of the docking station with a towel or cloth. Cleaning out the dirty water tank involves a couple of steps to complete the task. Its not as simple as pulling it out of the machine and dumping it. When you remove the tank you are greeted by the filter on the top which needs to be pulled up to remove. The underside of it may have stuff on it that you can just wipe away and then rinse off. Inside the tank you’ll see a vertical gray tab to pull up, which is connected to the strainer. This has all the fur/hair/larger pieces collected on it and can just be wiped off into the trash. All that is left is the remaining dirty water, which I dumped outside due to some fur still floating in it that I want to keep out of the drain. You just have to rinse everything off and let it air dry before reassembling. I now have 3 carpet cleaners – a handheld Bissell Pet Eraser, the X7, and a Rug Doctor FlexClean. Performance wise the X7 does a great job of packing performance into a portable package. Is it as powerful as my big Rug Doctor cleaner – No. Is it a lot easier to use on small jobs or day to day cleaning – Absolutely. Can I bare down on ground in or heavy stains in carpets like the Pet Eraser – Not really. Is it more ergonomic to clean larger light stains than the Pet Eraser – For sure. The X7 really falls into the middle for floor cleaning in that it won’t tackle deep cleaning of carpets/rugs or really stubborn stains/messes in them. However, it has no problem tackling day to day soiling from shoes, pets feet/drool, and some spills. Cleaning hardwood and tile were a breeze. Total cleaning time is pretty minimal, and the results are great. The battery life was great as well – I was able to clean upstairs and downstairs hard floors (800sq. ft), and some area rugs (<100 sqft) and still have a bar of battery life left. Things I noted from my time using the X7. The headlight changes blue when the sprayer is engaged. It will also flash white if the roller is obstructed or jammed up. The machine reclines about 45° before the brush head lifts off the floor. This prevented me from cleaning underneath my table without moving it out from the wall (normal height table that is 3’ wide). The solution dries pretty quickly and without any stickiness. The trigger is very easy to press and hold, so your finger won’t tire while holding it down. Depending on the types of flooring you plan to clean with the X7 you may want to look into some of the other cleaning solution and roller options that Bissell has available. They have multi-surface, wood, area rug, homes with pets, hard floor, and sensitive floor options. The included kit is the homes with pets option. Overall, the Bissell CrossWave X7 is a useful and easy to use carpet cleaner. The Li-ion battery power makes this easy to use and transport around the house. It works great for day to day and spot cleaning. The self-cleaning mode is a nice feature that speeds up the after-care cleanup time. I liked the ergonomic design of the handle and the trigger. My only criticism of the X7 is it’s reclining angle seems a little too high and it needs to recline a bit more to effectively reach under areas. Other than that the X7 was a pleasure to use and a nice addition to my floor care arsenal.
