There is a picture on the front stating that you won't have to do this yet I spend a lot of time doing this.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum was packaged well. Once opened, it was easy to assemble. The handle had to be clicked in to the base, attach the hose and insert the filter. It also comes with a few different attachments that can be used. I particularly liked the hand tool with the LED light. To operate, you have to really push to release the handle, turn on the power switch and then separately turn on the roller brush. You can adjust the level of the brush to fit the different types of flooring. The noise level is very loud, louder than other vacuums I've owned. The vacuum is extremely heavy and difficult to steer and maneuver. The swivel handle and low profile of the vacuum is nice but it's so hard to turn and steer. I would not be able to use this vacuum on stairs due to it's weight. The canister is clear so you can see when it needs to be emptied. And with a push of the button you can empty into the trash. As for the suction ability, it seemed very strong, which is good for picking up hair and crumbs. Overall, the vacuum seems to be an average vacuum.
