    IMHO bObsweep better than Roomba!

I read a lot of reviews and really had to look into my options with the robo vacuums. I settled on this one because of the price and had really great reviews. I've had mine for a little over a year now and have a love/hate relationship with my bObsweep vacuum. This is my honest review so it may be a bit picky. I have a 35 lbs super mutt who sheds a lot as well as I have long hair so this was bought to help keep down the hair and crumbs in our home between vacuuming. I am happy with the cut down of hair, but if I don't clean it after every use, the hair will get caught underneath the vacuum and drag around. Especially my long hair gets tangled in the brush preventing it from spinning. Not that big of a deal, I just have to clean it before I start it again the next time. Gets a tad tricky when I’m out and it will start alone as programmed. Cleaning the device is easy, you can easily clean every part and the brush parts but it needs it EVERY time before I can run it again or it will simply stop working. I do have an issue of it getting caught up under our dining buffet table which can be irritating since it should sense that it doesn’t have enough clearance. It'll bounce in between the dining table and chair legs back and forth to find an open spot for it to get out but I kind of lose patience in waiting for it to do it. I end up just picking it up and putting it near the base then it'll right itself. Most annoyingly (yes I’m a bit OCD) I'm not sure what pattern it has in its little system of the layout of my home but sometimes it refuses to go to certain places. I'm not sure if it has bumped into a dog toy, rogue dust bunny or whatever and decided it could never go back there again. It will go towards the middle of the floor sometimes and stop on a dime then take a right turn in a difference direction. It used to get stuck on a couple of kitchen mats so now we removed them to prevent it from doing that. I also had to remove the dog food and water bowl as it kept knocking them over and made a mess. Also I had to strategically place a few heavy objects to prevent it from going in certain places where it will get stuck. I have tried, to no avail, to unplug the vacuum to reset it and let it get another mapping of the house. I wish this came with virtual walls to avoid this. It may just be me... but sometimes it hits into walls, legs of furniture HARD with a big thud. Other times it will slow down and then lightly bounce off of something. I'm not sure the rhyme or reason behind it since the furniture hasn't moved since we bought it. While aesthetically I love that the top is glossy because it looks gorgeous (I have the red one), it does show dust or any little smudge like my dog bumping it with his nose. I feel like I'm always wiping it down so that it looks clean. I wish it was a matte metal so it would be less noticeable. Also it would be nice if it was a little quieter. I feel that, for my purpose, trying to cut down on hair and crumbs in between vacuuming bObsweep works well. Pros: easy to use, large dust bin perfect for pet hair, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST BY FAR! (Shout out to Ricky) Cons: gets stuck under dining chairs, weird random mapping pattern, hits things HARD, lacks virtual wall. Side note: I was given a Roomba 620 as a gift this past Christmas and it doesn’t even compare to my bOb: no programmable start, no remote, smaller dust bin and gets stuck super-fast with hair (dog and human). It now lives in the guest room unplugged waiting to be woken up only when needed on rare occasions.

Great robo vacuum at a great price point

I have had my BOBSWEEP Pethair Robo Vacuum for a little over two years now and continue to be impressed. I only have carpet in my master bedroom and a rug in my den and tile and hardwood flooring throughout the rest of the house. I still continue to be amazed at the amount of dirt that Bob continues to pull out of the carpets and how well he cleans the hard floors. We have two boston terriers and though they don’t shed a whole lot he still manages to pick up the dog hair that they do leave behind. When I ordered Bob I bought him with the floor mopping attachment. It is more like a Swiffer type pad and if you are doing a large area you do need to take the pad off and rinse it and re-wet it with your cleaning solution often. I would not say it replaces a good old fashioned mopping but if you use it regularly it does a great job as a damp mop and helps keep you floors looking good. Bob has a programmable docking station so you can set him up to automatically to come on and clean when you would like. I have never used this function because you really have to make sure the area is picked up. If you have a phone cord, lamp cord or stray sock on the floor he will find it. We have had a Roomba by Irobot befor our purchase of BobSweep. Disclaimer: (We bought it used from my neighbor who had it for one month and just did not like it). If I remember correctly it was a model# 630 and we thought it did a good job. But after replacing the battery twice in about a year and a half and a few other issues I decided it was time for a new one and that is when I discovered BobSweep. The price point was much better than the Roomba and had good reviews and that is when we purchased Bob. So, in my opinion BobSweep has been a winner hands down for this family. Keeping in mind that he had two more years for advancing technology in the world of Robotic Vacuums then the Roomba that we had owned previously and also know that my BobSweep Pethair model is just a little taller then the Rooba was and won’t fit under my couch. We feel that BobSweep was the best choice for us. He is also quieter then the Roomba that we had and I feel cleans a lot better and has bigger dustbin. When you see what all he vacuums out of your carpet you’ll be thankful for that larger dustbin. I did just recently have an issue with the dust bin in Bob. He keep throwing and error 08 code. I contacted customer service and we tried a couple of things and it was determined his dustbin needed to be replaced. I was pleasantly surprised to find he was still under his 5 year warranty and was able to get the dustbin at a pro-rated price. It was shipped out the next day ( with a gift included for Bob ) and he is up and working great again and we are still on the original battery. If you have a large area or open floor plan as we do I would recommend buying the blocks as well as it will break the rooms down into more manageable size for bob to do his thing and I think get better results. This is something I did a few months after buying Bob. Pros: Better price point then it’s main competitor, larger dustbin and does a great job at cleaning. Outstanding customer service. Cons: Mopping attachment has to be remoistened often. Would love to see them come out with a solution tank that would mist the floor when mopping. Hope this is helpful to you in making your buying decision, Brad Cobb

The Bob is The Bomb! Perfect for limited mobility!

This little "guy" is great. Just turn Bob on and wait for clean rugs and shiny wood floors. Seriously! I have run Bob for over an hour and the charge doesn't lose power. When Bob gets tired, he'll find his way back to the base to recharge. We have a little dog and two family members with long hair and he gets it all. The roller brush is better than any vacuum that I've bought over the years including Dyson, Electrolux, Hoover, and Oreck. I can pull the long hair out without any issues. The collection box gathers a lot of dirt/dust and packs it in well. No loss of suction when the cup is full. I've been running Bob for three weeks and have only done three empties. I have arthritis and difficulty manipulating anything small with my fingers. The bin cup is easy--super easy with a single button to press and a simple pull out to empty the bin and rinse the filter. A couple of more pluses... Bob is pretty quiet. The dog doesn't bark at Bob the way he barks and goes nuts with the "regular" vacuum. You can hear him running, but the sound is not intrusive. He'll bump around a bit, but the bumper guard is retractable and I haven't had any damage to furniture legs or walls. I have neck/back issues and the push and pull of a regular vacuum is torture on my spine. With Bob, he does the work and I just scoot things out of the way. This is a great item for someone like myself with limited mobility! I haven't taken the time to figure out how to program Bob and there's no need.He just figures out a path and tracks back and forth until the dirt is gone. I put him on AUTO with the UV light to disinfect and off he goes! The negatives? Not too many... I have few spots where the carpet is high with a pad underneath and he can get caught-up. The simple solution was to trim the padding a bit shorter than the carpet and it eased the bump without affecting the look of the rug. Depending on the distance between chair legs, he may/may not fit under the chair. He'll try his best! If you have low furniture like a shelf, you may need to dust separately. He's about 4 inches tall and will go under couches and any furniture where he can fit. He'll try his best in tight corners, but you may need to help with a dust/wipe afterward. Bob can "climb" the 3/4 inch tile threshold between floor changes from our wood floor to bathroom tile. The spinning edger brush looks flimsy, but it's not and spins well to clean along the edge at walls and moldings. There are many more pluses than negatives. It comes with a wet mop attachment, but I have only run it dry like a regular vacuum. This is truly a great item!

    I love my bOb!

Pros: + Picks up tons of pet hair. + Handles changes between carpet and hard floor easily. + Large retainer bin. + Huge on-device LCD display. + UV light for sanitizing. Cons: - Slow charging speed. - Doesn't seem to map the floor. - Doesn't detect black furniture objects well. - Corner spin brush doesn't work well on carpet (have to take it off actually). - Has a hard time reaching the charging base sometimes. I've had my bOb for 4 months now. I bought my bObsweep after looking through all the good reviews. I've never had a robot vacuum simply because I have a small apartment to clean with lots of obstructions. After seeing good reviews on bOb, I went for it and bought one to try out. I was initially skeptical because bOb would keep running into the walls in my apartment, but after not paying attention to him, it seems like he went on his merry way and actually got to places I didn't think he would reach. He definitely picked up tons of pet hair and dirt off the floor. It was even more than my regular Dyson was picking up. Not sure how that's possible, but I'm not complaining! I did have to send my bOb in for service because one of his wheels stopped working, but the process was extremely easy and straightforward. It took a lot less time for service than I thought and bOb came back in an even better condition than when I bought him. I even have my own personal contact for servicing needs in the future. Pretty neat if you ask me. My only complaints about bOb is that he doesn't seem to map my floor area, so he runs into the same spots over and over. In addition, most of my black furniture does not pick up on his eyes, so he runs straight into them. Not a big deal, but I know it slows him down to have to turn around. Maybe a future revision can fix this? Overall, I'm really happy with my bOb and the service that I receive from their support team. I'll definitely be keeping him for the long run.

    Works, but could be better

Let me start by saying that my first robot vacuum was a Neato, then a Neato BotVac, and then this bOb. I LOVED by Neato vacuums, but they regularly broke down after about 2 years so I thought it was time to move on and see how another brand would perform. So, compared to a Neato, bOb lacks quite a few features. The biggest feature I miss is that Neato kept track of the where it was and if it ran out of batteries, it recharged and went back to finish from where it left off. While bOb has an option on its base to start up again after a full charge, it just starts up from the base and cleans the same area again. The work around for this... I have to manage bOb quite a bit more and move it to where I wanted cleaned. I also do not appreciate bOb's completely random cleaning pattern. It does not move in any sort of regular grid pattern so therefore seems to take a long time to clean any one area as it zigs and zags all over. And for those of us that appreciate vacuum lines in the carpet, you will not get that with this vacuum... And finally, bOb is fairly tall so won't be fitting nicely under kitchen cabinets to get all the way to the kick plate, or any lower furniture (Neato was much slimmer). bOb also frequently gets stuck on the transition wood between bedrooms and main halls, so overall, bOb takes quite a bit more management and watching. A nice thing that bOb does come with though is a remote control, so in all the management and watching, you can easily grab the remote and navigate bOb off whatever the issue was. And I will say, the customer service that comes with bOb is stellar - you have a resource to ask questions of, they respond quite quickly, and when I had to send my bOb in for a major service it was not a hassle at all. If I had it to do all over again, I am torn between the Neato that functioned VERY well but only for two years at a time and this bOb, who with a lot more care and feeding, does get the floors clean in the end.

I received the BobSweep Pet Hair Plus in the color Champagne. The color is perfect with my home decor and I love that this is an option. The package arrived and I got a good laugh opening it to find Bob's "birth certificate". This is a fun, personal touch and made it very memorable from the get-go! Kudos!! I'm a mom with small children always at my feet and the instructions were easy enough that I could get him up and running quickly. I do feel that the instruction manual in my box was intended for a different model, as it describes cleaning options mine does not have and does not explain some of the buttons found on my model. However, BobSweep is user friendly enough that my 4 year old can operate it with the push of a button. I'm impressed with how thoroughly it cleans the floors and how well it cleans around edges and corners. Generally speaking, Bob does a good job navigating around the house by himself as well as finding his way back to his charging station once his job is done. The charging station is small and sits against the wall and I do not find it to be in my way. Bob does not work on shaggy rugs. He does best on high-low pile carpets as well as wood floors. Bob is equipped with an easy to clean dirt tray and my son actually finds this to be a fun job. I have noticed that it is important to keep the sensors clean as stated in the manual, otherwise Bob seems to get lost. The biggest area of improvement would be the sound. While Bob is not as loud as a typical vacuum, he is louder than expected so I do not run it while my children are napping or if we have company over. Overall I am happy with the cleaning Bob does, and it is so nice to turn him on with the push of a button and let him clean while I tackle other tasks or spend that time playing with my kids.

Have had one of the bobsweeps for a year and quite happy with it and thinking of getting my mom one for her birthday. I was surprised there are no reviews of this here, so thought it might be helpful to share some of the pros and cons. - it moves in random patterns but seems to cover quite a bit of space with each cycle. We live in a large size, 2-storey house with 5 bedrooms and usually have it clean downstairs. With 5 kids and two dogs, and over 2000 sqft to cover, we didn't expect bob to do a miracle, although what it does is in all honesty not too far from it. It doesn't get to clean the whole space and unfortunately doesn't remember where it left off but makes a significant difference , especially because we run it daily . We still use the upright often but not half as often as we used to. it's easy to clean the brushes and bin is super easy to dump but somewhat of a pain to clean the wheels: From time to time we have to remove the wheels to clean the dog hair from amassing around them which involves opening up the unit. This probably was my biggest disappointment with the unit. Do not have to clean the wheels as often, as brushes but I think this is a design flaw with the product to have to open up the unit to clean the wheels. It's not too loud , but you wouldn't want to be around it if you are relaxing or need to focus. It doesn't create significant noise when it's working Programming it is to clean is not intuitive but not difficult if you follow the instructions. The remote is nice and we use it quite often especially if the kids make a mess a we want to just do a specific area quickly. Overall, "bob" is quite popular in the house and two of our neighbors also got one recently.

I used it yesterday and again today I LOVE BOB!!! Hes my new man!! I have always been fairly healthy and active. I have fibromyalgia among other things going on. Way to young for my life to have come to a strong holt.  Vacuuming has been my worst night mare. I am a clean freak so its even harder on myself.  With having two cats one being a persian who loves to drop her "babys" as we call her fur balls. I really should/need to do a quicky vac everyday.  But feeling the way I do I have serious pain for at least 2 days after each time I vac. So yeah with that being said I really cant vacuum everyday. This little BOB has been here for two days, he has made me feel so happy just being able to keep up with the kitty's. I didn't post this right away it's now been a few weeks having Bob. And still the amount of vacuuming I have to do is only under and behind with detail, Bob really does keep up with the worst. I do have 98% hard wood floors, only 4 small throw rugs. Bob can vacuum the ones with rubber backing just fine. He will get stuck in a few places but over all I have NO problems. Bob does not make very much noise at all I think he's quiet. You can be next to him and still have a normal conversation. One of cats is terrified of vacuums and this one does not bother her. One review I read the person mentioned about having a can of compressed air on hand I totally agree do this! Dust is dust clean it out. Take your time getting used to how he works within your home you will have fun. I would love to have a second one for my basement. I will be getting one for my daughter when her home is done being built. Oh and Bob sends thank you gifts for adopting him, I love this guy. Thank you so much Bobsweep you have made my daily life a lot easier. Now if can you make a Harvey to clean my bathroom! I'll be all set. Thank you again!!! Me and my wife bought 2 BOBSWEEP PETHAIR vacuums at Christmas! One for us and one for my wife's Mom! I can't begin to tell you how impressed and amazed we have been every since we unboxed our gorgeous "Rouge" Bobsweep Pethair vacuum! "Bob" completely exceeded our expectations on his first run in our home! We just simply couldn't imagine that he would pick up so much cat hair, dust and dander off our carpet! We have 2 long-haired brother/sister tuxedo cats and they shed quite a bit of hair between the two of them! When you watch the Bobsweep Pethair in action it is really clear that he is a finely tuned machine and engineered at a high level with very quality parts! We have been so impressed with our "Bob" that I have talked 3 of my friends into purchasing their very own "Bobsweep Pethair" vacuums! The customer service is absolutely the very best I have ever encountered in my entire lifetime! Our remote control went out after about 5-6 weeks! I contacted "Gabe Aguilera" at customer service and he was "Top" notch from the very start and had me another warranty replacement remote control shipped out to me the very next day! Gabe was more professional and courteous and sincere than any customer service agent I've ever worked with in my life! I wish I could have the same level of "Customer" service with everything I've ever owned in the past as what I have experienced with Gabe/BobSweep! I really can't say enough about how satisfying it has been to purchase our Bobsweep Pethair robotic vacuum! Kudos to the company for offering what I think has to be one of the premier lines of robotic vacuums! My wife's Mom also lover her "Bobsweep Pethair" that we got her in the beautiful "Champagne" finish!

Good vacuum, not so good at floor transitions

As far as the actual ability of this item to get the floor clean, and pick up massive amounts of pet hair, it's at least four stars. It does a very good job, my reference vacuums are a Dyson V7 and a full-sized Dyson Animal vacuum. No, this vacuum is not as good as those, but it certainly accomplishes the task. The problem with this vacuum is that it cannot navigate over moderate-sized rugs. The vacuum often becomes stuck transitioning to a rug, even a fairly thin one. Most of the time it will not try to reverse itself, it will just stop. It cannot handle moderately long fringes as many Persian type rugs have. the other issue I have is that it could not easily navigate to its home base, I would have to control it via the easy to use remote control to get it back to its base. it's important to know that this vacuum does go in a random pattern, it will cover pretty much all of any given room, assuming it doesn't get stuck on anything, but it won't go in an orderly pattern. I really wanted to like this vacuum, and in terms of actual vacuuming ability, it was pretty good, but the whole premise of a robot vacuum is it will do the work by itself without you having to rescue it or guide it with the remote control, and in my particular instance it did not accomplish that task. It may work fine for other people, but it did not work well in either of my houses. If you have rooms with fairly simple furnishings, and all hardwood floors or full carpeting, then I think it would be suitable for you. I would still recommend that somebody try this, because I might work well in their particular instance, but for me it did not.

I purchased this robot vacuum so excitedly. It was the deal of the day and I jumped on it. It was from $800 down to $180. The packaging was beautiful and dedicated to our family. Setting it up was very easy and instructions were easy to understand. When I tried this product in my kitchen/dining room (were most mess is on floor), to my huge disappointment it couldn’t find its way out of under the table and around the chairs. It kept going around in circles. It never crossed from dining room into kitchen on its own. We had to guide it with the remote control. I had to stand there watching it and guiding it, which made me think, how is this any different from me using my Dyson?! The point was for it to save me time and more work. Then I was noticing not everything on the floor was being picked up, so I thought maybe I hadn’t set it up right. Seems to me the tile in my kitchen has deep groves and the robot vacuum not enough power to pick that up? Then I had it head to base and it couldn’t find it! After wasting my time I picked it up myself and set it on the base. Again, that’s not the point is it? I left it aside hoping to call Bobsweep Customer Service and to my surprise they are only open Mon-Frid 8-5. Well turns out my busy schedule is around that time and not only Mon-Fri but Saturday also. I never got a chance to call them so back to the store it went. I explained the situation to Best Buy and they were nice enough to make an exception for me since I had bought this over 3 months ago. I got store credit and I’m a happy Best Buy customer!! :)

So this was a Christmas gift for the wife, on Christmas Eve, we opened a few gifts and I couldn't wait to give it to her. She was so excited, it came partially charged, so we used it right away, it quickly got stuck under couches, hope chest, on throw rugs, it just didn't seem able to get around obstacles without help. But that's okay, so we charged it all night, and woke up to find out, that our daughter had gotten her mother another robotic vacuum. So we went from first time users to owning two different vacuums. The Bob sweep was Beautiful, bright shinning red, big, lots of bright flashing lights, I just loved it, my daughter bought a ilife robot, kinda small, little trash bin, so we got everything off the floor or tucked away and had a cleaning test, after 3 days it became very clear, the little plain white ilife robotic vacuum won hands down in the things that count, ilife rolled over throw rugs, no problem, found its way out of tight spots, unlike the Bob sweep which would either shut itself off or would stay in one spot spinning it's brushes until the battery died, this happened so often that the spinning brushes are now bent and cannot be straighten, the ilife had 2 spinning brushes, where Bob only had one. I am very sorry to admit the ilife beat Bob so bad I'm sending it back and buying another ilfe vacuum. I really wanted the gift i bought to be the better one. I guess I'm kinda small that way. I think Bob would be great for a large house that doesn't have a lot of clutter, which might be the reason it never once made it back to it's docking station.

So we were super excited to get our first Robot Vacuum. We have a dog that sheds so we were hoping to use this to avoid the build-up of dog hair in our home. It comes in a really well thought out box, and is easy to assemble. Charged it and was using it in a few hours (you must charge it first). I started out by using in in my finished basement, which is relatively flat with a very low pile carpet and a few low pile are area rugs. I found that it would frequently get stuck. For example, it kept getting stuck under my couch. It also had difficulty with the edges of the area rugs, it detected the black binding on them and would not go on or over them. If I manually placed it on an area rug it would not go off the rug. I had to turn off that sensor for it to work. I probably sat and watched this thing for over an hour. Besides watching it get stuck repeatedly (and this having to pick it up and move it) I noticed it would go over the same spots over and over and over. I watch with frustration as it went around this one spot on my floor that had a small piece of debris about 30 times. I finally used the included remote and steered it over the debris, but I should not have to do that. Maybe I expected too much? Maybe someone using this on a flat floor with no area rugs would have better luck. But mine went back on the box and back to the store, Sorry Bob!

When opening the package, I was really impressed by Bob. First off, he was sleek and red (to match me and my kids), and he looked easy enough to use. But the first time (and every time after) we used him he was insanely LOUD. Yes, so loud that we decided to use him only when we're getting ready in the morning, so that it's second alarm clock in a way. Bob's up - gotta get the day started. (We pick up every night to make sure no obstacles are in his way. We have concrete floors with a couple low pile rugs. His base is set up correctly with 10' in front and 2' min on each side.) But now we can't even let him clean unsupervised. He gets stuck on everything/anything and has a hard time returning to his base. He gets stuck on the kitchen mat, behind the buffet, and behind the Christmas tree. Not stuck on or under - just can't seem to find his way out... We bought a couple roombas back in 2009/2010 that we loved and figured technology would have improved since then, but no luck. Bob is being returned - he can't live with us if he can't be trusted to do his job without someone constantly supervising.

OMG better than we thought it could be! We have had Bob for a couple of weeks now and continue to be impressed. We have both fairly dense carpet and wood floors and he does great on both. I will admit, we are not setting him to clean remotely while we are away as there are some challenging places where he gets stuck and can't get himself out. We typically turn him on in the evenings when we get home from work-the noise level does not keep us from watching TV or carrying on a conversation even when he is in the same area. We have 2 indoor cats and 1 indoor dog as well as 2 outside dogs who come in to visit. It is AMAZING the amount of animal hair Bob picks up--and no more dust bunnies along the baseboards:) As I mentioned, he does get caught in some places--our sectional couch is just the right height that he will get caught if he comes at it at an angle-and the nap on the carpet makes it hard for him to get unstuck. That does not seem to be a problem on the hardwoods--seems he moves faster and therefore bumps into things a little harder and can work his way out of a tight spot. Is he perfect? No but he sure vacuums a lot more than we ever did. Great investment--especially since we got him as a deal of the day! Our floors look better than they have in years!!

Our family were already owners of the smaller version Bobsweep Pethair robot (Bobi) and were very happy with her performance. So I was intrigued when I learned Bobsweep had come out with a bigger robot vacuum. We recently have been using this newer, bigger Bobsweep Pethair robotic vacuum (Bob) and wow! Bob can hold a lot more in his storage bin than Bobi so it's nice that we aren't having to empty as often. Bobi occasionally gets hung up on a shaggy area rug that we have in our livingroom. Bob powers over the rug with no issues. I chose the "champagne" color and I think it looks really classy. We set up our Christmas tree this past week and Bob is doing a fantastic job of picking up pine needles and glitter from the decorations.

we have a large dining roon and living room al hardwood floors and 2 cats and a dog. sceptical at ordering whether it would do as advertised and whether the device would run away from the amount of pet hair, but after the first couple of times the dog accepted it as a friend and gets concerned when it stops running. Has great built in features of saving its motors should the roller be jammed. Quick easyjam cleaning. the vacuum is definately powerful because of its noise, but we run it while noone is around so doesnt really bother us. works great especially after it starts learning the layout. empty the bin every night and there is always alot of hair and dust picked up plus been in new england we goet a lot of sand salt tracked in and the vacuum also picks that up with no problems. only things is to plan before it start to pick up items it could get tangled in otherwise a worry free cleaning. returns home with ease. definately recommend to anyone who wants to keep up with cleaning pet hair and keep floors clean. Only thing missing is a tracking of where it has done. but really a minor point. there is no app intergration but we dont need it. definately set and forget

...I ordered another model by the same manufacturer. This one does a very good job of picking up pet hair, even after my wife has used her much revered Dyson, Bob ®™ picked up a full canister's worth in the hour it ran around our home. It has trouble with couches as it will sometimes get under one or a big chair and get stuck there. Sometimes it tries to head out the sliding glass door to the great outdoors and gets hung up on the metal runner for the door. Otherwise, it is a pretty durn good vacuum cleaner. It has no problem returning to it's charging station and I recommend buying one to try for yourself. I just ordered another BobSweep model, one that has infrared sensors to hopefully better navigate our home but am keeping Bob for use upstairs where the dog usually sleeps at night. Again, Bob®™ is an excellent choice in a Robotic vacuum. I should be listed as a verified purchaser but once again, Best Buy seems to forget that. I also bought the 4 year extended warranty which at the sale price seems to me to be a good thing to have.

First off, I was hesitant to purchase a robot to sweep up the copious amounts of cat hair in my house. I was certain that a cute little robot like Bob would fail at the task, boy was I wrong. The first day, Bob picked up something close to three cats worth of hair. I am not kidding, I could have sculpted 3 cats from the hair this awesome little bot found in my house. A couple of days after receiving our bob I received an email from the company asking me how things were going. THEY ACTUALLY CARE if I like the product. My floors have never been cleaner. I am so happy that my wife talked me into adopting this robot into our family. Unlike my daughter (13),bob never complains about sweeping or mopping. He even jumps a rather tall room divider to move from our living room to our kitchen. Not only is this a perfect product but the support that comes with it from the Bobsweep team is amazing. I will be buying another one of these little guys for my basement (Bob needs a little brother or sister after all).

I wanted to like this vacuum, especially for the price. Unfortunately, it's just ok. When it works, it's pretty good at what it's supposed to do. When it doesn't work, it's a pain. It gets stuck under my coffee table, trying to go over thin rugs, or gets stuck hanging over a small ledge that leads from the dining room to the living room (Why hasn't it learned not to do this by now??). It gets stuck so often that I only run it when i'm home and can supervise it. Otherwise if it gets stuck, it's not smart enough to turn itself off quickly but continues to run meaning the wheels keep spinning and leave black marks on my carpet. Not a fan. :( This is the second robot vacuum i've owned. I purchased a Neato at around the same price point a few years ago and loved it so much I bought a second vacuum (this one) for the downstairs. The Neato is so much smarter in terms of remembering areas (e.g. not to fall down the stairs) and just seems much more intuitive or informed about the space its vacuuming. I would pass on purchasing this robot vacuum again and wouldn't recommend it to others.
