I’ve owned quite a few robot vacuums over the years, and so far have been pretty happy with this one. The first thing that caught my attention with the BobSweep UltraVision was the roller design. Instead of using a traditional brush roller, it uses a wavy silicone roller. As somebody with cats, I immediately appreciated this because pet hair doesn’t get tangled up nearly as easily, and if the vacuum runs over something it shouldn’t, it’s much easier to clean than a traditional brush roller. Setup was incredibly easy. I downloaded the app, turned the vacuum on, pretty the charge button and had it connected within a few minutes. It was one of the easier robot vacuums I’ve set up. The app is also very straightforward, with most of the functions right on the front screen, so there isn’t much mystery about what you’re trying to do or where to find it. One thing that really sticks out is how responsive the vacuum is. If I press Start, Stop, or Return to Dock, it reacts right away. My other robot vacuum takes a lot of time to dock and undock, so this was a nice surprise. I’ve also been impressed with how well it finds its dock, given that I have this docked in a much tighter space than recommended. I expected this to create problems, but I’ve had no trouble returning and docking itself. As far as cleaning performance goes, I’ve been very happy with it. It does a thorough job and is surprisingly quiet compared to some of the other robot vacuums I’ve owned. My cats don’t seem nearly as offended by its existence as they are with some other vacuums. The self-emptying dock is easily the loudest part of the entire system, but the suction is strong enough that it makes sense. As for complaints, the biggest one is that I’ve managed to get this thing stuck quite a few times. The surprising thing is that I never seem to get a notification through the app when it happens. More than once I’ve started a cleaning cycle, forgotten about it, and then a few hours later started wondering where the vacuum went. I’ll eventually find it stranded somewhere under a chair or wrapped around a toy with no notification telling me it needed help. I’ve searched through the app looking for notification settings and haven’t really found what I’m looking for. It’s possible I’m missing something, but I really expected stuck notifications to be enabled by default. The other thing that surprised me is that it seems to run over and get tangled up with pet toys more often than I expected. I later discovered that the object detection comes turned off by default on the app for some reason. Still, this hasn’t completely solved the issue, and since this particular model is designed around pets, I naturally assumed there would be a little more obstacle avoidance built into the system. To be fair, my cats are pretty persistent at dragging toys out of their basket when they want to play. Still, I expected it to avoid a few more obstacles than it does. Overall though, I’m really happy with it. I like the silicone roller design, I like how easy the app is to use, I like how quickly it responds to commands, and I like that it doesn’t sound like a train every time it starts cleaning. It’s also a little smaller than some of the robot vacuums I’ve owned, which makes it easier to tuck away in tighter spaces.

The bObsweep UltraVision Pet Combo is the heavy lifter that provides the ultimate relief for our family, especially as a dog owner. As someone who has used smart vacuums for several years, I have always been frustrated by their limitations as they are usually either too low to the floor to move on carpets and rugs, or they completely fail to navigate between chair legs. I was highly skeptical of the UltraVision Pet Combo because I was afraid of being disappointed yet again. Fortunately, I was completely wrong. This is easily the best smart vacuum I have owned and used. The setup is incredibly simple, featuring a quick-scan QR code that gets you up and running in minutes. Once the app was live, my vacuum (whom I appropriately named "Rosie" from The Jetsons) was ready to go. Out of the box, the bot comes equipped with a three-bladed tandem side brush, a bristle-free silicone main brush to prevent pet hair tangles, and a DualScrub mop setup designed to scrub and buff hard floors while simultaneously vacuuming. I was immediately amazed by the vacuum's large wheels, which give it excellent lift and clearance above the floor. After doing my best to clear the downstairs of major obstacles, I set Rosie to begin cleaning. Powered by bObsweep’s proprietary QSLAM navigation software and a high-resolution VisiOn object-detection camera (right at the front), she began scanning, mapping, and moving in real time. It effortlessly navigated in between tight table and chair legs and moved over our carpets and rugs with little to no effort. The cleaning performance itself is outstanding. Boasting a massive 25,000Pa of suction power, it easily picked up our dog's stray kibble, hair and other stubborn debris that standard vacuums normally struggle to reach. Meanwhile, its FloorSense technology automatically detects soft surfaces, lifting the mops to keep rugs dry. The bObsweep mobile app accurately tracks its progress and builds a detailed, multi-storey floor map that you can customize, save, edit, or use to set NoSweep zones. When the job is done, it returns to its 180-day auto-empty dock. Please note that the automated emptying process is very loud; if you have dogs nearby or sensitive ears, the sudden suction can be startling. The dock utilizes extra-large 6 L (1.5 gal) disposable bags that hold months of hair, dander, and litter, and they are reinforced with activated charcoal to completely neutralize odors. What is very interesting, bObsweep has total privacy into the design. With their On-B Off-C™ architecture, maps are stored strictly locally, and a hardware constraint physically prevents it from transmitting data-heavy content like images or videos, making your home fundamentally secure against digital hackers. Overall, I am very impressed with UltraVision Pet Combo. It is an incredible cleaning companion that genuinely lessens my daily chores. I can simply turn it on, and focus on other tasks while it goes about cleaning.

My review of this is completely different depending on the price. At over a grand it gets a completely different star review than the current advertised price at a quarter of that. This is an excellent vacuum at the lower price and I will review it as such. I wasn’t impressed with the suction at first but as I looked around in the app and saw there was an option to increase the suction, the reduced suction definitely affects the battery life but for my floor it still has plenty of battery life. However, the suction is so good that it started pulling the rug up at the corners and getting stuck so I had to lower the suction. This is the first robot vacuum that has sucked up the corners of that rug so it definitely suction if that is what you need. I love the reusable dust bags, I’m not sure that I’ll be able to keep track of the second one but being able to empty the dust bag makes it real easy to just empty and use the same one. The base station was well designed for managing the cord which I appreciate a ton. And then there is the Alexa and Google integration if that is your thing. The vacuum is self-emptying and isn’t something you need to think about too often, the mop is a little more work with needing to fill the container and there not being a dirty water container, so it more about adding a shine than really trying to wholly replace your mop. For some this might be more than enough because they don’t care about a deep mop, or no robot mop can to the job properly enough for them. I’ll let you decide where on the spectrum you fall. It will eat cords that are lying around, as well as clothes and blankets. The suction works extremely well, after making sure the floor was picked up of things that cold be sucked into it, it was able to find itself around quite well, I blocked off my office in the app as there is just too many things on the floor for it to eat to be able to trust it to just go. After using the bObsweep UltraVision Pet Combo for several days, I can honestly say it’s exceeded my expectations. The initial setup did take about 60 minutes from unboxing to having the first floor mapped out. Connecting it to Wi-Fi through the bObsweep app was quick and painless, and the app itself is very intuitive. Creating the map, labeling rooms, scheduling cleanings, and controlling where it cleans were all simple to figure out. We have dogs, so pet hair is a daily battle. One thing I noticed after scheduling it to clean every morning is that the amount of dog hair around the house kept decreasing each day. Instead of waiting for hair to build up, it stays ahead of it. I was also impressed with how well it navigated around our dogs’ food and water bowls. It only grazed them during the initial mapping process but still cleaned close enough to pick up the crumbs and hair surrounding the area. The mopping function does take a little longer since the cleaning path is narrow, but the results were worth it. My wife is very particular about our hardwood floors, and even she commented on how clean they looked after it finished. That was pretty surprising coming from her since she rarely ends up happy with anyone else’s mopping. One thing we decided to do was vacuum and mop the hard floors separately from the carpeted areas because the mop pads are still slightly damp when the vacuum reaches the carpet. I think many users will be perfectly happy with the mop pads lifting automatically while cleaning carpet, this is simply our personal preference. Don’t get me wrong, nothing gets soaked, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The self-emptying dock was another pleasant surprise. As expected, it gets loud while emptying the dust bin, but only for about 30 seconds before becoming quiet again. Battery life has also been excellent, easily cleaning our entire 1,200-square-foot first floor of carpet, tile, and hardwood on a single charge. If it does ever need more power during a larger cleaning job, it automatically returns to the dock to recharge and will continue where it left off. Another nice feature is that it can store up to three different maps, so we plan to use it upstairs occasionally to help keep those rooms clean as well. The side brush does a nice job cleaning along edges and baseboards. Like most round robot vacuums, it can’t completely reach every corner, but that’s more of a design limitation than a fault of this model. Overall, having this vacuum has been great. It has quickly become part of our daily routine, and we enjoy waking up to fresh vacuum lines in the carpet and clean wood and tile floors without pet hair or debris. It keeps the floors consistently clean with very little effort on our part, and that’s exactly what I was hoping for.

I have had the bObsweep UltraVision Pet Combo Robot Vacuum for about a week now, and my floors have never been cleaner. Mostly because I have become slightly obsessed with the little robot and keep sending it out on cleaning missions every day. Setup was quick and easy. Connecting the vacuum to the app took only a few minutes, and I had no issues getting everything up and running. I have owned several robot vacuums over the years, and so far this app has been the easiest to use. The controls are clear, intuitive, and straightforward. There are a ton of settings to customize, including how often the robot empties itself between cleaning sessions, suction power for both the robot and docking station, object detection (so you don’t suck up your pets), mop intensity, automatic resume after recharging, edge detection to prevent falls down stairs, floor sensing, and much more. The app also allows you to create a map of your home and divide it into individual rooms. This is incredibly useful when you only need to clean a specific area, such as the kitchen, without sending the robot through the entire house. Another feature I appreciate is the compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant. Being able to start a cleaning cycle with a simple voice command is convenient and works exactly as expected. One thing I noticed right away is how much faster this robot is compared to others I have owned. There was one occasion where it got stuck on a very thin, lightweight rug, but I had the suction power turned all the way up and the robot actually pulled itself underneath the rug. It only happened once, and I have not experienced the issue again. My home is mostly hardwood flooring with a few area rugs, and the bObsweep does an excellent job identifying where it should mop and where it should not. The navigation and floor recognition have been impressive. Another standout feature is the privacy-focused design. While I do not fully understand all of the technical details, bObsweep states that the robot is engineered not to transmit or store images and that there is no physical pathway to access, intercept, or exfiltrate image data from the hardware. In a world where privacy concerns are becoming more common, that is definitely a reassuring feature. One thing I was initially hesitant about was the self-emptying bags that require periodic replacement. However, bObsweep estimates that each bag lasts around 180 days, and the app makes it incredibly easy to order replacements and maintenance parts. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the replacement bags and other components were, which eased any concerns I had about long-term ownership costs. Overall, I have been extremely impressed with both the vacuuming and mopping performance of the UltraVision Pet Combo. As someone with kids, I love not having to constantly pick up crumbs and messes left behind after meals and snacks. This robot has genuinely been a lifesaver. I also appreciate the scheduling features. Once everything is configured, you can simply set a schedule and forget about it. The robot automatically goes out and cleans when it is supposed to, keeping the floors consistently clean with very little effort on my part. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids, pets, a busy schedule, or anyone who simply wants cleaner floors with less work. The package includes everything needed to get started, along with some extra replacement parts. bObsweep really nailed it with this model. Between the easy setup, simple maintenance, intuitive app, smart features, and excellent cleaning performance, it has been a fantastic addition to my home.

This is my review of the bObsweep UltraVision Pet Combo Robot Vacuum with spin mops. I live with my cat Daria and I swear she is the queen of shedding, even though she’s a small, 9lb tiger striped cat, and my home is only 1750 square feet, the majority of which is tile and laminate, most robotic vacuum cleaners I have tried do not do a very good job with her fur, and unfortunately, the bObsweep does not do a good enough job for a couple of reasons. First, the bin on the bObsweep is really small, you can tell that it’s already full of dust and pet hair after only cleaning the living room and kitchen, you can hear the bits of cat food kibble continuously clicking less than 30 minutes in, which tells me it’s no longer sucking things into the bin. And secondly, after a full cleaning cycle, when it returned to the dock to empty itself, it was not able to do so; the fur was apparently too dense to get sucked into the bag attached to the base unit, so I had to remove the bin from the robot and empty it by hand. The final thing I’ll say is that it advertises that it detects and avoid pet toys, however that did not happen for me, it sucked in a felt cat toy which jammed the machine, but at least it’s an easy task to remove the jam and have the robot resume cleaning. But still, it seems that you have to remove and all potential objects that could stop the machine before starting a job. After having it in just vacuum mode the first day, I next tried the mopping function. I will say that it did a better job here, as you can see in the before and after pictures taken near the litter box. You can see Daria’s paw prints in the Before picture, and after the mopping was complete, the prints are gone in the After photo. Now, it’s not that the floor was spotless afterwards, but it did do a fair job, and I didn’t have to do a thing! The other nice thing about the mopping feature is that the bObsweep knows when it’s on a solid surface vs carpet, and retracts the spinning mop heads and stops the spinning when it’s on a carpet or rug, which is a really nice feature. The app was easy to find and install, and I would say is the highlight of the bObsweep. The main screen is intuitive showing the battery status and has widgets to click on to send it to the charging base, empty the bin, “Go” to perform a cleaning run, as well as access to the map, schedule, history, and other settings. I really wanted this machine to perform well, I have an aging RoboRock that was the top of the line machine at the time, but just doesn’t do as well today as it did when new. I hoped that this would be a decent upgrade, but this just doesn’t work well for my situation. This might do well in a smaller home or apartment with no or little carpet if you have a pet, but sadly, I just can’t recommend this product. It’s advertised as pet specific, but between the bin size and the trouble it has emptying itself when the bin is mostly pet hair, I think they missed the mark.

PRODUCT bObsweep - UltraVision Pet Combo Robot Vacuum QUICK REVIEW Easy Setup - Strong Vacuuming and Mopping. But mopping is not 100% automatic REVIEW I’ve had the privilege of trying a dozen or so robot vacuums. This has been the easiest to set up and operate, including some of the common brand name units. The bObsweep does the better job vacuuming. The mopping is OK, but it only uses water not cleaning solution. The mop is also not self-filling, self-emptying, or self-cleaning as you will find on other brands at or below this price point. This means you must take bOb off the charger, fill it with water (which drips out), then when you done, manually empty the water and clean and dry the pads. Let’s be honest if you are too lazy (and I count myself in the category) to vacuum, then you probably are not going to take all these steps to mop either. If you do decide to mop once in a while, then you are going to want something stronger than tap water, especially with pets. The bOb got stuck several times on the initial setup and vacuuming until I blocked off areas in the app. This is somewhat OK. because it tried to clean areas that my other robot vacs skipped. The bOb also did not get stuck on the fringe on my rugs as was the case with other bots I have used. I think this is due to the tangle free brush instead of the bristle brush. It did a good job navigating my complicated basement floor (hard floor) but covered with rugs. It did not get the rugs wet at all when mopping. So whatever logic they are using it works well. The docking process can be a little fussy. I did not have the dock perfectly level (it was partly on a thin rug and partly on the hard floor). So the power posts did not line up for proper charging. Instead bOb just kept doing a strange little dance trying to dock for about 30 minutes. Once I moved the dock a few inches all the way onto the rug it was able to dock. There is a bag required to collect the dirt, so that will have to be replaced periodically, but it also cuts down on dust getting back into the room vs a bagless solution. SUMMARY PROs • Strong Vacuum • Excellent Cleaning • Easy to setup and operate I would have appreciated at this price point automatic mopping features. Otherwise, it seems to be a fine and capable unit. I think it will keep up with out two dogs just fine. RECOMMENDATION If you don’t mind manually filling the mop, then overall I recommend the unit. If you would mind it, then maybe consider other options. You will probably sacrifice a little vacuuming power to get fully automatic mopping.

This vacuum is excellent at hair pickup and specifically pet hair. I have a pitbull that sheds her hair which is black fairly hard to find until it piles up in the corner. So having this vacuum with 13k pa suction means, anything on the floor is getting cleaned, so don’t leave random stuff in its path or it gone or will trip up or malfunction the vacuum. It comes with a 6L sock which is really big since we only have a 1500 sq ft home and the vacuum space is probably only 1000 sq ft. So we can set it and forget it, let it work for weeks at a time until it needs to be checked or emptied which is a huge time saver. It’s a large blue thick vacuum bag, that holds everything well and compact, so when you pull it out to throw away you don’t need to worry about spillage unless you are being careless. Im used to LiDar mapping so, I’m happy with that portion. So issues there. Mopping function is more like a light wipe. When I think mop, I think bucket, mop and elbow grease. This vacuum is not that and you shouldn’t really expect that from any robot vacuum. It won’t stay on stains until removed but it will loosen the spoils just in case you want to go back to fully clean the spot. App is iffy but so is my WiFi so I’m unsure on that portion.

Over the years, I have had many robot vacuum/mop combos from a variety of manufacturers. I’ve never tried a bObsweep unit, and was looking forward to it. The Pet designation was interesting to me, I only have one cat but that cat is an outrageous shedder. I can see fine little bits of fur everywhere in my house and wanted a vacuum that was more capable of picking it up (the other vacuum I had from a different manufacturer was not so capable) and had the spinning pads, as I have found those are generally more effective for mopping. The bObsweep Ultravision is a compact, good looking mop/vacuum combo, with an auto self-emptying dust bin. But it does not come with a water tank on the dock or self-washing pads. You are expected to pull the pads off yourself after each use, wash them, and fill the reservoir on the bot. Not a big deal, but there are many options in this price range that do come with mop auto-wash. The bot charges when docked, but I found that there were times when the contacts on the dock and the bot didn’t quite meet up and I had to shift and move the bot around to get it to charge. Set up was easy. Download the app, set up the dock, place the bot on it, let it charge. Meanwhile, use the app to connect. bObsweep includes an extra pair of pads, an extra filter, and an extra brush in the package, which was nice. The bObsweep runs the area just like any other robot vacuum, builds a map, and you customize the map. I wasn’t very impressed with the map itself. It was kind of a clumpy mess, and trying to split the rooms and set up zones was clunky. The icons on the left of the smartphone app aren’t labeled, so you’re just clicking and guessing at first to set the map up. In use—well, this is where I have a bit more of a mixed bag. Since the dock doesn’t have a water refill, you have to watch the app and see when the water reservoir on the bot runs out of water. You don’t get a notification that it is out, so you just have to watch it. Then you have to stop the bot, extract the reservoir, and refill it. In my case I have a 1800 square foot downstairs, and I had to refill the reservoir three times on one clean, even on the low flow setting. The bot also regularly gets stuck or just stops. I watched it go over a small rug, come off of the rug after vacuuming it, and then just stop. No message, no reason why. It would get into spaces and then not get out of them, and just stop. No message, no alert. There was even one spot where it somehow wedged itself in between a wall and my kitchen table, got stuck and couldn’t get out. So it just turned off with lights blinking and did nothing. My thought is if you can get yourself in there, why can’t you get out? Other than these issues mentioned, the Ultravision does a good job of cleaning. But I have to watch it constantly. I can’t just tell it to clean and plan on it getting the job done. It’ll work for a few minutes, encounter something that it doesn’t like, stop, and the only way I know is if I don’t hear it running anymore. So the bObsweep Ultravision Pet Combo cleans well, when it is working. But it gets stuck easily and needs regular supervision to function properly.

I picked up the bObsweep UltraVision Pet Combo to see how it fared against my current model "no touch" robot vac system. This review is based on 1.5 weeks of use, in a household with 4 cats, tile / wood floors, and approximately 2200 sq ft on the main level where the vac was set up.   TL:DR - I'm not sure I see a lot of difference between this robot vac and another popular vacuum on the market. Same features of a self emptying dust bin, mopping, and smart features to include zones, mapping, and auto sense. While there are a lot of features, I'm not convinced it improves the performance. Pros:  It's easy to take apart and clean, the mops pop out, the roller is a quick insert, and the dust bin slides out and the top pops off to empty. It seems to do a good job on light dirt / pet hair with the vac while mopping option.  Cons: It seems to get stuck about the same or more frequently than the other robot vac I have.  The dock where the robot sits to charge is level and flat, so the cats enjoy sitting there, preventing the vac from charging.  When the vac empties into the bin, it's 'hear it on every floor of the house' loud. On par with one of the 1990s style large corded bag vacuums.  The vac doesn't always fully empty into the bin, even with defcon level 5 sound, the suction doesn't match the noise.  In the box is the vacuum, docking station with dust collection bag installed, spare bag, spare roller brush, spare side brushes, mop heads, microfiber mop heads, heavy duty mop heads, filter, cleaning tools, and  paperwork. Setup is straight forward, in the box is a QR code for the app, so I downloaded and let it walk me through the setup. A few things to note, you need 2.4 GHz / dual band wifi, the cord is 3' so you'll need a location near an outlet to install it in, and if you don't go searching you'll miss key features. For example, it took me almost a week before I installed the mop pads, as it wasn't part of the initial setup via the app (or I skipped over it), also I didn't turn on the object detection on the initial setup, so had some issues with it getting stuck on rugs and cat toys.  As far as performance, the biggest difference from other brands is that this vac offers 3 levels of suction, and 4 levels of mopping, plus you can select areas not to mop if you have rugs or carpet. The app also offers options to auto resume if it needs to charge mid clean, it will pick up where it stopped, object detection, edge detection for rugs / carpet, and floorsense which will lift the mop if it detects carpet, but you did not select it as a no mop zone. That being said, I'm not sure all of these options does much with regards to performance. I can tell you if you don't have every single option on, it gets stuck on the rugs, the cat toys, shoes, etc. It also managed to smear a pile of cat puke down the hallway. Again, the performance improved once I turned all the vision and sensing options on, but then the battery life is less. It does take multiple charges to vacuum the main floor, and the mop bin only does about 400 sq ft per run, then you have to refill.  A few things to note: first the marketing is cutesy, one of the boxes has a stork carrying a bundle reading "It's a bot", and there is an included card with the weight and height of the vac.  Second is that it is engineered in the US, which is a start, however it's still assembled overseas, which isn't as appealing if you are looking for US made products. Lastly is it doesn't really feel like it brings anything innovative to the market. Yes the bin will auto suction the debris out of the vac, and it can mop, but you're on the hook to keep track of the water level and clean the mop pads manually after every use. Bottom line, it's not bad and it works as expected, but I think there may be better ones out there if you want a 'no touch' experience for both vacuuming and mopping. I'd recommend it to someone who didn't want to buy one of the other leading brands, or someone who wanted to support items that are developed in the US, but I'm not sure I'd recommend this over other products on the market today. 

Unboxing was simple, but I was disappointed to find out this mop didn’t have a mop station in the base. That would explain why this is such a small sized box they ship it in. I missed the fact that you have to manually fill the robot vac with water each time and manually empty it. My own fault. Base is little, since there’s nothing there but vacuum bag and charging points. Swift map – not really swift, this didn’t seem to go any faster for the initial map than my 505 Roomba did, or the i8 I had prior. But it did a good enough job. Editing that map – what a pain. NO text anywhere just a bunch of icons you have to click on to figure out what each one does. Eventually I found how to divide rooms, began doing so, and the app hung on the second divide I changed. “Something went wrong.” Had to exit the app and get back in and do it over. Can’t create custom labels, so my great room now has no alternative but “living room.” So now I have a “library” and “den” rather than second bedroom and music room. THAT is annoying. And the icons for each room are huge and actually make it harder to see where the bot is in each room sometimes when it is vacuuming. Alexa linking with the skill was simple and quick. No issues. But when it came time to connect, it couldn’t find anything. Then it “tried another way” and still failed. Got an email from Alexa that the skill was set up but even hours later there is no actual connection between Alexa and the vacuum. Thought I’d deal with that at a later date but a week later still haven’t been able to connect them although the skill shows connected. Finally had the map set, so I sent it to vacuum. Just hit the “go” button on the app. It started in the hallway, came and did one or two back and forths in the great room, then vanished down the hall again. Did a bit elsewhere, then back into the great room again to do one more line, then back down the hall. Since the hall is now a separate “room” I have no idea what it’s doing, as if it’s wandering intoxicated. Then it just went into the laundry room. Most vacs will work a room until done, then move on. This one is randomly doing bits in multiple rooms and not finishing a single one. Absolutely bizarre. Then it got stuck in my laundry room. One part of the floor has an angle, where they had to notch into it because of a stairway passing underneath. They needed a bit more clearance. I’ve had a dozen robot vacs, from a variety of manufacturers, Neato, Anker, a few no name brands, even a Wyze, before my last two iRobot Roombas, and not a single one ever got stuck here. This one got itself stuck about 20 times. Every time I fixed it, it went right back to the same spot. There is no learning here. No AI helping it out. I’ve never had to put a “do not vacuum here” type of block on any other robot vac in there. This one looks like I’ll have to vacuum that room manually because this robot is incapable of doing so. There is an option to draw a no sweep zone, but the no sweep zone’s minimum size is LARGER THAN MY ENTIRE LAUNDRYROOM. I finally had to drag most of the no vacuum zone totally off the edge of the map into the void that surrounds my house to try to get some of the laundry room to be vacuumed. So after stopping it so many times to unstick it, the thing just sat there and would not resume. I sent it back to charge, then created what no vacuum zone there I could attempt, and set it to clean again. I’ll say this much – at full power suction it’s not at all loud. It’s no louder than my Roomba i8 8550 or 505 were. One issue my 505 had was the spinner brush pulling off easily when it wound up with the brushes wedged by furniture feet and such. Never once was that thing able to do ANY room without leaving that behind. The Roomba i8 had no such issue, it was SCREWED IN PLACE. This one just pushes on like the 505 so I was expecting it to fall off. But then it took so much FORCE to press it on in the first place, I realized this one will NOT be left behind. I’m half afraid I won’t be able to get it off INTENTIONALLY when the time comes. Second cleaning attempt. It started in the second bedroom, since that’s where the base it. This time it seems to have completed the entire bedroom before coming out to do other rooms. And this time it also did the hallway entirely. Now it’s acting more like a normal robot vac. And my bizarre no sweep attempt in that dangerous part of the laundry room appears to have worked. It didn’t get stuck this time doing that room. But they really need to allow for a smaller option for blocking areas. But it did something even dumber then. It got stuck under my bed in the master bedroom, on a power cord laying across the floor. Didn’t get wound up, it simply ran it over with one wheel then started calling for its mommy. I have the things like AI object avoidance and such all enabled. Yet it can’t figure out what to do when it ran over a power cord with one wheel – clearly it had enough traction to go over it without a problem, why couldn’t it get itself off of it again without intervention? Yet ANOTHER thing that no previous vacuums had a problem with. I’m beginning to see why this always seems to be on such a huge discount sale. It had to go charge itself then before it could go any further, so I guess this will let me see how the resume function I enabled works. Battery life did not last at all as long as the others, but I WAS using the highest suction for the vacuum, so I didn't expect it to. That’s another thing – object avoidance, resuming a job halted by low battery – these things are all DISABLED by default. Why? Hours later it was out vacuuming the kitchen, so the resume worked. But it still didn’t do the dining room, and it never did. After it charged and resumed, it only did the half of the rooms it didn’t get due to low battery, missing a room entirely. At every turn this proves itself to be substandard. Cleaning seems to be OK, I’m not finding things left behind so it IS picking stuff up. But if I’m going to keep using this, I’ll have to manually vacuum under my bed apparently. A few days later I went to do more testing, and tried to hit “quick clean.” It nagged that it needs a map. It HAD a map. Apparently it takes a bit for the map to populate the app again, so you have to wait for that before the quick clean will give you options to pick a room. I tested object avoidance by putting a few things in the great room – sorry, “Living Room.” Then sent it to clean. It didn’t avoid the first object, it just pushed it as it kept cleaning since it wasn’t a heavy item. I placed a 32oz bottle of water in another place. I’m guessing there is some height limit. The first light object was only 3 ½ inches tall and around 6 inches long and two inches wide. Vac did not see it. Bottle of water was about 9 or so inches tall. It was seen. And yes, it avoided it – by treating it as a wall and NOT going around it or anything to get the rest of the floor on the other side. It just turned, kept doing its pattern, and never touched all the floor on the other side of the water bottle. Eventually when it finished all of the room, finally it got back by the water bottle and did a circle around it. But still never got the rest of the floor BEHIND it to the wall where it skipped The mop function – well, the less said about that, the better. I had an iRobot 505 mop with the self filling and emptying option, and that did an OK job. This simply makes the floor a little damp but doesn’t do anything to actually clean well. And the added annoyance of having to manually deal with the water makes it something I’d avoid. It cleans carpets well enough. But so do others a fraction of the cost. Too many annoying failures here for me.

I was hesitant on these automated vacuums but I figured with the advancements in technology it was worth a shot. I am extremely impressed with what this little vacuum/mop can do. We now vacuum at least 3 times a week. The best part is that we don’t have to be home to do it

I've used about 3 different robot vacuums of various quality, with this now being my fourth (the second is still doing the heavy work for the main floor.) Because it's a "combo" (vacuum and mop), I was surprised how small the dock was. It turns out the dock is only for holding the vacuum debris: You fill a water reservoir attached directly on the robot and must empty that yourself. Set up was straight-forward. Of course there's an app and you'll need it to connect the robot to your wifi network, configure schedules, control maps and update the software. The network and app connection setup was a breeze; however I simply could not get it to work with Alexa. Adding the skill was fine, but Alexa simply would not see the robot. All other functions of the software work really well. Scheduling is simple to understand, but the mapping zone edits took a bit to get. I definitely had to read the tips under the help section of the apps. Everything else about the app is laid out quite nicely. But how well does the robot vacuum? Pretty great, actually. I has three levels of vacuum power and 4 levels of mopping intensity, plus it does a great job at detecting edges - in my case, stairs. There's also an option to turn it off (not that I would ever do that!) I was also pleasantly surprised by how well it made the difference between hard floors and rugs - and it was amazing to see it mop and vacuum during the same job. Using the robot at moderate settings, the battery was able to complete the floor in one go. The only real issue I saw was that the robot was unable to go over the slightly elevated door frame going into the bonus room. Otherwise, this robot is doing a great job!

I am trying to enjoy this vacuum/mop. It was relatively easy to assemble. Not a lot to do. It contains an extra basket, which is nice. There are also different brushes and other accessories. Overall assembly was easy and straightforward. The app works pretty well, easy to use. It did a great job mapping out the room I set it up to clean. The one major con was : Connecting to the WiFi was a major issue. It needed to be directly next to my WiFi modem. This was annoying and kind of weird. When it was finally connected to WiFi it worked, but as it was running it kept loosing the connection. I’ve never had this issue before with any of my devices. It continued to do this. When running properly, it’s not too loud. It didn’t seem to bother my dog as it moved around the floor. It does a decent job of getting pet hair off the floor. I did not get a chance to fully use the mop due to the WiFi issues. It was ok on a test run. I like the look of the vacuum. It’s the perfect size. It fits nicely in a corner until I want to use it. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. Overall it works as expected, when it is connected to WiFi. I may get an extra modem for the living room and see if that helps. It may not be strong enough from the room it’s in. It is a very nice machine. I would still recommend it.

We’ve owned three previous robot vacuum cleaners from three different brands, and the Bobsweep Ultravision Combo Robot Vacuum and Mop makes our fourth. After owning and using four robot vacuum cleaners for over 10 years, my conclusion is that robot vacuum cleaners keep getting better and better. The BobSweep UltraVision is no exception. In case you want to reduce your reading, the take away here is that the Bobsweep Ultravision Combo Robot Vacuum and Mop comes highly recommended by me and my family. I wasn’t so sure about quality when I opened the shipping box and grabbed the pop-up plastic handle to pull the retail box out of the shipping box. I hadn’t even started to lift much when both ends of the plastic handle broke off and I was left holding a 6-inch piece of plastic. If the handle had broken with the retail box several feet off the ground, I could’ve damaged my new robot vacuum. Bobsweep needs to take a look again at the plastic used in their handles. Once I had the UltraVision unpacked and plugged in for charging, I followed the instructions on the very good Quick Start Guide and installed the Bobsweep app on my Android phone. The Android phone app was easy to install, and my Bobsweep account was a breeze to set up. The Bobsweep UltraVision robot vacuum cleaner is easy to configure and control through the phone app. Once the UltraVision robot vacuum cleaner was all set up and the robot was docked in its station, we let it fully charge the first day. The second day we turned it loose and let it map the house. That took a couple hours as we expected it would. It seemed to do a pretty good job of that, and we just let it wander and tried to stay out of its way while it mapped the house. I thought it went back to its docking station a little early which made be think it had already run out charge. Then I looked on the phone app and found that it had already mapped the entire house. We live in a 2,100 square-foot home that has all hardwood floors. I was impressed with how quickly and accurately it had mapped our home. After it recharged and I told it to begin vacuuming and mopping the house, I quickly became impressed with how aggressive this vacuum cleaner can be when it comes to objects that it needs to overcome. The drive wheels have some aggressive tread on them which allows it to climb over items that defeated our previous robot vacuum cleaners. We thought we had prepared our house adequately, but the Bobsweep UltraVision constantly got into places where our previous robot vacuum cleaners couldn’t get. This caused us to rethink how we prepared our house for a robot vacuum cleaner. We never trusted our three previous robot vacuum cleaner’s edge or cliff sensors at the top of our basement steps. So, we keep a plastic gate leaning against the doorway at the top of the steps that prevents a robot vacuum cleaner from getting too close to the edge. We have a 9-foot finished basement and that’s a lot of steps for it to fall down. Well, the aggressive Bobsweep UltraVision knocked the gate down several times. So, I decided to take the gate away and trust its edge sensors. It made multiple attempts to leave the hardwood and go tumbling down the basement steps, but its edge sensors always stopped it cold. This is the first robot vacuum cleaner we've been able to trust at the top of the basement steps. It vacuumed and mopped the entire 2,100 square foot main floor really well. We have no carpet in the entire house. Our home has hardwood flooring throughout. The UltraVision has a rotating corner brush on the side of the vacuum cleaner and does a wonderful job cleaning in all the corners where debris collects. Especially in the kitchen where debris gets collected in the corners of the kitchen cabinet’s toe kick. The Bobsweep UltraVision is rated at 25,000 pa (Pascals), a measure of suction power. That is the highest Pascal rating of any robot vacuum cleaner I could find on the market. This little devil can clean. My wife uses decorative polished pebbles in the trays under some of her houseplants. Occasionally, one will find its way to the floor. We’ve never had a robot vacuum cleaner that was able to pick those up before. Well, now we do. The Bobsweep UltraVision sucked up a couple of those pebbles without even trying hard. I like the fact that the Bobsweep UltraVision doesn’t wet the floor too much when it is mopping. The floor dries within a couple minutes after the robot has passed that point. I can recommend this Bobsweep Ultravision Combo Robot Vacuum and Mop to anyone who is looking for a good robot vacuum cleaner.

OK, this is an OK robovac. Over the years, I have had multiple opportunities to test and review several Robovac's from multiple ,anufacturers. End of the day, my experience has been that... Well... They're OK. I can't think of a single robovac that is particulary remarkable or memorable. Most of them are decent at vacuuming, and OK at mapping, but they all do better in static environments. This one is no different. Set up was pretty simple. Out of the box and ready to go, 15, maybe 20 minutes. As expected. Load the app, pretty simple. Operational in 30 minutes or so. Set it loose and wanted to see how it was as a vacuum/. How was it? It was OK. I will say, this one is advertised as a pet specialty, and it was good. Honestly better than mrectangle ost others. We have a small 20 pond dog, and then we have 3 average size cats. They are all short hair, except one of the cat's is a medium hair. After 3 straight days of running tests in a simple, lightly furnished rectangle room, it learned pretty quickly, and did do a good job on the pet hair. BUt then, the real test... We have a relatively large house, with 3 wings and 2800 sqaure feet on th emain level, 1500 square feet with a long hallway, an open office, and 3 beds, 2 baths upstairs. It's a pretty straightforward lay out. In the basement, we have another 1500 square feet that has one bedroom, one bath, and the rest a wide-open area with a pool table, a couple coiuches and a couple recliners. OK, now that we have a the lay-of the land, this vacuum did great upstairs, as long as we kept bedroom doors closed. With the bedroom doors open, not so much. It seemed to get confused (as most vacs do, whe doors are open. As I expected. Moving to the main floor, I'll say it's this robovac, (or any robovacs, really), our priumary level is just not set up for robovac's... We have two steps down to the den, three sectional sofas, and three seperate sets of French doors. This, and really all robos struggled with not only the size, but the complexity. Now lets go down to the finished, but mainly wide open basement and it did great, but given the simplicity of the layout, that is what I expected. End of the day, this operated as expected. A decent robovac FOR THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENTS, but not at all good in larger, more complex environment. If you have the former, probably a decent choice. If you have the latter, this, or most other's are probably not the best.

Robot vacuums previously were new and stunning break through technology that was pricey and didn’t fully get the job done of cleaning the entire footprint of your home. The apps associated with the device were clunky and the iRobot of the tech world cornered the market and took over the industry. However many other companies started getting in on the trend, lowering costs but also adding not only a vacuum but a mop into the devices. This particular vacuum is pretty nice when it comes to having both a vacuum and a mop in one with an easy to use app to map your home and make cleanup easy. It includes everything you need to get started and the app makes it seamless to get going. The base station is similar to other robot vacs the device navigates back to the base and empties but one thing I didn’t love, the mop portion doesn’t have a water container to auto empty into making it odd to not have that as part of the base station, only the vac part. However it did a great job learning my house and cleanup was made easy with simple programming and timers.

The bObsweep - UltraVision Pet Combo Robot Vacuum, 25,000Pa Suction, Spin Mops, 1.5 Gal 180-Day Dock, App and Voice Control, Hi-Res Cam - Gunmetal is a well made robot vacuum combo that features high suction power (25,000Pa) and a large auto-empty dock that can hold debris for up to 180 days.  It is suitable for large homes and especially homes with pets.  It also has a mopping system for hard floors. Our house includes hard flooring (engineered wood) and rugs in the bedrooms.  We also have two large dogs (cream retrievers) that shed lots of hair.  The bObsweep Ultravision Pet Combo Robotic Vacuum was able to handle that with ease.  The bObsweep provides accurate mapping and emphasizes privacy by not recording, storing, or sending images to external servers.  The auto empty dock includes bags that are lined with activated charcoal to prevent pet odors.  In addition to vacuuming, the bObsweep also performs mopping.  However, the dock does not automatically clean the mop pads. In summary, I recommend the the bObsweep robot to anyone with multi-surface floors and with shedding pets.

This is my review of the bObsweep UltraVision Pet Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop. Right off, I was impressed with the secure packaging of the UltraVision and all of its accessories. If box weight is any indication, I’m assuming that the Vacuum is well-made, sturdy, and hopefully will last a long time. After removing all the items from the box, and inventorying the accessories versus what was identified in the well-documented QUICK START GUIDE (“QSG”), I was ready to start assembly and setup. The QSG was one of the better one’s I’ve seen/used for setting up a new product and addressed a majority of the typical setup steps needed for the typical setup and use … GOOD JOB GUYS! Equally as good, is the USER GUIDE that provided a lot of detail with pictures of all the unit’s capabilities and limitations. Finding the best location for the base station was my first problem. I would typically put this type of vacuum in my laundry room – and will probably move it in there at some future date – but can’t now because we have a large breed puppy and since she’s not 100% housebroken, she’s in the laundry room most of the time right now. So, temporarily, I have to put the vacuum/mop base station in an open room adjacent to the kitchen. Luckily, it has travertine like most of my main 1st floor, so water and space aren’t an issue. I did the easy, initial setup of the vacuum/mop so that it could start charging while I prepped other accessories. I easily downloaded the Bobsweep app from the Google Store and got it setup and talking to the vacuum/mop. I got everything setup for suction, cleaning, mapping with some “no go” locations, etc. I found the app to be mostly intuitive but labeling some of the app’s buttons would have been helpful. The vacuuming process with “high suction” set, did a really good cleaning job. My first floor has about 1400sf but I will only regularly vacuum about 1000sf of it. Doing this, the vacuum had to return to the base station one time during cleaning to recharge the battery. During cleaning, I felt the vacuum was relatively quiet. During emptying, it was markedly louder but not intolerable. It didn’t seem to bother my puppy. While I had hoped the mopping would be LIKE traditional, by hand mopping, I was disappointed to learn that it only did “damp mop cleaning” with plain water and it didn’t automatically empty the dirty water reservoir when done. I expected that at the $1300 price point this device with “really do” the cleaning job. There are other vendor’s products on the market at this $1300 price point that DO real cleaning and emptying. So overall, I think the Bobsweep UltraVision Pet Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop system is pretty good and it will save us time on trying to keep the floors vacuumed with a puppy! Mopping has a the few limitations I’ve noted, and “damp mopping” will have to suffice as opposed to really mopping with a cleaner. Price is a bit high with the limitations it has, but I believe the product quality is there and it should last a long time. With this purchase, I am “retiring” a much-older Bobsweep vacuum that I’ve had for 10 years. I would DEFINITELY recommend this vacuum/mop to anyone.

I wanted to love this thing, and honestly I still might if I can adjust my expectations. The vacuuming performance is genuinely impressive. Strong suction, reliable LiDAR navigation, good room mapping. It learns the layout, avoids obstacles reasonably well, and gets into corners better than cheaper robots I've used. For straight vacuuming it earns its price without much argument. The mopping is a different story, and the issues aren't subtle. First, the mop pads don't clean themselves. You have to pull them off manually and wash them by hand after each run. On a machine that sells itself on autonomy, that's a weird omission. It's not the end of the world, but it adds a step that feels out of place given what you're paying. The bigger problem is the water reservoir. It runs out mid-clean, sometimes more than once per session depending on your floor plan. That alone wouldn't be a dealbreaker if the app flagged it, but it doesn't. There's no notification when the water runs dry. You just come back later and find out the robot has been dragging a dry pad across your floors for the last twenty minutes, accomplishing nothing. For a product at this price point, that's a real oversight. The whole pitch is that you set it and forget it. But between refilling the reservoir and washing the pads yourself, the mopping feature requires more hands-on involvement than I expected going in. If vacuuming is your main priority, this machine delivers. The suction, the navigation, the self-empty dock, all of it works well. But if mopping is part of why you're considering it, go in with honest expectations or spend some time comparing alternatives first.
