This printer is an outstanding one for Home office use and just general printing tasks. It’s two sided print capability along with it scanning great features. It’s a great update from My previous brother printer that had become outdated.

Nothing but trouble

Printer constantly refuses to connect to network. Contacted Brother and they finally gave up and said it would not work with 5G network?? Contacted Best Buy tech folks and they eventually got it to work via various software downloads. Worked for a couple of days but same problem has returned. Every other wireless device in our home works flawlessly so not a network problem. Also has a frustrating automatic "Deep Sleep" requirement that requires you to manually wake up the printer every time you wish to print. Will return today. Extremely disappointed

I returned this because the touchscreen was horrible! I homeschool and print stuff a lot!!! I do a ton of double-sided printing and it was not a simple process to get that and didn't have the ability to make a shortcut like my prior brother. I got a different model and it's much better.

Fast scanner. Toner empty too soon.

Pro: Fast auto document feeder.
Con: Toner that came with it only lasted two months! My old bare bone brother lazer printer lasts about a year before replacing. Also, this one did not come with the touch screen like my old one, which made it seem cheap and navigating through the menu is rough.

nice printer but toner did not last long was difficult to connect but ok printer

If you feel you aren't getting the correct yield out of your toner cartridge, consider the following:
1. Is the toner cartridge the starter cartridge that came with the machine or is it a replacement toner cartridge?
If the toner cartridge is the starter cartridge that came with the machine, the start cartridge has a lower amount of toner compared to the standard and high yield replacement cartridges and doesn't yield as high a page count as the replacement toners.
