When my latest in a long line of inkjet printers gave out after a year, I started contemplating switching to laser. I was a little reluctant to give up the option of printing in color, but I realized I hardly ever did anything that requires it. I've had the Brother HL2380DW for about a year now and it's been great. Copying and scanning are a snap, especially with the touch screen controls. Print quality is great, and printing is fast. Wifi makes it easy to print from all the laptops and tablets in the house. (Windows sometimes shows the printer as being offline. Not sure by, but I think it's a Windows problem and not the printer) I love how long the toner lasts. It sure beats having to put new ink cartridges in seemingly every other week. According to the Best Buy salesman, the toner that comes with the printer is kind of a "half" cartridge and won't last as long as either the regular or high yield ones sold in stores. Still, I got almost 650 in my first 4-5 months out of it. It's been about 8-9 months since replaced it with the high yield toner cartridge, and I've printed another 1350 or so pages and it's still half full. I'm not going to complain about that!

I used to have a HL-2280 and this time I bought the HL-2380 after moving. The printer works great and it is very easy to operate.

I bought this printer specifically to print to laser transparency film. I was told by sales people at Best Buy and Office Depot that this printer supports printing to transparencies. They were wrong. When I had trouble getting quality printing to laser transparency film, I contacted Brother who told me that they do not support printing to transparencies. Also, the printer driver does not allow users to adjust the amount of toner used or any other printing quality except "media type" and "size". These limitations mean no bold printing is possible. Brother provides toner that contains wax, so it is impossible to darken the toner with a toner repair solution. I returned this printer because of the poor quality printouts to transparencies and sometimes to paper. The scanner and copier features (which allow modifications to quality) are very good. Unfortunately, the toner output from the printer is substandard.

If you are in the market for a black and white printer, this is the printer for you. The price is cheap, images and print quality are great, and set up is a breeze. Not much else to say. It's a great product.

I almost skipped this printer because of the negative reviews. I was concerned about many of the issues raised. BUT....my experience was different. Took it out of the box, followed the directions to get it working on my home network and started using it right away. No problems. I bought it to replace an HP inkjet color all in one wireless printer that still works just fine, but was driving me nuts with dried up ink cartridges. I am a VERY light user so my cost per page was astronomical because of never getting very many pages printed per cartridges. This inexpensive laser printer will serve me well. I think it actually wakes up and prints faster than the old inkjet. Very happy with my purchase.

Very pleased with this purchase. I didn't need a color printer and you get so many more copies out of this than you do an ink jet printer. It has all the features that i needed and at a good price!

I bought this printer to save money. It started to cost a lot to buy new cartridges for the inkjet printer that I had been using. I did a lot of research and ultimately picked the Brother HL-L2380DW printer. I have owned the printer for about 2 years and it has preformed flawlessly. I have gone through about 2 or 3 toner cartridges, including the starter cartridge while doing light-duty home print jobs. I love the quiet mode and the toner-saver mode.The toner is very cheap! The only two cons are that it takes a minute for it to connect to Wifi and the update-software doesn't work very well. Overall this printer lives up to the Brother slogan: "Reliability and Value."

I felt obligated to write a review for this product because I am so happy with the printer. I had HP's in the past and grew sick and tired of the 5 minute startup an replacing ink ever 2 months. I print things at home maybe once every 2 weeks and every time I would go to use the HP, print quality would be poor or something else would go wrong. With this printer, all the problems are gone! I turn on the printer and in less than 30 seconds it is ready to print. I can print dual side paper and all. Print quality meets all my needs. I strongly recommend this product.

I have to admit my boyfriend set this up, but it seemed pretty easy. I've used it for copying and printing. So far so good. No problems, prints quickly.

I was lucky enough to get it when it was on sale but I would still buy it for the asking price. I was so tired of having to spend money every 2 to 3 weeks on ink for my ink jet. I decided to get a laser printer. My inkjet had a scanner so I needed a scanner and this laser jet has it all. Very easy to set up, prints fast, ink will never dry up or get old, fade resistant, makes copies fast, Laserjet printers are awesome!

Works like a champ, easy to install, and works across a variety of platforms/devices. I like how' it's compact, and after two months' use it's had no performance problems. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the wireless networking often requires that we turn off/on the printer right before we need to print. Not sure why. If I walk in the room, pull up a document on my laptop, and try to print it, it often won't print until I turn the printer off and on again, then all the printouts come. Not a major problem but a minor hassle. Otherwise 5 stars.

I own 4 Brother laser printers and they all are amazing. Excellent value and inexpensive third party toners. I've recommended Brother laser printers to many friends and family members, and they are all very happy with the purchase.

This Printer is awesome! It took less than 20 minutes to take this out of my box, remove the wrapping, and prop it on my table and start using it. I did a few test prints and the speed is amazing. The copier is also amazing. Space dimensions of printer: about 16"x16'. Ethernet port available... I always prefer Ethernet.

I had it for couple years and it works flawlessly. I does the jobs. My 5 stars goes to its durable. I moved (after have it for about a year) and had it sit in the box for 12+ months. I unboxed it without any hope because I think the drum, toner, etc. would gone bad already. Plug in, hear the sound, print test page and ta-da! It still works. I just to to print some pages to clear out the ink dust. If you do not need the crazy speed or super fine scan resolutions or color, this printer is perfect.

This printer is a good printer and a very good price. The print quality is nice and I was very happy with its scan ability. Its size is great as it replaced an older larger laser printer.

My review is summed up in six simple words... Best printer I have ever owned. Without a doubt this is the best. I've been through many, many, MANY printers in my years and this one beats them all by a long shot. You enjoy spending $100 on ink cartridges every few months? No, I don't either. Well, with this printer, I've printed about 2,900 pages and I am STILL using the trial toner. I can't believe how well this printer retains toner. No more ink!!!! IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE! Best darn printer. HIGHLY recommended.

This is my 3rd Brother printer and I think they are great.
