Quality for the price

I bought the printer on sale so the price was fair, I purchased because I had a photo smart printer and the ink would dry up between my printings, I don't print much, which was getting quite expensive every time I needed to print something I had to buy new cartridges. The quality is decent, nothing like an inkjet but again for the price and functions and overall quality it is a good printer! This printer will likely print for a really long time before toner replacement is needed.

Easiest Printer Ever

I have always stuck with Brother Laser Printers because of the low cost of their replacement toners. This was by far the easiest wireless setup for a printer I have ever encountered. It surprised me how simple it was, and how quickly it finished. In the past, wireless setups were always a chore. For the cost of this printer, and what it can do, the value simply can not be matched.

After fighting the ink cartridge printers for years I decided to give Brother Laser a chance. 90% of what we print is B&W anyway and the cost of the ink for the cartridge that may, if you're lucky last a month without clogging, is simply a national scam. So long HP.
There were several negative reviews on this printer related to 'deep sleep', network issues and difficulty of installation but I decided to try one for myself. I found a lower price that BB matched and I came home with a new printer. The printer came packed in a very protective manner and I followed the included easy setup guide. Absolutely no problems at all. Was connected to network wirelessly in minutes and printing a test page. Nice sharp print and very, very fast. It comes out of sleep in mere seconds and in a few seconds more, the page is done.
Two sided printing is a snap as well; perfectly done each time so far. Envelopes? Child's play. Huge paper storage, handles legal and just plain looks good in our office. Scanning is a breeze also using Windows Fax & Scan or the printer's included app. This has got to be one of the best B&W lasers on the market right now. Highly recommended.

this printer just needed to be plugged in and its ready to go. I was looking to stop replacing ink jet cartridges (in what felt like) every time I printed something. This is a good quality, affordable printer.

I had spent much too much money on ink and decided to go back to laser. I have had Brother in the past and always been satisfied. Now is no different. This is a light weight but robust machine. I bought it on sale and not dissappointed. Set up was easy. I do use a desktop computer, but my wife uses a tablet. So I set up a USB cable connection for me (for the fastest speed) and a Wi-fi connection for my wife. Wireless printing is slow but reliable. I have used the scanner only a couple of times, but the software is easy so far. I could have used an automatic feeder, but decided not to spend the extra money because of the few times I need to do multiple pages. This is a large printer, so plan to clear off plenty of space off your desk. But it is worth it. I doubt if I will go back to inkjet unless I decide I cannot do without color. Another downside of inkjet was that I could not print black if the color is used up. We also live in a dry climate so the inkjets clogged easily. No problem with laser. The laser cartridge won't need to be changed for a long time, due to it's large capacity to print hundreds of pages before using up.

I am finally free of having to replace ink cartridges that I don't use!!
Great all-in-one printer for Home use. It's black ink only, which is toner not an ink cartridge. No more issues of not being able to print when cartridges have reached their expiration dates or indicates they are empty when I don't even use the color! How much do you actually need to print in color? I send pics to the nearest drug store or photo shop for about 10 cents each. For the cost to replace the ink and print head on my 2 year old printer, I could have bought almost 2 of these. Prints quick and very good quality. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is I wish it was a little smaller. Otherwise couldn't be happier.

I got this for about 80 bucks. Good price for laser printer with wireless and even has nfc for your phone. Includes scanner as well. Acceptable navigation with the touch on screen display. Set up is much simpler if you set up by connecting printer to a device that is hardwired to your network. Otherwise a little be annoying.

After my 2nd HP inkjet printer in as many years just died, I decided to pay a bit more and get a laser printer. I rarely print in color and we get pictures developed at the drugstore so having black printouts only is not a big deal to me. It connected quickly to my wifi and has functioned great so far. The software works fine and scanning is a breeze, just press the button on the touchscreen and it's done. Toner refills at 2600 pages will save money over buying ink cartridges.

Fast, quiet, would like it to be a little more compact. Apple drivers work great out of the box with airprint, etc. The reason for Four stars vs Five is the fact that the software requires Java to be installed for firmware updates etc... The software / driver pkg is mac os compatible but doesn't feel clean, well written... Printer works great though, easy to use, and has a buil in paper tray which is nice.

Due to ease of installation, use and quality Brother was my first choice for a laser printer. I found this one with also scan and copy ability for a great low price. Once home it was easy to wireless setup the hp laptop, android phone and MacBook pro. Directions were easy to follow and setup was a breeze. Very Very happy with this purchase.

This printer is very easy to access from mobile devices. All five of my family members can easily print documents from ipads , laptops, and cell phones. I was even able to program my personal Google drive account into the printer. There are actually a few memory slots so multiple people can program their Google accounts.
It also prints really quickly.
The only thing is that it's only black and white, but that's not a big deal.

I absolutely recommend this particular laser printer. I have owned an inkjet printer for years, wasted sooo much money on the ink cartridges and got very little results. This laser printer prints all of my pages in a fraction of the time my inkjet took to print 1 page. It was a piece of cake for my 17 year old to set up, took about 5 minutes.

Brother laser printers are the only way to go. I've recommended and installed around 30 or so over the years and they are dependable work horses. This particular model was one of the easiest color printers to set up as it already had the toner cartridges installed. My only gripes are that it doesn't have an Ethernet port and that the touchscreen is difficult to work with without using a stylus (I used a capped marker).

I decided to go laser printer because of inkjet always drying out. I only use it occasionally and decided to go laser because no need to worry about expensive ink replacements and only needed black and white prints. If anyone is looking for a great printer that will last go with this one. Toner is cheap compared to inkjet per page.

My daughter researched laser printers and decided this was the best product and value. It was ridiculously easy to set up (per her text message) and works beautifully with her various Apple devices. With 300 pages to print off weekly, this was a smart investment on her part.

Great for Home use. 5 stars. Black ink(Toner) is inexpensive to replace as compared to inkjet printers. Scanner/Copier feature works great on this new model HL-L2380DW. Purchased a 2nd one for my Parents. Able to print with ease from ipad 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone and HP laptop. Keep all devices on same network.
