We rarely use color ink and wanted a printer that we didn't have to buy color ink.

If I had reviewed this Brother all in one printer previously, I would have said very good things about it. I liked it a lot. But just over 2 years after purchasing, it isn't working correctly anymore. The screen always says "Please wait" and the red "X" is illiuminated every time I power it on. I am still able to print to it, and am able to scan using it if I initiate the scan from my PC, but I am unable to initiate any actions from the printer itself (scan, copy, etc....) So while I am still able to use this printer, there are clearly issues. I am buying another brother MFC to use up my extra toner I already purchased.....but this time I am NOT getting the fancy color screen or electronic buttons.....the version I'm buying now has more manual buttons and only a one or two line b/w LCD screen rather than the touch sensitive color screen this one has.

I like the printer. The fallback is it uses more ink than my Lexmark E 120 did.

We bought this printer as a replacement for an older model that worked fine but had network address issues. We picked this one based on good reviews. However, when using AirPrint, it can be very, very slow to communicate and actually print.

Such a waste of money, the ink TN660 is so expensive , it is not printing 2600 that is a lie, it only does maximally 300 pages and then it asks you to refill another toner, I am very disappointed in that brother and I won’t ever deal with brother printers anymore! Such a drain of money!
