    New Product, old technology

I purchased this product just after release. It is wifi capable but under the specs they don't tell you that it ONLY supports 2.4g, not 5.0g. Even though 5.0g has been around for the past 5-7 years and this is "a new product". If you want to use high speed internet and this printer, you can't. I don't understand why Brother would do this. I found out the hard way after ordering and waiting a week for the product. Now it's back to the drawing board.

I bought two of these for my office. They are both ink hogs, going through expensive cartridges like water. One has an issue on pick up of incoming faxes. It will take one page and cut off. The other flashed a "replace pickup roller" message, and still does, because Brother does not have pick up rollers available for these. Wireless hookup was impossible so both are cabled in to local desktops. I plan to give them away and buy different machines this month. I have had great luck with other Brother equipment, but these things are the red headed step children from a Brother with the bad gene pool. Don't waste your money. You will hate them.

Dear PropertyManager, It's so awful to hear you've experienced these difficulties with these printers; I can certainly imagine how frustrating this must have been. I'm so sorry that you've had a less than seamless experience through this and I assure you this is not at all what we strive for with our customers. It's very unfortunate you've had to spend what sounds like a tremendous amount of time and effort on reaching a resolution with this.

Despite the printers not working well for you, I do hope that in the future you'll allow us the opportunity to make things right and provide you with a more seamless experience, as it should have been from the get-go. If you ever need to reach out to us, please don't hesitate: https://www.brother-usa.com/brother-support Brother

    Horrible printer

I read the reviews because I wanted a good color laser to print photos with. This has the WORST color I have ever seen and I can't correct it. Also the scanning capability is awful - most of the time I can't connect to the printer to scan. It prints text and that is it. What a waste of money.
