I bought this for my 9 year old son for his birthday. His laptop keyboard started to wear and tear and keys started coming off. So, instead of buying a new laptop, this was an unexpected alternative, but he absolutely loved it!. The keyboard came with easy instructions, however, we both cannot find the keys it mentioned to change the backlit colors. I will have to call. This is the only reason, why I rated it as 4 stars. He uses this keyboard to play games and the usb just plugs into the side of his laptop.

This is a great keyboard for the price! RGB colors and all the customizations you can do with them are better than some that cost 3x as much. Tons of extras also including macro keys and media controls, also keys feel good along with layout

Very pretty keyboard. Lights up. Buttons are easy on the fingertips. Easy to set up. No mechanical issues so far. Very easy to install and hook up to the computer. Lights up nicely and is a very cool looking keyboard

The laptop I use for gaming had lost the use of a few key keys, so rather than replace the whole thing, I opted for buying just a new keyboard. I had forgotten how good a mechanical keyboard feels while typing. This keyboard seems sturdy and I expect I'll get a lot of use out of it. I also like the customizable backlighting this model offers.

I got this for my bf as a birthday present and he loves it! Super comfy and detachable wrist rest. The keys are really smooth and quiet and the customizable lights are awesome for gaming! A must have for any pc gamer.

I'm not a gamer, but I've decided to close my laptop and use external monitors, so I also needed an external keyboard. My laptop keyboard is illuminated so I wanted the same for the new keyboard, which sent me in the direction of a gaming model. Works well out of the box, no installation issues, just the usual "getting used to it" routine. Moving from laptop to external keyboard reminded me that I need to keep it slightly to the right of center, because I need to stay centered on the letter key, and let the numeric keypad hang out to the right. Haven't yet tried fancy features beyond playing with the lights.

My backlit laptop keyboard stopped being reliable. I needed a keyboard where i can see read the keys. So backlit keyboard was out. After a lot of research and trial buys i settled on this and has been working like a charm for a year now. Light passes through the keys making it nicely readable in dark, plus many colors to choose for the three different sections. Lots of gaming features which works very well for playing music - the keyboard works like music keyboard - press multiple keys at the same time, many fast presses etc. highly recommend it and best price amongst available in this category.

I bought this specifically for the back lighting and macro keys. I am a hunt and peck typist, i need to see the keys when the room is dark. They work fine the lighting is nice and bright. I also like the window button lockout, also due to hunt and mis-peck, that may be a requirement from not on. The response on the keys are faster than I can type so no complaint there either. I experimented with hitting multiple keys simultaneously, they all registered fine. As a side note Best Buy delivered within 18 hours! packaging was robust around the manufactures box.

Solid keyboard, I only bought it because of the macros keys on the side, which have already been very helpful. Takes a second to figure out the blinking light thing to program them, but once you get it the other keys are easy to program. As far as the RGB backlighting, the single color options are kinda lame, the three colors look to plain and not very bright. I use the rainbow feature, so at least it looks interesting. Also if you do custom colors (which you almost certainly will want to), they lose their memory when you shut off the computer. Another reason to just use the rainbow and call it a day. For a casual user, the RGB is just a bonus. Weird feature that isn't a huge deal if you know a keyboard well, the Shift options on the keys are labeled below the primary function, which can get confusing at first.

So far so good. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Has a place to rest your wrists while using. The light up colors are awesome too.

The Corsair K55 Keyboard is a great option for gaming on a budget. It has a lot of nice RGB lighting effects for the price. No one can argue about the value you get on this keyboard. They corsair software to customize the lighting is very user friendly. I had never used it before but it worked great. One thing I will point out and I assume that people want to know is how the keys click. They have a nice click to them but are in no way to soft or to hard to press. I have had very few problems missing a key when typing on the keyboard. Would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.

The K55 Keyboard seems to be built pretty solid and with the icue app, it is very easy to customize the colors. It is rather quiet keyboard when typing compared to other gaming keyboards. The one complaint is it does not have a memory to save color schemes so you will need to download icue to control the coloration or manually adjust the colors each time you turn your computer on via keyboard. But I have other corsair products so the app download was a no brainer and I knew that getting this keyboard.

This is by far the best gaming keyboard I have purchased. I've spent way to much on expensive gaming keyboards in the past and this one has ran circles around them. The backlighting on the keyboard is a nice addition. I like that you can choose a color. I wish there was a way to choose a color and have it stay until you change it since everytime you turn on the computer it resets to rotate through all the colors. That would be a nice addition if they made any adjustments to it but its awesome the way it is. Honestly, this has lasted much longer than other gaming keyboards as well.

Excellent starter keyboard for the money , keys feels amazing. they are quiet whe typing and colors are great. The palm rest it comes with completes it. Love this keyboard

Great value for your money and it also comes with a detachable arm rest. The RGB is very nice, you can setup the lights to scroll or pulse, you can set how fast they scroll, you can set the colors in 3 different areas individually ( left, middle, and right) you can make it all one color, like all Red or all blue... The keys are not mechanical so don't expect the sharp click of a mechanical keyboard but they don't feel cheap either, I like it better this way because a mechanical keyboard is very noisy.

I love Corsair and there build quality is solid and will last a long time, these Keyboard is big and has backlit keys and everything i need. However the dome membrane keys feel very far to push down as compared to others. For gaming keyboard I would recommend spending a little more and getting a mechanical keyboard, but If $50 is your budget then you Can’t go wrong with this one.

I wanted a wired keyboard but I am not a gamer. This was less expensive and better built than the non-gamer wired keyboards. Now I look like a gamer but I just have a very nice keyboard. I do not know how this performs for a gamer, just that it is good for me.
