My several year old Corsair RM850 was having issues and was time to be replaced. Went to Best Buy to see what they had for 850 PS and this was it. The upgrade is well worth it. The old RM850 was bronze rated, the new RM850x is platinum rated. It is doing a great job and giving plenty of power to my PC with no issues. Powers 3 SSD drives, a regular drive, 2 high end webcams, a Blue Yeti X mic, wired headset, gaming keyboard and mouse, 1070 video card and the rest of the PC including a radiator cooling system with no issues. Also use the PC to keep my phone at full charge. Is always on and have seen no issues so far. Fairly easy to swap out. Very nice cables and as a bonus extra comes with a nice little velcro closure bag for storage of extra cables.

This is currently powering a older i7 that is power hungry! Works just like it should. The cables are much better on this model versus the CM series. Plus its modular!! Cant go wrong with Corsair! Been using their products for years.

I'm quite happy with this PSU in my new monster rig, it has the additional 4 pin power that my newer Motherboard needs and many of the newer power supplies are omitting.
The full modular connections are great for cable management too.

This is more than enough power for my RTX 2070 super GPU. If I ever need to do any over clocking, I'll have enough power to do so. This PSU is fully modular, which helped a ton because I only used the cables that were needed.

Like all corsair PSU's, it's a fantastic device. Very easy to work with and the modular cables are great. Able to power a 3070 in my girlfriends PC with no issue.

I've been running this PSU for a couple of years now and have no problems whatsoever. This is a super high quality unit and the fan is inaudible. It comes with a nice bag/case and a case for the spare cables. Highly recommended.

Great power supply that I purchased so I could use a 2080ti. So far it has been great and has not cause a single issue. Modular and easy to setup, can’t go wrong. Should work with the new 3000 series from Nvidia as well

I needed a much larger power supply to support my new Asus Motherboard, i9 Processor, and RTX 2080 ti Ultra graphics card and this delivers exactly what is needed. Corsair makes amazing products that you can depend on to get the job done every time!

This Corsair Power Supply is one of the best among my power supply units I have been used. The fan is very quiet, it comes with shielded cables for PICE and CPU. This is 80 plus gold, so it saves energy.

The RM750x set the stage for this purchase. My AMD build is rocking that and with these new GPUs recommending 750W PSUs and pulling down 500-600W this is a safe bet for the next few generations! Super quiet as well

I have the following parts in my PC.
CPU - Ryzen 7 3800x @ 4.5Ghz on all cores
RAM - 2x16GB DDR4 3600
Storage - 1 x 256GB WD Black SSD, 1 x 1T Samsung Evo Plus SSD, 1 x 4TB Seagate Baracuda HD
GPU - EVGA 2080 Super XC Ultra
This PSU supplies all the power I need and will be great for when the new PGUs are released at the end of the year. I am going to buy the fastest GPU for VR when the 3080ti and AMD Big Navi cards release. Once I see the benchmarks and know what's the best for VR I will be buying that card.

Power supplies really haven't changed much in the last 10 years, but finally, this is a real game changer.
Pros:
- Completely silent, even under load
- Fully modular-ness makes install/reinstall/removal a breeze
- Fantastic for mini cases
- Ultra short cables
Cons:
- Cables should be all loose, instead of ribbonized for maximum flexibility
- SATA power should have both 90º and 180º options, instead of just 90º
- Should have come with SFX to ATX adapter
In the month I've used it so far, it's been nothing short of amazing.
This, paired with the SG13 was the best machine I've ever built.
Opted to get the Silverstone PP08 adapter for extra ventilation.

Got this for my latest Gaming rig. Its not cheap but if you are spending 1200+ on high end components get something really reliable. Japanese components, 10 year warranty, silent operation. Plenty of power and modular
