A little slower than the more expensive 4 gb SSDs but is usually held back by the drive you're copying from so it's not really worth spending more for little benefit. One note: definitely reformat before use. Speed before reformatting was less than 10% of the after formatting speed.

However, I should have paid more attention to some of the more professional reviews. If you need to transfer large amounts of data, even if comprised of many smaller files, this thing gets SLOW. Anandtech's review stated, "780 MBps for more than 16 minutes, pointing to a SLC cache of around 787 GB" but in real world performance, I wasn't getting anywhere close to those speeds (~10x slower) on a Mac Studio.

Extremely slow writing speed!

I don't recommend it at all. Its very small and portable which i was excited about, but trying to even transfer a few things took almost 3 hours and I i have a long way to go with what I need to do.
