So far so good. Have it hooked up for our big screen TV and cable box. Haven't had a chance to "test" it yet, but comfortable it will do what it is supposed to, as well as provide a short period of continued watching if we take a short power hit or sustain a power outage.

Battery lasted less than 2 yrs, warranty no help

Battery in the unit lasted less than 2 years. The UPS started alarming and I got the E21 Battery Output Short Fault code when I ran the self test. It says it has a 3yr warranty so I reached out to CyberPower support to see what they can do. Unfortunately they said I had to ship the entire unit to them at my cost (which was like $70). I asked if they could just ship me the battery so that I can replace it and they said they need the entire unit. Well I ended up buying new batteries on Amazon for less than $50 and they now work fine. In summary, the original batteries didn't even last 2 years and the warranty is not helpful. I also have an APC UPS and so far its lasting longer.....not sure how good their warranty is.

      Posted .

Hello rchong, sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the detailed notes. E21 = Output Short, which typically points to a downstream device/cord issue or, in some cases, an internal output-stage fault. Installing new batteries can clear the alarm temporarily, but it often doesn’t address the root cause if the short was detected on the UPS output path rather than the battery pack. That’s why our recommendation is to replace the unit to prevent the issue from recurring and to ensure the UPS meets safety/compliance standards after inspection.
Regarding the warranty process, our policy requires the original product to be returned to CyberPower. Once we receive your unit, we’ll ship out a replacement.
We still want to make this as smooth as possible for you. We’ll reach out through your open case to coordinate and process a warranty replacement UPS for you. CyberPower

    Replaced 5-year-old UPS

My main UPS was getting some age on it (5 years, I think), and when we had a power flicker the other night, it dropped like a rock. I could have replaced the batteries for about half of what a new unit would cost, but I'd still be working with a 5-year-old device. I opted to buy a new one.

Great battery back-up. Easy to set up and display is easy to read. To this point I have not lost power so it hasn't kicked on yet but definitely removes some worry associated with expensive electronics during weather.

Well I just installed it after checking it with an O-scope. It is indeed true sine wave and with just my cable modem and router on it (38 watts) it runs for about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Runs very quiet with no heat. Use it for my Mac Sudio and Apple Display. My previous unit was several years old, it worked but wasn't as efficient as this device.

I bought this to protect my main computer. It does just what it should do, sit there and kicks in when power goes out or browns out. I have several CyberPower UPS and I am very pleased with all of them.
