Battery in the unit lasted less than 2 years. The UPS started alarming and I got the E21 Battery Output Short Fault code when I ran the self test. It says it has a 3yr warranty so I reached out to CyberPower support to see what they can do. Unfortunately they said I had to ship the entire unit to them at my cost (which was like $70). I asked if they could just ship me the battery so that I can replace it and they said they need the entire unit. Well I ended up buying new batteries on Amazon for less than $50 and they now work fine. In summary, the original batteries didn't even last 2 years and the warranty is not helpful. I also have an APC UPS and so far its lasting longer.....not sure how good their warranty is.
Hello rchong, sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the detailed notes. E21 = Output Short, which typically points to a downstream device/cord issue or, in some cases, an internal output-stage fault. Installing new batteries can clear the alarm temporarily, but it often doesn’t address the root cause if the short was detected on the UPS output path rather than the battery pack. That’s why our recommendation is to replace the unit to prevent the issue from recurring and to ensure the UPS meets safety/compliance standards after inspection. Regarding the warranty process, our policy requires the original product to be returned to CyberPower. Once we receive your unit, we’ll ship out a replacement. We still want to make this as smooth as possible for you. We’ll reach out through your open case to coordinate and process a warranty replacement UPS for you.

I love my battery backup. Especially using it during storms on when there are outages. All your data is protected and your PC is safe to use when you have no electricity in your home.

Bought this to protect my Oled tv and new pc. Have had this for 2 months and have had no issues. Plenty of plugs on the back. System runs flawlessly with no problems.
Glad to hear the unit meets your needs. Thank you for your review!

I bought two of these for my media closet to provide power to a small Windows server, security cameras, an Xbox, two DirecTV DVRs, a WiFi router and a few other small electrical consumers. I probably could have done with just one! Both are running below 10% load and will provide over an two hours of standby time. One thing I really like about this unit is the ability to us it's built-in screen and menu system to disable the alarm without having to use the computer app.

I got this UPS to power a new PC I had built and wanted something that would protect it well. Its been stormy the last week with a couple of power surges and an outage and this has done great. I haven't experienced any flickers during a surge it kicks in almost instantly.
Another bonus for me was having a Type-C port in the UPS, while it may not be a fast charge it's still perfect to charge phone while working from home or just being around the house. Its fairly small around 1ft x 1ft but don't let it trick you its a heavy little thing too, but well worth the extra money.

After 6 years, my previous CyberPower UPS's logic circuit died and totally shut down and I got this one to replace it. The software is easy and intuitive, and the unit is working well, right out of the box. I mostly buy these for the annoying power fluctuations in my home and the CyberPower 1500VA sine wave backup does a good job of keeping steady power to my computer and monitor. I think my only negative about it is the power button is so bright, but that's easily fixed.

With all the storms here in Florida I now feel safer with my expensive Mac computers. This stays on when electricity goes out, it was a very good investment.

We had a power failure one week after I purchased this unit. I have it installed on my closed circuit camera system. Never missed a second when I checked the recording.

This UPS has really exceeded my expectations. It is my first UPS and it won’t be the last. It truly gives you a peace of mind when you know how many watts you are pulling. Not to mention the safety aspect with power outages. The liability coverage is a big plus even though I pray I never have to use it. I’ll definitely be buying another soon.
