Great unit, much better then apc

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great unit, replaced a apc 1500 unit that wasnt even 6 months old that i took out of service because they are known to catch on fire and have issues... runtime and build quality on the cyberpower is much better, so is the software for a pc, would recommend, happy so far, but time will tell how this one does

Then started giving battery fail light. purchased new batteries to replace (exact same size, voltage, and amperage as original. Also verified all wired correctly connected.) When plugging it back in, the device exploded (loud popping noises, acrid smoke, flashes of light). Opened it up, and several of the transistors had blown. Looking online, this seems to be a common problem with this model. BEWARE!!!!

We only recommend that you purchase the replacement battery pack supported for this product, the RB1290X2 as it is the only pack that is fully supported and warrantied for this unit. In addition, all of our products come with a 3 year warranty, If issues occur during that time please don't hesitate to reach out to us as an early battery failure could be an indication of another issue going on.

It has proved it's merit in recent power blackouts, maintaining power to our internet, WiFi, laptops, and phone systems. During the blackouts, the mute button also welcome.
