My battery backup has been working flawlessly since I bought it.

I haven't had a power outage yet so i haven't really heard the battery kick in yet. It should beep like my old one did. I have a new computer and it feels good to have it protected from power surges, brown outs, and outages.

Its inexpensive and reliable UPS I would recommend. only down side is it does not come pre-charged and have to charge it 8 hours before use

It is heavy but this is the only way if you want a long life battery back up

I really like the size and weight of this unit. It has enough plugins for all of the equipment on my desk. Since it is a surge protector as well as a backup battery, I hope that I do not ever need for it to do what it is designed to do..

This is one of those products that is ready-to-go out of the box; there is, however, an 8 hour full-charge time required before use at maximum electrical load --- in my case, a complete computer system with dual flat-panel screens, printer, surround-sound subsystem, and scanner. The CyberPower 650 has clearly marked terminals for battery backup (6) and power surge-only (6). Compared to my old APC backup unit, CyberPower 650 is light-weight and easy to put into place and make needed connections. It is also smaller in footprint so that not as much space is required as for the APC unit. Cost effectiveness was another consideration; the CyberPower unit's cost was less than or equal to the cost of a replacement battery for the APC unit. All in all, the CyberPower 650 is a definite BUY.
