Our major concern about getting a DashCam was the possibility of it looking "junky" with wires dangling and general untidiness. And despite the myriad testimonies that installation was an "easy one hour job" for the homeowner to do, I really could not conceive that I could accomplish it that quickly or that tidy. So the $100 charge for an installation seemed worth it to me, and I was not disappointed. The finished result looks as good as if it were a factory installed option, but having a ten year old vehicle, Dashcams were not invented in 2014 (I don't think). The rear window has an automatic sunshade that raises and lowers when you shift the car into reverse, and the techs were exacting to make sure the rear camera was not impinged by the trajectory of the shade travel. All told, it was a pleasant experience, quickly accomplished conveniently scheduled within only a few days of making the on-line reservation. And as a Total Tech member (alas only joined a month ago, although the dash cam was received as a holiday gift 10 months ago) I could have had it installed for free.

Install went quick and smooth. Very friendly and went over all the features. Seamless install of both rear and front camera. Even called that they had a cancellation for an earlier appointment.

Was pleased and happy with the installation. Great quality of a dash cam both front and back. Highly recommend it.

First tech accidentally placed dash cam in front too low (back was perfect though) but wiring was good and then I had to get a new windshield on due to a crack so another tech took off the front and replaced correctly on the new windshield a couple days later which was super nice and it works great and no wires hanging all over doesn't look tacky and great price! Also comes with 90-day warranty. Thanks to both techs who helped out they did a great job.

The installer at the Potomac Mills, VA Best Buy who handled my Rexing V1P Flex X4 Dash Cam did not appear to understand how electric vehicles work. Normally, I would complete this type of installation myself, but I assumed the professional installation team at Best Buy would have the necessary experience and parts to do so. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When the vehicle was returned to me, it was in Reduced Power Mode and displayed a Service Vehicle Now alert. When I brought this up to the technician, he casually said I should “take it to the dealership” because my tires probably needed to be rotated. I explained that this was a brand-new vehicle with less than 200 miles, so no maintenance was required. At that point, I began troubleshooting the issue myself, as it was clear the technician wasn’t going to do so. I asked about the fuse placement and discovered he had tapped into Fuse 3, which powers the EV’s Extended Power Module — a critical component for vehicle operation. Once the fuse tap was removed, the vehicle immediately returned to normal. The technician then said he could correct the issue and attempted to hardwire the dash cam, stating he didn’t have Micro3 fuse taps because “they’re rare.” (For reference: this isn’t true. Even my 2015 F-150 and most newer vehicles I’ve seen use Micro2 and Micro3 fuses.) The process took a while, and the technician appeared frustrated trying to find a suitable wire. Initially, everything seemed fine, but at the first red light, the dash cam began shutting down. He had tied into a variable-power wire, causing intermittent power loss — particularly when stopped for extended periods. I contacted Best Buy support to arrange a fix but declined to return to the Potomac Mills location, as they were booked out four weeks. The next available appointment at another location was three weeks out, which is disappointing considering the circumstances. For anyone with an electric vehicle, I strongly recommend avoiding the Potomac Mills Best Buy for installations. The staff does not appear to have the training or proper equipment to safely work on EVs. In preparation for my next appointment, I’ve already ordered the necessary Micro2 and Micro3 fuse taps myself to prevent further wiring issues. I also have serious doubts that the original technician tapped into the correct fuse to enable parking mode for the dash cam. Overall, a very disappointing experience — and I just hope no additional damage was done during the original installation.

This was a great service and I’m totally happy with how it has been working and how well the wires were hidden. No complaints at all :) Would do it again for any and every vehicle I have.

This tv is marvelous. Great picture and audio quality. Best Buy Geek Squad installed and they were the nicest, professional guys. Will definitely always purchase through BestBuy in the future.

I had to take a star because my dash cam was installed on the right side of my rear view mirror, which made it difficult to reach the menu buttons and I have to lean over to see the screen. I would have them move it to the center of the rear view mirror, but shouldn’t have to pay another $109. The installer did an excellent job on the install, just not user friendly where he put it. I have the same make and model car as my daughter and your installer put hers centered of the rear view mirror which is where mine should be.

I forget the gentleman‘s name, but whoever was working on March 11 after 4 PM. He was so kind very patient with me answered all my questions installed it nicely for me did not break anything and kept making sure of how I wanted things installed. Thank you honestly it’s still working great!! (1 month review later) Sorry for the bad picture.

Had VIOFO dash cam front and rear installed. 2024 GMC Terrain AT4. Very pleased with outcome. This was something i wanted to do myself but time and weather delayed it. Happy with the service and ease of this. He took the time before hand to listen to where I wanted placement of equipment. He also had the knowledge to move it to better place during installation when camera focused on the windshield trim. Thank you!

Agents mounted my front and rear dash cams and did an excellent job in reasonable time, I was able to get an appointment the same day due to a cancellation. Definitely would return for service in the future.

I was the first customer of the day the rep treated me with respect and explained the whole situation to me and how long it would take. Because I’m disabled I can’t walk around the store while waiting so the representative offered me a seat where customers can sit so I can be comfortable while waiting. The rep told me the best place for the dash cam and told me where it would be place and reminded me about the micro card and offered me the best card for my dash cam. I have an up to date dash cam so I needed the proper micro card. I really appreciate the rep he helped with everything.

I have a Alfa Romoe Stelvio, and I paid $99 to have dash camera installed with rear park camera. It took 4 hours to complete the job. I noticed my driver's side seat-belt was not operating properly after the install (that is the side they routed the camera through to the back). The button/slider that adjusts the height of the seat-belt was broken by the installer. Check your car prior to leaving. I thought I could snap it back into place, however it appears to have been broken and will need to be replaced. This is dangerous because in an accident the seat-belt may not work properly when needed. It is my belief that the panel that covers the seat-belt and air bag was taken off was not placed back properly. I did not take car back or bring to their attention because I am sure they would deny it. Pictures 1 and 2 are the driver seat-belt (damaged); pictures 3 and 4 are the passenger side--the appearance of both prior to camera install. Cameras appear to be installed properly (hard-wired) and working properly. Thus the rating of 2.

This is my second unit from them i feel safe having to drive knowing i am cover for anything come across. I got geek to install it for me
