I didn't review the specs thoroughly and thought that if a monitor had HDR it would certainly have VESA mounting capabilities as well as a display port. Unfortunately it has neither so i'll be returning it The monitor has great picture quality and the 600 cd/m² of peak brightness blows away my LG monitor I currently have TBH it's my own fault for not reviewing the specs closer before jumping at the low price (got it for under $300). I guess you get what you pay for. If you need flexibility with your screen as far as movement, this monitor is not for you, the stand is very limiting, and the HDMI ports will soon be outdated Hope this helps!

I bought this open boxed and it has met all my expectations. I plug it into my MacBook Pro with an HDMI cable and it just works, even with the Mac closed. If it doesn’t wake up when I hit the keyboard, I’ve found that all I have to do is unplug and replug the HDMI cable on my MacBook and then it comes up. This happens maybe 1 out of 20 times when the computer is in a deep sleep. The resolution and brightness are great, and the screen doesn’t have a lot of glare as a really glossy display might. Very satisfied.

Nice overall design, originally purchased the monitor to be used along with my various Apple MBP's, decided to return the monitor since my older 2011 MBP 17 could only output QHD resolution via native miniDP only, whenever I tried to use a miniDP to HDMI converter cable the laptop would not output at QHD resolution with either MacOS or Windows. Ended up purchasing another Dell Monitor U2518D since it had native DP as well as HDMI input support, that particular monitor also has a height adjustable stand that is much more stable than this particular monitor.

Beautiful colors and very elegant style all wrapped up into one package. This dell monitor offers something for everyone. Whether you are into gaming, web browsing or productivity. I really took the time to evaluate many monitor options from HD to 4K. This is a 2k 1440p monitor and which delivers beautiful graphics performance for You Tube videos or your favorite game. I would highly recommend this one.

I'm enjoying everything about the Dell 27" HDR IPS LED QHD monitor. Color accuracy is very good; which is important to me as a photographer. It's part of my 2-monitor setup (the other of which is also a Dell 27" IPS, but 2 years old). The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I can't raise/lower the monitor. And, on my older Dell 27" I can. I think that's an important feature and a fairly huge "Miss" on Dell's part. I had to lower my 2 year old monitor so it aligns with the new one. Hopefully, they'll bring that back for future monitors. Love the super-thin bezel and everything else about the monitor, just wish I could raise it.

My last purchase was a S2715H 27" IPS HD monitor and have been really happy with it. The S2719DM is a nice upgrade. The first things I appreciated as I unboxed my monitor right away were the thin profile and thin bezel, very sleek. Color accuracy is pretty good out of the box and have used it for photo/video editing, web browsing, word processing and spreadsheets. It does have a slightly warmer color rendition than my 15' Macbook Pro Retina screen, but that can be adjusted in MacOS or in the monitor GUI and got the S2719DM in the ballpark of my MBP screen. The S2719DM display is plenty bright for usage in strong ambient light situations. For my use in my home office, where I have two lamps on at a time, I have the brightness set between 55%-65%. Anything higher than that, my eyes develop strain and fatigue quickly. Sitting about 24" away from the screen, text and images are adequately sharp. Compared to my S2715H, images are sharper and text is crisper. Is it Retina sharp? No, but its QHD resolution is nothing to sneeze at. I generally prefer 4k and Retina displays for maximum screen real estate. But if I had to choose between QHD and FHD resolution, I'll take QHD over FHD any day. A lot of my gamer friends like QHD as the sweet spot for increasing resolution without overtaxing the GPU. If you're looking for a good office use monitor (as long as you don't need swivel function for portrait orientation), this is a great office productivity monitor. This also makes a nice photo and NLE audio/video display. Aside from the limited tilt adjustment of the S2719DM, my other minor gripes about this display is the lack of DisplayPort, VESA mount, and lack of built-in speakers. The omission of speakers seems to be trend these days as manufacturers are favoring thin profiles and bezels. It's a bit disappointing that a monitor at this price point lacks VESA mounts for custom mounting. These are all minor niggles in the scheme of things. Overall this is a nice monitor and would not hesitate recommending this monitor for multi/general use.

The color and resolution are great. I love the wide monitor - it beats a 14" or 15.6" or 17" laptop screen and really beats a 2" screen on a phone. You need this with your desktop or even with a tablet or laptop to get a better view of movies or internet videos. I have always found Dell products to be excellent and a good value - not overpriced like some.

I bought this for video editing at my home office. Looks good with minimal setup. Comfortable to look at for hours of editing. Haven’t had a chance to play any games on it yet. So far very pleased with it.

I purchased this monitor for use with my Apple Mac Mini at the Salesperson's recommendation. I was initially leaning towards a much pricier curved monitor, but I realized that I would just be paying a few hundred dollars more for the curve. This monitor works very well with the Mac Mini and the colors are beautiful. I highly recommend.

I'm a graphic designer and I also have a smallish desk. When I was searching for a monitor I knew it needed to work with a mac and also be thin enough to fit on my desk and also have a great image. This one fit the bill. Definitely recommend. Also, the price wasn't too shabby either.

Quality and value for money are excellent. It is easy to use and I enjoy working with it. Since I had to move to another state, I didn't bring it with me. I'll buy another one when I settle in.

I use this monitor to expand my desktop on a laptop and works great! The picture is so detailed, it is just amazing! Everything works great and it looks great too with a nice silver aluminum back that makes it look way more expensive than it is.

I love it! It is the perfect size and the setting allowed me to customize the monitor to my liking! The only downside is that I cannot adjust the monitor high but it can tilt back and forth as needed. The price I am extremely happy with the product.

I love using this monitor. I got an open-box version of this product, and haven't had any problems. It adds a lot of screen real estate compared to my laptop. I would highly recommend it. The only downside is that the height can't be adjusted.

It's not 4K, but it's very close. I ended up returning it and just buying an IMac with a 5K screen, but I would say that this was a very nice option for someone looking to upgrade their Windows machine.

The image looks great, the build quality is good for the price. The 2k resolution is great for viewing large spreadsheets. The cons would be lack of a vesa mount or height adjustability.

I replaced a 10 year old Dell with this new Dell. The resolution is perfect for the dimensions. Nice and compact for my smaller desk. It is not vertically adjustable, but the height is just right for proper ergonomics.

Truly plug and play. I bought two, replacing two 1920x1080 monitors. Plugged them in and, viola!, superb color and the two monitors matched. It's a good thing I didn't need to recalibrate. The config buttons are hard for me to get to and I couldn't figure out how to change or save settings. No instructions came with them. Also, the first one took control of my audio from my laptop. Imagine my surprise when I started streaming something and got no sound. Moved my external speaker cable to that first monitor and all was well. Really enjoy the extra resolution. I can run my VMs (I typically have 3-5 running at any given time) at 1920 instead of 1440, with room left on-screen for something else. Makes work so much easier. However, since installing these monitors, Windoze (10 Pro) spent a week rebooting every night, reeks all manner of havoc on VMs. When that stopped, whatever was opened on the left-most monitor, over night, ended up on the laptop's monitor (#1). PITA.

This monitor looks excellent for a very good price, but a speaker is lacking which is disappointing for those who don't want to purchase external speakers and use their laptop with the lid closed.
