I’ve now had this new laptop for 6 months. I like all the functions. Battery life has been great. The resolution is the best I’ve had on any laptop. I like the FULLER screen and minor frame. Was a little hesitant about it being more fragile as I tend to move my laptop with me a lot. It’s been nice and the weight is sturdy. I don’t really use the touchscreen but I may use it more as I’m adjusting. Pros Comes with a stylus Resolution A+ Dimensions are perfect Cons Doesn’t have a number pad for a 15.6”, but for $19.99 I grabbed a USB one elsewhere which works good. —— -I find it boots up quickly -Easy to navigate -I went with the 16g/512gb SSD It works for me. I use it primarily for word, excel, photos and some browsing. Not a gamer. -I spent an extra $30 and grabbed a travel case for added protection when traveling. It’s a good laptop for a student or someone that runs a small at home business or just needs to connect to social media and email. DELL is also a reliable brand I trust

The laptop has an amazing display with very sharp images. It is a good balance of size and weight to carry around. The specs on this is very attractive and made me purchase this compare to other brands, it was a little cheaper, so you pay for for what you get. The battery, I believe is 4 cells instead of 6 cells compare to other line of laptop in its league. The USB 3.1 isn’t specify so I looked it up on Dell’s site and found it to be the SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 at 5 Gbit/s and not the Gen 2 at 10 Gbit/s. The USB history jumps to USB 3.2 at 20 Gbit/s (08/2017) and as of today it is USB4 at 40Gbit/s (08/2019). I was not impress with the speakers and the opening of the lid is not friendly/smooth to open like most laptop. The speakers makes a static pop sometimes when i open an app, not sure why. Overall, the laptop does what it suppose to do but not perfect, the spec is only the engine under hood, the OS (Windows 10) that it came with ran smoothly for me without any issues compare to others.

I've been searching for a lightweight laptop for a while that packed a bit of a punch. While this laptop may be heavy to some users, I had no problem bringing it with me to class. As a college student I need something reliable that is fast. The NvME SSD paired with the i7 CPU work very well with each other. After re-configuring Windows 10 to free up some resources, the laptop was extremely fast and handled everything I threw at it. 4K video watching, light 3D modelling, Photoshop, and basic productivity work. I would like to praise Dell for releasing such a well built machine, especially with the Dell Cinema display, the screen is just absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely recommend the 7000 series to my friends.

The positivs -> screen size, memory, SSD size, performance are great. A couple of issues though. Dell, like all other pc manufactures, has limited the number of USB ports to just 2 so in order to connect more than a mouse and a backup drive the purchase of a USB Hub of some sort is needed and there is not really enough room on my portable lap desk for one of those. Also the touch pad is typical of those on most PC's in that it just doesn't work nearly as well as those on an Apple MAC. I have a MAC and its touch pad is sooo much better. That's why there is a need for more built in USB ports. My wife has the same Dell model but it is about 8 months older and it has sufficient USB ports. I should have checked for those of the new PC.

The battery life is horrendous (as I presumed) because of the screen resolution and other high performance. With my hardware warranty expiring this month I am hoping that everything stays the same. However, to that point I did have a "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" the first week of owning. It was resolved by manufacture reset. UGH.. This product is now discontinued because of the 2020 version being released. I will continue to use this laptop to do many things. (Except gaming) *This laptop heats up and suffers in quality because of it! It is a mid-level laptop and for the price it is fair.

I wouldn't pay the price point they are pitching for this machine. picked it up for 830 open box. I'll just get to the point. The Bad - Doesn't always switch over to tablet mode on its own. I have to swivel the screen closed and then open it again. Part of the black bezel on the screen can be pushed in with my finger. Bottom Right Corner. Feels cheap in that aspect. possibly a design flaw or its just the one I have. Overall I am satisfied that it can run most games and demanding games like Rust and Ark on lower settings. it could not however run Blur on max setting. I was hoping since it is an older game. I would love to see how it handles Crysys. Business wise its Great. Packs a big punch and for the hardware inside its a decent weight. Handles heat well. The computer does get hot but keep in mind that max temperature the CPU can get to is 200 Degrees Fahrenheit. I can't say this is a con. I love the fact that I can depend on dells warranty if it doesn't hold up to the defined specs. Bottom Line, pick one up if it's on sale not full price.

This laptop is incredible, it's very fast and his ram memory is great! I had an ASUS laptop before and this Dell is incredibly better! His SDD memory is so fast that I can access my archives so easy! I'm happy that I chose this laptop, I was searching for one a few months ago, but when I read all the configuration of this laptop, I had sure that I needed to choose this one. Thanks for all the reviews that I read about this Laptop! His 4k screen is so vibrant and the sound of the computer is very clear! All that I need in a laptop, I could find in it!

I researched plenty before I ended up purchasing this laptop, and I love it! The 4K allows me to have the best technology for a while, and it was the best deal I could find on the market. Great graphics. Only thing I wish is that 1) there'd be a physical tab on the edge to help open the laptop up, since I have to "pry" it apart to get the screen open, and 2) It ran pretty hot when I had flipped the laptop into the tablet format. I decided to go down a resolution size and not run at 4k since I thought that may be causing it to run hotter and make the fan activate. Other than that, I love the durability, appearance, and performance.

I went into the store thinking I was going to replace my PC with another PC but decided to look at laptops also. The Best Buy sales staff gave me enough information on both and I made my decision to go with a laptop. This Dell laptop seemed to have everything I was looking for. It is great. The more I use it, the more I enjoy it. I am so happy with my decision.

I was looking for a laptop that I could run Adobe apps and edit photos. This laptop was listed at the store for 899$ which was about 400$ off the online price. I couldn't pass on the deal. Has all the specs I wanted. Sleek and durable design. The Major draw back to this Dell is the battery life is very short. I am luck if I get 3 hours in before I must find a place to plug in.

      Bbang,

Thanks for your feedback and we're happy that you're enjoying your new computer. We'd recommend the following tips to help extend the life of your computer's battery:

      Change the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

Had this computer for just about a year now and I love it. It’s a solid machine, and runs plenty of my programs at once. My only issue is the battery life, it seems over the past year that it has diminished quite a bit a I only get around an hour and a half charge out of it. Could also be the constant zoom meetings lately - but overall it’s been a great computer.

I use the computer for school. The computer itself is amazing. The speed is ridiculous and plenty of memory to go around. My only complaint was it was an open box so it didn’t come with cords or the dell stylus. The other issue is somehow after it was returned my windows was no longer active but I’m hoping this is just a minor detail and can be fixed easily with proof of purchase. Overall great computer for the price.

Very pleased with the performance/speed, sharp and bright display, touch screen that is not overly sensitive when using the included PEN. I consider it a great laptop/2-in-1 computer for the price. Only down side is it is very smooth case, so it easily slips out of your hand. Needs some type of grip material on the bottom to help with that. Bought some on amazon.com, worked great so solved that issue. I would buy this again if I were in need of another.

The quality is very good for the price and it's great for an all around 15.6" laptop. Thin enough to travel. Works well with Lightroom and Photoshop without spending $1,000 more for a MacBook Pro with same specs. Cons: I had to reduce the resolution from 4K to 1920x1080 and turn off the processor accelerator in the BIOS to stop the fan from running constantly and keep the temperature to a bearable level. Disappointing because I didn't figure it out until after 15 days and couldn't exchange. Store Manager said to call Dell. They couldn't correct the issue either so I'll have to live with it now.

Fantastic machine. Very fast and the 4k screen is amazing. Finger print scanner works like a champ and the stylus is very precise. Take time setting up and write down any passwords or security answers or you will have to hard reset the laptop. Once she got everything squared away, she can't shut up about it. On a plus side it's cheaper than a new car...lol

My husband wanted a Dell computer with a bigger screen as he has used Dell for about 4 years now. This was an updated version of a computer he already had and he loves it; it works well, very quick to open up clunky computer programs (he is getting a PhD in Political Research so he regularly uses SPSS and NVivo for content analysis which the computer handles well), and the screen resolution is perfect. Overall, he is very happy with the computer.

bought this laptop for everyday use. After tinkering with it for about 3 weeks, I could happily say that it fits my criteria for a great laptop. The 2 in 1 design is handy and cool. Touch screen is very responsive and ultra clear. 4k display is a cool bonus. Something to keep in mind though is that it's battery life is only about 4 hours, due to the 4k display. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the product
