Awesome product. Super easy to install and works like a charm. Love the hot/cold zone remote detector. We keep it in our kids room which doesn’t get adequate air flow to try and make their room more comfortable. Great product.

Just the mere fact that this can display the current temp vs Nest E's lack of farsight is already a huge plus. While it does require a c-wire, there is a PEK that comes with the unit so you can set it up that way. Using the c-wire is better in the long run for your HVAC unit so it doesn't wear it out as fast. The app is essentially the exact same thing as the unit itself (minus a couple of settings), and you can adjust from the web as well. Native Alexa integration, and if you want to utilize with Google Home, create a free Wink account, link it to your ecobee3 lite 2.0, and then link your Wink account to Google. You don't even need the hub! As for scheduling and learning, I don't have the external room sensors (my house is small) but we do pass by the thermostat very frequently, and it's got a good sense of when we're home and when we're not. You can also create manual schedules and it follows it pretty religiously. Overall, great piece of tech for the price, and can be had cheaper with possible rebates with your energy provider!

Amazing thermostat. I switched from two Google Nest thermostats to two ecobee in a effort to ban Google from my home. The real reason was the Nest bringing my furnace into a fault state usually at 10pm and leaving me in the cold next morning. Having the furnace in the attic required me to do early morning climbs regularly. Also the Nests had issues to evenly heat the upstairs and the downstairs zones. The ecobee is doing a better job here. My heating system is far less active and temperature is now great in all rooms. They also integrate flawlessly with Apple HomeKit and not compete with like the Nests.no more wheel turn, just tell Siri what you want - or use the ecobee. It’s nice!

Now you don’t have to walk to set your thermostat. Just Do it on your phone. Have Siri or Alexa so it for you. You can also schedule when to keep your place cool or warm. They support was really helpful too. It looks cool and clean. Love this product.

I bough this after mistakenly buying a nest (not compatible with many HVACs). The installation, instructions, functionally, and the app could not be more user-friendly and simple to use and follow. This also works with most units. Buy this and skip NEST

I have the Ecobee3 Lite downstairs in the more or less open floorplan public areas, and the Ecobee4 upstairs. Frankly, I like the features of the 4 better, at least in its application - I can put sensors in the bedrooms and have the occupied rooms given priority in terms of comfort. That said, the 3 is a great set of features, and works well for our purposes. If I wanted to do so, I could add sensors to it, but the base unit doesn't have a sensor so doesn't detect the geofencing home/away status. It's terrific for the money, and gives me good information. Unlike the programmable units these replaced, there is no battery for storage of configuration. You need good wireless network coverage to permit communication with the Ecobee servers, and a network outage puts them in a less robust mode. But since these are intended as a "Smart Home" adjunct, wireless is assumed. Important note from a certified wireless engineer - be sure you have good coverage. It's best not to plan for a single wireless router/access point to cover more than about 1500 square feet unless you have a very open floorplan. I get about 600 square feet each in the upstairs bedroom level of our home, with good coverage. If you have an Android device, you can download Aruba Utilities from Aruba Networks (enterprise wireless vendor) at no charge to check your signal levels. It works with any WiFi, so you don't have to be running commercial grade gear.

After it was installed, it was easy to set-up over the WiFi. I have been able to check & change the temperature setting of my house from out of town. It works great. It even sends me messages about the auxiliary heat running too long.I have had it for a month and think it works great.

Great addition. Bought to use in the garage with heater. Pairs great with the Ecobee thermostat already in the home. One place to look at both thermostats in the app.

I purchased two ecobee3 lite thermostats to replace my 11 year thermostats that the home builder installed. The old ones were in perfect working condition, but I desired a more modern approach to HVAC controllability. My situation does not require all the available bells and whistles, so the ecobee3 lite turned out to be the right choice. Super simple to install and setup, the entire implementation for both thermostats was about 20 minutes. I can control with my iPhone or Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa), as well as at the thermostat. Research options for various models based on your individual needs and if your requirements fall on the simpler side, you will be happy with this product.

Easy to install if prior thermostat has a three wire connection and low voltage wire capability. Internet connection provides convenience in setting and maintaining temperature settings.

This is my second one of these (I have 4 zones), and it’s just as great as my first one. They are easy enough to use, and I love being able to access via the app. I don’t need “learning” because I prefer to have a set schedule, so these work well for that.

The ecobee smart thermostat is great and works as expected. It adjust the temperature as necessary to keep the house at a temperature that's just right. Installation is easy as well. I would recommend this product.

Flawless from installation to operation. Once it's set up, it's just on cruise control. The installation instruction is clear, and I have set up 2 on my 2 floors. The setup can be done on the device or on the app.

In multiple houses I have purchased the ecobee3 lite and only one gave me an issue and lasted only 7 months... He could be honored to warranty and the product works well. There was a period of a month where the app kept crashing and losing connection non-stop but they have fixed that issue since

Love my ecobee. Replaced my nest with the ecobee. It has much better controls over the settings and allows you to “hold” the thermostat which Nest does not. Easy to install and they include everything you need. Looks great.

By far the best thermostat i've ever owned. Installation is easy. Comes with wire identification tags to make installing this thing a breeze! Comes with wall plate for oversized holes. I installed without the plate and the ecobee looks stylish and sleek on the wall.

Super clean looking and works great! Super easy for diy install. Instructions are step by step literally from use a screwdriver to rewiring if you have too. I didnt gave to but cool to see they were that detailed!

Bought it for a friend, who is a quadriplegic, so he can work the thermostat. Paired with alexa. He loves it. Didn't have to rely on anyone to change it. Once in awhile there's a glitch on the server so have to manual the thermostat. Normal last bout 10 min.

Bought two of these because they work with HomeKit. Replaced two Nest thermostats. I had them professionally installed, and it took the HVAC guy about twenty minutes to remove the Nest and install this one. Setup took about another fifteen minutes because I had to create an account and register them. The second one had a bit of an issue where I couldn't add it to HomeKit. Half an hour on with Ecobee tech support (available late at night which was awesome) and a factory reset cleared the problem right up. Much simpler and easier to use. I was able to opt out of the learning aspect of it, and use the minimum features. Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend.
