Smart thermostat

It was SUPER easy to install with online and in print step by step instructions. It only took me 30 min to do this. The setup was very easy also. This product was less expensive than the Nest which I also looked at and other reviews said it was more reliable. I believe them.

Easy Install

No problems from Best Buy with match. The instructions are set up, yet conclusive. I did have to call support about a question, they picked up immediately and we're very helpful. The unit is small, even smaller than I expected. Design is nice. Interface attractive and simple. Really, one of only two thermostats that you should consider.

The instructions regarding the C wire replacement kit were very easy to follow. Really enjoy scheduling the temperature based on specific sensors placed around the house. And the online tools provide some good historical data.

Ecobee is the smart thermostat.

We've had many other thermostats, some costing a lot more. Price was reasonable. Easy to install and the app is easy to use. Control from your phone is as simple as from the unit itself. Tech support is excellent. They go out of their way to make it easy. Highly recommended.

A bit of a challenge to install, but well worth it

Install can be a challenge, depending on the age of your current system and how it was installed. That being said, their support is outstanding and is what really makes the product superb all around.

One thing I wish it would allow would be to set up a "scene" so that I can press "the button" in the app and the temps would all be set to what I want them to be at (for example bedtime). Probably just an ecobee app "issue" but right now it seems that if I set it up ALL thermometers seem to go to the same temp and I don't want that. I want them to go to a programmed temp for bedtime, each with their own temp setting. Seems like an easy fix in the app. Other than that, easy setup etc and am happy with the purchase.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It took me about 35 minutes from opening the package to having this bad boy installed, and that's even having to take the extra step of installing the extra wiring on the furnace because I didn't have a C wire. I love how much you can customize your settings-- I bought it mid Spring when I'd need to cool the house during the day and heat at night. It works perfectly, and my home is always comfortable.

Great overall

Operating it by hand is also fairly easy, but i found it easier to use with the home app. Installation is very easy as long as you have the proper cables and tools. I wish the screen was a little bigger and maybe had some color to it, but I guess it’s good enough for a thermostat.
