Had 2 nest thermostats for about 4 years. Was continuously adjusting the temp everytime i entered a room. The final straw was nest/google changing the log in method, thus disabling control from vera hubs. Upgraded to this ecobee, and added remote sensors. It is working great. It knows when i am in a room, and activates the a/c if needed. integration to automation hub vera was easy, and inclusion with alexa is no problem. I am glad i made the switch.

Easy installation/ very seamless Clean look and efficient

This is my first smart thermostat. I was nervous about setting this up myself but the instructions were very easy to follow in addition to the help videos. I am also life-long Apple user, and appreciate how well it works with Homekit. It was a major selling point for me. I couldn't be more pleased with this product! It's a Best Buy!

Very satisfied with our new thermostat. A little bit of a learning curve for programming, but many very nice features. Also looks very nice on the wall.

The thermostat took about 30 minutes to install. I watched a YouTube video first and then followed the directions. The thermostat works great and is a huge improvement over our 13 year old one. It is programmable for different days of the week , vacation mode, and preferences. Love that I can use the app and make simple changes from there.

Considered switching to a smart thermostat for sometime. Really liked the ecobee's option for remote sensors. Absolutely love it. Very easy to install. So simple to switch between away, home and sleep modes with each mode using different sensors for its primary readings. Also love the logging of what equipment is running when and the options to adjust equipment settings.

The ECO thermostat locked up during setup so I had to reboot it and enter setup on the app to complete settings, but it’s been working flawlessly for about 6 weeks. I like the online reports to track HVAC usage. Nice user friendly app.

I was reluctant and was choosing between this and the Nest. I'm glad i got this one though. The touch screen is so easy to use and a much bigger display than the Nest. Although after setting it you will hardly need to use it again except for occasionally the temporary adjustments. Easy installation also with easy to follow instructions. Highly Recommend

This is the second one of this model that I have purchased. I have had the first one for approximately a year. I LOVE it for my Airbnb rental. I can program the thermostat PLUS offer the guest the ability to turn it up or down within my pre-defined range. I use this in conjunction with the Ecobee sensors so that the temperature of the entire home can be adjusted based on the desired temperature within specific bedrooms AND the sensor knows if the bedroom is being used or not. So for example if bedroom 1 is occupied but bedroom 2 is vacant, the thermostat will leave the AC or heat on long enough to hit the desired temperature defined for bedroom 1. Because the two bedrooms heat and cool differently, meaning if bedroom is for example 82 degrees, bedroom 2 might be three or four degrees hotter or colder. If bedroom 2 is not occupied then this is obviously not a problem and the thermostat just hits the target temp for the occupied bedroom. If instead bedroom 2 is also occupied then the thermostat will hit the temperature that I have programmed for that scenario. I also have a third generation Nest and I find the Ecobee superior for Airbnb.

Setup was a breeze. I love how well it integrates with the Apple home app. Also, the auto setting is great for times like right now where it’s cold in the night and warm during the day- the ecobee can automatically shift between heating and cooling to keep the temp in my desired range.

I love this thermostat for several different reasons. The first and most important is I gain control of the thermostat in my home while I am at work. My kids love to bump the air down that when I come home from work it is freezing in my house. I love controlling the air when I am not home. I also really like the thermostat display. It looks so much better and "techy" than my original thermostat. I love that it displays the temperature outside. Now, I am a single female and I have to call a handy-man for everything in my home. I have a brand new house that I installed this thermostat all by myself. So, yes it can be done. But don't believe the reviews that say it can be installed in 15 minutes. Maybe if you are an electrician, yes you can probably install it in 15 minutes. However, it took me several hours to install it. But it was well worth it. I eventually had to call Ecobee's customer service for help. Basically, the wiring that I set up was a little off I took a pic of and emailed to them. They looked at it and told me which wire I had in incorrectly. Now, there was also a second override that had to be completed as well before system would work. My suggestion for installation, call first and get help before spending too long on the installation if you can not get it up and running . Glad I purchased it. I really do love it.

Went in for a printer walked out with this ecobee3 lite thermostat. Pretty impressed so far (have only had this less than a month at the time of review) but I'm really looking forward to how it performs when the summer gets here in Texas. Fairly easy install even though we are in an older home and I needed to wire the power-pack that comes with the unit. Now to think about a few remote sensors to place in other rooms for even better temperature control.

Got this for my girlfriend for her birthday. She is always asking me to change the thermostat. Now she never has to ask me! I ask her to change it :) Also it has saved us a noticeable amount of money on our power bill already. Please note you might need to have this professionally installed.
