Installation is easier than expected because of the included PEK module if there isn't a C-wire in an existing thermostat. The instructions are easy to understand for installation. Device setup is easy and straightforward. The ecobee app is useful for monitoring when away from home.

So far, so good. Replacing an Emerson that was thought to be bad. I actually like this unit better. I've had Nest previously as well and I think the ecobee is just a little better option, easier user interface and not throwing useless options in for no reason.

Not only can I control the thermostat with my phone, but also with Google Home. As long as you have a "C" wire it's super easy to install, and the schedules are straight forward and simple to use. But the best is asking Google what the thermostat (either upstairs or downstairs) is set to and then having it adjust the temp with the sound of my voice.

Helps me save on my bills. I can even set the thermostat to away from anywhere with the app which is a great feature since I’m often in the run. It even gives me helpful reminders for services needed. There’s no thinking or calculating. Ecobee does it all for me.

The install is simple if your old thermostat wiring had a common wire. The common wire is needed to supply power to the device. There are clear instructions and an adapter to supply a common wire if needed. The adapter is installed at the heater (or heat-pump, or air conditioner end) of the wiring. If your old thermostat does not have 4 wires, you will need to pull a new thermostat cable.

Ordered and received promptly. Has been installed and works just great. Nice to be able to control the temperature remotely because there are many times when I leave the house and intent to lower the thermostat before I leave and forget. It definitely is a money saver.

Ecobee 3 Smart Thermostat works beautifully. Based on the reviews I read, it consistently rated either #1 or a close second to the higher priced Nest. The price of the Ecobee3 lite is significantly less than Nest and both have similar bells and whistles. This together with the glowing Ecobee reviews made my purchase decision a no brainier.

Very easy to install. I was replacing a 3-M Radio Stat which has been discontinued. The wires matched perfectly and I like the larger viewing screen.

The ECO thermostat locked up during setup so I had to reboot it and enter setup on the app to complete settings, but it’s been working flawlessly for about 6 weeks. I like the online reports to track HVAC usage. Nice user friendly app.

I find this easier to setup and customize compared to nest. Just make sure you go through the advance settings if you have a heat pump to fine tune when you want your auxiliary heat to come on. Sensors really make this more functional and Home IQ stats can show your usage and help you adjust tempature to save a little money.

Easy to use and looks great on wall. I like the weather display on standby screen too. Especially if you get a rebate from your electric utility, makes it a great deal. Pick nest or this one depending on your aesthetic preference, both work well.

I like to look deep into things before I buy them, so I knew what I was getting from the start. This thing is awesome! I have it set up so when the last family member, either my wife or I, leaves the house within a 2 mile radius, the thermostat will drop and maintain a lower temp until one of us comes back into that bubble.

Super easy to install. I am the farthest thing from an electrician and I was able to install the thermostat just by following the instructions included. I love being able to use my homepods and the app to control and monitor the temperature of my home

I switched from a Nest to two Ecobees when we moved. The set-up was a little more involved because my system didn't have a C wire, but installing the power extender kit was very simple and both units were up and running is about 20 minutes. The initial set-up of the thermostat itself was more in-depth that the Nest, but I do like that this unit has the ability to schedule each day and you can even set-up you vacation schedules in advance.

I looked at a number of different options for a smart thermostat and settled on the ecobee for my needs. I don’t need the ‘learning’ feature of the Nest but wanted more control than some of the cheaper WiFi thermostats. It works great with my Samsung Smartthings hub and Alexa. I may pick up another one for my other zone soon.
