I bought this over others because at the time I liked the idea of room sensors. I can run heat/ac less because rooms tend to heat/cool quicker. We also like to ensure at bedtime the master is at a perfect sleeping temperature.

Easy set up, Love having all the smart features that the old one lacked.

No issues with the devices and simple setup. Given 15-30 mins and and the proper screw driver, this is DIY. The setup is seamless and rather simple. Getting the settings correct will take some time but it’s nice once you get them settled.

Very simple to install, great instructions included, works just like advertised. This is my second one in the house. I use the Ecobee app with lets you control everything, tons of settings. Also integrates into Samsung Smart Things.

excelent little thermostat. works great by itself, however I could not make it obey my smartthings hub. schedule would always win in the end and turn on the AC when we were not even home.

Ecobee is the way to go. we had a nest and it did not integrate with the Xfinity app, also was not as detailed and slick! highly recommend, easy to install.

Best device if you are looking to have your smart home in the HomeKit platform. Also great performance and my electricity bill goes down even more that when I had the Nest thermostat

extremely easy to install. the wiring diagrams allow for easy install for someone who has no experience wiring such devices. sets up and pairs effortlessly with the app which is easy to use as well.

Works great with my heat pump systems. I have two systems , one for each floor. I’m in the low country of SC. There are no network connection issues and the App for iOS is feature rich. I really don’t use any of the scheduling or smart features including voice control, although they appear robust. One can adjust the “lapse” rate or temp sensitivity. This was important for my setup., and when I purchased not all products had the capabilities needed. The systems are wired differently and no problem installing the thermostats. Customer support is excellent. You can even email a photo of your existing thermostat with the cover off to the support group which really simplifies the process

Its a great little device - not much difference between this and the nest. Easy to install, but you must know your system for configuration purposes. Support for this product is awesome, you can chat with them and send pictures of your wired system and they can help you out!

Great unit, easy setup, two mount options so worked well. Programming via app is easy as is on the unit itself. Looks good on the wall and qualified for a SDG&E energy instant discount of 50.00! JACKPOT. Love the in / out temp as I walk by the unit.

I have this at my home, and I bought this one for my mom. The instructions were clear and install was really pretty simple. She can control it with Alexa and it manages her comfort and efficiency quite nicely.

A major upgrade for our home; easy to work with, and it's nice to have the app. No complaints so far, and we've had it for over a month now.

This thermostat is very easy to install and setup. It's also great that it includes a c-wire adapter for older houses. I linked it to my Google home with zero issues.

I love this thing. It looks good, and has a nice interface to adjust the temperature. But the best part is being able to mumble to Alexa to change the temperate while you are half asleep in bed!

I have purchased a few of these over the years and ecobee is a great option no matter your smart home platform of choice. Easy to install with great live support.

I installed the Ecobee3 in a second home that we rent weekends or weekly. It is located about 175 miles from my permanent residence. If a guest forgets to turn the thermostat back up, once they leave, I can set it from my phone. I can lower it in time for the next guest to come into a comfortable condo. So far, it has worked beautifully. Installation was a bit tricky as the manual diagrams did not match up exactly to make the thermostat work properly. The Ecobee customer service walked me through a couple of wire connection changes. We got it to work. They were very helpful and friendly. Great customer support. Aside from that glitch, installation was quick and easy. Now my wife wants me to install one in our home. Check with your local electric supplier for possible rebates.

I've owned both and I like the ecobee better than the Nest thermostat. It was a bit difficult to install (hired someone to do it) but since up and running, it works wonderfully with no thought or effort.
