Bought this for our new build. We had 2 in our previous home and loved them. Easy to use and compatible with Control 4 and other smart devices.

Enjoying this product so far, setup was not too bad

This thermostat works as advertised, but I think I prefer the Nest, as it is easier to adjust manually. The Ecobee does not have an intuitive way to adjust the target temperature from the actual device, whereas the Nest has a nice nob that you just turn and viola, it works. The nest gives you a range, and good luck making sense of how to adjust it. It is not instinctive at all. I hope they issue an update where I can type in a target number, or move a dial to a target number, but as it stands, it is not an intuitive system at all. Given that this is in my mothers house, and she is not a tech person, a traditional thermostat with up/down buttons would have likely been easier for her to use than the Ecobee. Again, it does function, and does allow Alexa to control it (but even that needs refinement, as Alexa requires you to remember what you called the each thermostat and does not give you and option to add multiple nicknames to a thermostat, making you always wonder "did I call name the thermostat Main floor, or main level, or first floor" when asking Alexa to adjust the temp...by the time you figure that out, you could have manually walked over to a Nest (or other manual thermostat) and adjusted it (the Ecobee will take another PhD to figure out how to set a target temperature - so don't even try to set it manually)

This thermostat is the best value for the money. 100 times easier to program and adjust temp from the device itself compared to Nest. 90% of homes dont have dampers for zone control so Ecobee 4 is a waste of money. Very good design and looks..

Replaced my old style thermostat, added the extra room sensors,was easy to install following the installation directions, works nicely. ,

We decided to go with this model despite it not coming with the zone accessory. Love using the app. I can adjust the temperature from my bed. ( We have a two story house and I have bad knees) Would definitely recommend.

This is my third Ecobee thermostat! I love this device and the control and statistics the website provides. Setup is easy, great customer support, and being able to control the thermostat from my phone is a must have in todays digital age.

Super easy to use. Love that you can control it from your phone. I have experienced that it does save electricity especially when you’re away from home with geofencing.

The Ecobee3 Lite was easy to install (we installed 3!) and we love it! The controller setting allow me to adjust the temp from my phone and we can have the system OFF when we are away, it’s so easy!

So far it has worked great. Haven't seen any savings so far on the electric bill, but it is summer in So. California. Love the ease of the adjusting the thermostat from anywhere I am and being able to always see what it is set at when I'm not at home. Was easy to install and set up.

I was worried I’d have trouble because I have an older furnace. But their instructions are easy to follow. Converting my 4 wire to a 5 was simple. Looks great and works well with my iPhone. Actually gonna be a second for my garage heater.

The first thermostat would not work with my cottages system. Best Buys Geek Squad was kind enough to take the time to look for other options that would be a better fit. This one is supposed to work. I will find out next Tuesday!

Easy install, enjoying the convenience of operating it from my phone. The other features are great too, I can schedule temperatures to fit my routine.

Excellent thermostat. Works seamlessly with Alexa and my smart home setup. iPhone app allows easy access when away from home. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new thermostat. Only downside is that if your house isn’t wired appropriately you can run into issues when installing and may need an electrician.

I bought this to replace an older honeywell touchscreen thermostat. The Ecobee has a much nicer and simpler UI. The background is black and everything on the device is easy to setup, especially the schedule. Honeywell's schedule was super detailed but I honestly didn't need it. Ecobee just needs to know when I'm awake, when I'm asleep and when i'm not home. From there it adjusts to save you money on your electricity bill. The app is just as simple to use and you can connect it to Smartthings to control it with Google Home or Alexa. There's a motion sensor so that when you get close to it, it will display usefull information like the weather. Overall, this is a good replacement and I can definitely see how they're competing against Nest's products. They do just about the same for much less in price.

This thermostat allows you to control your ac/heating system with their app from your phone or tablet. You can change the temperature before you arrive home so that you are comfortable when you arrive.

This thermostat will really surprise you on how good it works. Some people complain about the app needing updated. I think it’s great it’s an exact replica of the thermostat so it’s very user friendly. No issues here...

This is our second Ecobee. I bought this one for our lake house, which is about an hour away from our primary residence, wher we have our first Ecobee installed. Our HVAC contractor installed it for us at the lake house when we replaced the AC. Why I love it is we can monitor for potential problems. This AC had to be replaced because we discovered upon arriving that the house was 82 degrees although the old thermostat was set at 78. It was one hot weekend. Our Ecobee allows us to monitor for future issues and let us adjust it before we arrive for the weekend.we just bought a condo and once the WiFi is setup, we will buy another Ecobee.

I’ve had this thermostat for a year and a half now and it’s great. No point in spending $100 more on fancier ones. This is all you need.
