    I bought this as a gift to my parents that travel alot in the winter. They can set it on vacation mode and put the duration of their trip in it when they leave. Without even going on the app on their phone the house is warm when they get back. Great thermostat. I wish i bought this over the nest ones i have in my house.

    While the nest is a good smart thermometer, this is just better. Works with more systems and comes with a PKE, better controls, and has the ability to use optional sensors. Create a free Wink account and pair it with your Google Home (already works with Alexa). Can't beat it for the price (check your local power supplier to see if there's a rebate, I got $50 back)!

    I was able to get this on sale and then got my rebates from DTE and Consumers for upgrading. This should be a top consideration of upgrading to a smart thermostat. I prefer this over the nest that I had installed for a family member previously.
