One of the best smart thermostats ever, I love Ecobee, for me it's better than the Nest, it's just my preference

I have loved this thermostat for months now. Until they decided to launch Eco+ which effectively gives your power company the right to control your thermostat to THEIR liking. They might delay your AC turning on for an hour in Arizona in the middle of summer, they may turn off your AC and just run your fan to save energy during peak demand. I can’t imagine if Toyota said, naw you can’t drive your car during rush hour... it’s too busy... This is my device, I can do what I want with the power I consume. Especially in Arizona in the freaking summer! You’ll have to wait for around an hour on hold to ecobee customer service to get unenrolled too. Because two giant accounting companies have to approve it (ecobee and my utility company) Very disappointed that ecobee would rather side with ridiculous power companies and take their money, than be loyal to me. Since I can choose my thermostat, but not my power company.

I originally purchased the nest but was disappointed by the Nests lack of control and data. I like to get hands on with the details and ecobee allowed me to do just that with it’s graphs and downloadable data. Overall the thermostat has been working really well and I love how it’s compatible with Siri and Alexa.

Fantastic, it works very well and saves a lot of energy. I recommend it 100%.

I love my ecobee3 Lite smart thermostat as I'm able to control it with my voice whenever I need to deviate from the schedule that I have free set for morning and evening times as well as the times when I'm away from home. This is an excellent purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a smart thermostat.

I will say that it took me a couple of hours to figure out the installation, only because I blew the fuse inside the AC unit. Once I figured this out (swapped it out to a new mini ATC style) it fired up like a charm. I wish it was a little more customizable and learned but overall it does what I wanted. The sensor inside the unit seems to be on the colder side by a degree or two. I haven't tried to hook up additional sensors.

this was a replacement for a competitor model as the other nearly broke our HVAC system; we've had it only for about 2 weeks and so far so good; very intuitive - I do recommend the sensors (we have 2 so far) and it literally adjust temps in rooms where it is occupied and not occupied; very happy with the unit as well as the support

It does what it is supposed to do. The dragging to change the temperature isn’t the easiest to use but overall I like it.

I bought this device when I was thinking about replacing my Nest because I wanted HomeKit support, but after using it I really preferred the design of Nest with the rotary knob style vs. using the touchscreen all the time to slide the temperature up and down. That is just a personal preference though. The device itself worked good, but since I liked the Nest better I returned it.

This thermostat is the best one I have had. I switched from the Nest because the wifi chip in the Nest kept giving incorrect temperature readings (so we would freeze in the winter and the AC would constantly run in the summer). The Ecobee sensors may be a bit pricey but well worth it to balance out the temperature in the house.

Really easy to use and change the temperature with Alexa.
