They are very unreliable especially during peak hours of hvac usages. They don't care about customer and would give lame answers. In short their infrastructure isn't capable of supporting peak time usages.

Because it didn’t have a electrical wire to power it.

Had to replace a Honeywell Wifi thermostat, which communicated more than the Ecobee does; however, maybe will enjoy the simplicity.

The biggest issue is it is currently not compatible with my system. I do not have the proper wiring. There is an adapter. But all instructions say I need to get a pro involved. I highly recommend talking to a professional about what would be compatible when upgrading. Once I do some other upgrades I do plan on using it.

All my other wireless household items work seamless so it's something to do with the Ecobee. Did some web research and seems its a common unresolved problem. Would I buy again? No, not another Ecobee product.
