Followed instructions and couldn’t get it to power on. Returned.

Caused my ac to constantly short cycle and tripled my energy usage.

Not a good product not easy to handle. And is expansive

I have been using this product for a while now. Recently added the sensors as well. The product is easy to install and works flawlessly. The convenience of controlling the temperature in my house from a different country helps a lot. Im very happy with the product.

No way to hook it up without A c wire so had to return it.

If you already have a programmable thermostat, I don't see much benefit of any smart thermostat. The only real difference (imo) between a smart thermostat and a regular programmable thermostat is online connectivity and maybe voice control. Sure, there are some other features, but if you have a fairly set schedule, all you really need is a programmable thermostat. In fact, I programmed both of our Ecobee's (upstairs and basement furnaces) to run on a set schedule. No geofencing or any other home/away feature. We already had programmable thermostats and I was hesitant to buy these in the first place. The big feature I do appreciate is being able to raise/lower the temperature when en route from returning out of town. I'm not trying to knock this product (it's well built, easy to use, and a perfectly fine instrument), but smart thermostats may not be necessary for everyone. FYI... we didn't have the C wire and had to use the Power Extender Kit. Installation was easy. The provided directions were spot on. Set up was also very easy. Using the web app is very helpful.

I have previously installed and used both the Nest, and Honeywell Lyric thermostats, and this was the easiest installation, and most user-friendly of all of them. Definitely my favorite! I have little electrical knowledge, but none was needed beyond how to turn off the breaker switch, as the steps were very easy to follow. Once installed, the setup was a breeze and it simply works!! I also prefer the Ecobee app over the other brands, for its clean simple interface. I most definitely recommend it!

Best buy wont install it because it needs a module attached to your A/C unit itself and they don't have a License to do so... I tried with a third party installer and it was over $200 only for installation. Nor worth-it.

I never reviewed a product but had to for the Ecobee 3 Lite. Install took 30 minutes and was really easy. After a 5 minute setup to WiFi and connecting to iPhone and Apple watch I am done. I love it and would recommend. Right away i can use my watch or phone to control temp. I had the C wire so i was lucky but it comes with a kit to use if you dont have the C wire. On Ecobee's website there are some good videos to watch.

While I didn’t purchase this from my local BestBuy store, I did buy it elsewhere today. Installation took about 15 minutes, start to finish including registration, linking with Alexa & linking the sensors (which was surprisingly immediate). I’ve read negative reviews on other websites but I didn’t experience any issues at all. It works better than expected & I’ve already recommended it to a couple of friends.

booklet not very comprehensive for me(i'm not american and my english is so so) so i went to yt to find some practical installation and finally i install it very easy,only follow instruction if you don't have a (C) wire in thermostat connections,you need to install a power extension kit (PEK) at the furnace.everything is included in box.do not work with high voltage. i'm diy guy,and if i can do it,you can do it.

Easy purchase, good price. Not difficult to get set up with good consumer support. A little more complex in settings that others smart thermostats, but really nice that you can dial it in more specific to your needs.

I couldn't be any happier with my ecobee3 lite. It's look great on the wall and the UI on the screen and app are very easy to read and use as well as programming/set up. I can even use my Apple Watch to control it! I plan to get a second one for my other home as it's nice to be able to control the temperate ahead of time before I arrive!

I've been very happy with this thermostat. I bought 2 of them and they have both worked great. I like the app and the web interface (although slightly glitchy when adjusting the temperatures), but all in all, this has worked well. However, yesterday this thermostat cost me $876 in repairs! My wiring to the thermostat did not have the C wire, so I installed the included wiring setup to the HVAC that powers the thermostat. This device failed, and took out the HVAC circuit board too. My HVAC guy had to buy a new circuit board ($376), rewire it w/ the C wire ($150), plus labor ($200) plus rewire the 2nd unit to be on the safe side ($150). OUCH! If your current wiring has a C wire, you're good to go. Highly recommended. If you do NOT have this C wire, you are best to have an AC tech install a new wire to save frying your circuit board in your HVAC unit. My tech said the thermostats are great but these add-on pieces to power them are total garbage and fail frequently.

Great product, makes life easier when it comes to home comfort. The schedule tool is great to have a planned routine week, or you can override as desired. I have seen a good savings in my electric bill because of my setups. I have also used the vacation tool, and it worked great for the need to be out.

When I first moved into my home, the first thing I had my sight set on replacing were the dual "non-smart" thermostats. With its Apple homekit integration, support for dual zone air conditioning, remote sensor capability, and flat out gorgeous display, going with the ecobee3 thermostat product lineup was a no brainer. For the upstairs, I purchased and installed the ecobee3 "senior" with a remote sensor. With a recent newborn, the remote sensor capability was a must have so that heating and/or cooling can be set based on what the room temperature is so that my newborn was in the ideal temperature conditions for sleeping. For the downstairs, I went with the ecobee lite since I didn't need the sensor capability and the price point was right up my alley. The ecobee3 products have been a great addition to the house. Easy to use, informative with the current weather conditions, and extremely handy with the home automation integration capability. Now if I can figure out a way to get my hands on an ecobee4.....

I researched the nest, lyric, and ecobee3 before purchasing a smart thermostat. I went with the ecobee3 because of the remote sensors. Our main floor is always ten degrees cooler than our upstairs and with a small child upstairs I wanted a thermostat that operated based on her room temperature, not downstairs especially at night. Love being able to tell the thermostat to operate based on the temperature of a certain room or let the motion sensors tell the thermostat where we are in the house and operate accordingly. Great product. Great interface. Very happy.

We just had this installed to use with our heat pump. It works great! Would highly recommend.

I got tired of not sleeping well due to forgetting to turn the thermostat down at night. After much research I found the Ecobee Lite with sensors was the best setup for us. As soon as I opened the package I was immediately impressed. The packaging was well thought out but more importantly the instructions were extremely well written. They were informative enough I did not have to Google anything, and simple enough for an oaf like me to follow. Icing on the cake was the included wiring labels allowing for really smooth installation. I also liked they include a mounting bracket and are able to choose between using it or not. Our wall is brown so I skipped the bracket and I love the look. Finally, once installed the setup process was a breeze. You can use your smartphone to bind the devices wifi to your home, simple. Being someone who is very difficult to please, I am really happy and impressed with this unit and would highly recommend to anyone.
