Easy to use. Sleek looking. The small sensor is now in our master bedroom and we’re getting better ventilation.

I love my ecobee. The remote sensor so I can adjust temperature from any room is great. Air quality sensor so I know I’m not breathing anything I shouldn’t. And the reminders to change my filters is a must. And of course, it works with HomeKit and Siri And I got a $75 rebate from my utility company.

I have been very pleased with this thermostat in the short time I have had it. I am using it with Apple Home so I can’t comment about how it works with other smart home systems.
It is very well built, was straightforward to install, and performs well. I really like the extra temperature sensor. I placed it in a home office that is occupied often and I feel like the thermostat has learned to keep that area at a more constant temperature than my old one did.

Beautiful design, easy to use, you can control from anywhere, easy step by step installation, well it wasn’t that easy for me because I needed run a C wire, but thanks to the dedicated tech, I was guided and able to run this additional wire and install this awesome device, now I’m so happy

Very easy to install and setup. It automatically emailed TVA and enrolled me in a program that pays out rebates for folks who install smart thermostats like this one. I easily got it connected to my WIFI with their setup menu. Looking forward to being able to look at this thermostat remotely and to seeing what it does for me energy savings-wise.

Mostly good product, though not perfect, especially for the price. At it's core, it's has some great benefits:
* support for Alexa and Google
* AirPlay speaker (though this stopped working after a week of use and I never bothered figuring out why)
* comes with a separate temperature sensor
* air quality sensor!
* Looks good
But in practice, it has some issues:
* Sensors aren't calibrated well. Even with the sensors adjacent to each other for several hours, I get different temperatures +/-5F.
* speaker is bad. Worse than my phone, maybe on par with my smartwatch
* Air Quality sensor isn't accurate. It'll randomly show the air as "Poor" while my air purifier devices mark it as excellent. When I'm cooking, my air purifiers easily pick up the change in air quality while the ecobee says "Clean". Searching online, I see other users are having the same issue.
* UI is more complicated than a non-smart thermostat. To change the temperature, it takes 3 taps as there aren't simple "+" and "-" buttons on the device.
Overall, I did quite a bit of research and I still think this is the best smart thermostat on the market (based on my needs). However, it's far from perfect and didn't live up to my expectations for the price.

My parents have had an ecobee thermostat for years and it’s worked perfectly for them so I thought I’d buy one when I purchased my new home. Very easy to setup using the very clear app instructions. With the smart sensor placed in my room, it allows my room and overall the entire house to stay cool in this brutal south FL summer! I have it on an automated schedule but can also change is very easily after adding it to my Apple HomeKit.

Takes some getting used to. I’m not really noticing my electric bill lowering. If anything it was significantly higher the first month after installing it versus me turning it on and off manually. I get the concept of cranking the AC at an even lower temperature during the “off” times for energy consumption so when it’s peak hours you’re supposedly using less energy. I just have yet to see it become more cost effective then having the AC off while an away and cutting it on to cool down once I’m home. Biggest plus is being able to control the thermostat from my phone which was the main reason for buying.

This has been a great product. It was very simple to setup and use. The app works great and offers all the same functions as being at the thermostat. It’s great to see humidity and air quality as well. The extra sensor has been helpful in the part of the house farthest from the Ecobee. It is a bit expensive but has been great so far. It was nice to monitor what was going on while we are away. Overall it’s a great product.

After moving to Northern California I noticed my house did not have a very good thermostat. I did some research and like the features and flexibity that ecobee had to offer. In my main house, I decided on the Ecobee Premium. It had lots of great features and came with an external senso I placed in our bedroom.
Installation was pretty easy - even though my existing thermostat did not have a C wire. The included PEX adapter was easy to install at the furnace and allowed the Ecobee Premium to get power and work.
I paired Ecobee to my Amazon account and was surprised how well the Alexa function works on the Ecobee!
I have been running the Ecobee Premium for a few weeks now and it has be doing great.
Glad I bought it.

I was between this and the google nest, I made my research and looked also between other options in the market.
At the end i decided for ecobee due its design and options, I like how it looks and is very easy to use. The premium version really looks like the name, the finishing in the sides mades a great different vs the regular model, also the extra sensor is great and the speaker (even if it is not super loud) its pretty fair for the size, you can play music with good volume for a room or a hall and use Alexa with. Planning to get another one for other area.

Purchased the ecobee 4 last year and immediately noticed this one is better looking and feels like it was better built. Now Siri is integrated like Alexa was in the ecobee 4, I know have “hey Siri” on this thermostat and it acts as a doorbell chime for Siri doorbells. I also like the air quality indicator. User interface seems faster and is running smoother.

If you’re into super techy/smarthome devices. This is the best thermostat you can get! You can hook it up to your Spotify and its Alexa enabled. All the features are available through the app are awesome. It gives detailed information about the air quality in your home! I am constantly recommending this to everyone I know!

Very attractive, looking thermostat and most of the normal functions seem to work fine however, I purchased two of these thermostats with the goal of Smart home integration with Apple home because I was having issues with my nest thermostats and it was time for an upgrade however my Apple issues persisted, and I was not able to get any kind of HomeKit or Apple home functionality from the ecobee thermostats that I bought from Best Buy or the ecobee doorbell and that I purchased elsewhere, I can tell that this is a neat system when it works properly as it should, and I like the idea of doorbell chimes coming through the thermostat and like the idea of smart speaker and Siri integration within the thermostat as well as being able to play music from the speakers, but I was unable to get any of that functionality unfortunately, for this reason, I uninstalled and returned all of it and went with a very basic model from Lowe’s instead

This thermostat does exactly what I needed it to do. Install was not hard but I am a licensed electrician. Once you set up the schedule it, it is a bit tricky to understand but once set up its works like a charm.
I don’t have two AC units but I do have a two stories house. So the sensor was installed downstairs and thermostat upstairs. It does a good job balancing the ac reading both temps.
The Alexa is a nice feature, walking in the hall way and being able to ask “what time is it” , or what time my team is playing , even playing music .
Also the app is simple and I can adjust the temp from anywhere.

Its a clean looking and feels way better then the last gen unit, i also like the air quality indicator on this one. Still a easy set up as long as you have the proper wiring

It works OK. I'm not in love with this Ecobee, and the associated app, the way so many users seem to be. On the plus side it does offer good flexibility for scheduling and for comfort settings. Integration with homekit is pretty good, but not great. I like that it lets me lock out the heat strips according to the outside temp (I don't need the heat strips until about 10 degrees ambient).
However, there are quite a few downsides.
1. The unit itself heats up, a lot. It does seem to have built in adjustment for its own heat generation but, it's not perfect. I find I had to do a manual adjustment of the temp to get it to stop overestimating the temperature at the thermostat
2. Small, but annoying, you can't adjust the temperature reading of the standalone sensor.
3. If there is any way to see HVAC analytics in the app I can't find it. I had to literally get a third party app just to be able to see the daily usage on my phone.
4. Home & Away are kinda nonsense because they only factor in if you have passed by a sensor recently. I guess this may work if all your rooms have sensors. Mine don't and if I spend too long in the spare bedroom the ecobee will set away.
5. The humidity sensor needed a 4 percentage point adjustment to be accurate.
6. I started to use the ecobee website to get analytics on my HVAC but it very annoyingly logs me out every time I leave it alone for a while so I can't just hit refresh the way almost every other website in the world allows.
