Replaced my Honeywell with this. I don’t use comfort settings but I do use it with HomeKit shortcuts and automations for when I get home and when I leave. So far no issues. And the sensor for my bedroom is even better to keep the room cool!

Two thermostats are in and they work great. My house is 30 + years old and the thermostat wires did not have the 5th wire for common. Cost me several hundred dollars with HVAC to have lines dropped........Total Tech installer said he couldn't install them but he could have. The Eccobee comes with a wiring adaptor. I could have saved the money on the lines.

The Ecobee Premium thermostat is sleek, and has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. A premium touch screen, an extra room sensor, air quality sensors, and a great app. Its helped bring our heating/cooling costs down- without having to sacrifice comfort. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice thermostat, Mrs. a few features that I miss from my nest, but overall pretty nice. The interfaces in the app don’t seem to be as intuitive as some other brands. I love the multiple sensor thing to control temperatures for sleeping and stuff.

Set up was very easy and Thermostat/App are very informative. They let tou know the status of your equipment and even if there is an issue with your HVAC system.

Such an upgrade from Nest! Going from the 2nd generation nest to the Ecobee was a game changer for our house. Almost embarrassing how excited I am over a thermostat. But when technology works for the exact purpose it is made for and then you add super cool features and a touch.. who wouldn’t be thrilled!?!

I bought this thermostat to replace my nest one when it started having problems. I’m glad I made the choice and won’t be going back to Nest.

Such an awesome purchase. We had the "normal" ecobee in our previous home. When we moved, I purchased the Premium ones to put in the house. Both install were very quick, maybe 10 minutes per devices. Linked all our previous sensors, and everything ran smoothly.

It has it's glitches, overall a good experience, especially being able to control the temp before getting out of bed in the morning. It doesn't always control/respond to configuration changes, nor kick in when the temp level hits a particular paramenter.

Installed pretty easy even with the PEK that comes with. Had some issue connecting to wifi. Allowed to do it manually. Has disconnected once on 5 mhz. Set it on 2.4 and so far so good.

I work in tech. I understand automation. I appreciate smart products. This thermostat is not smart. It’s just busy. The Ecobee is the most overengineered way to accomplish the very simple task of holding a temperature. It is crammed with features nobody asked for, eco modes, occupancy detection, comfort profiles, smart recovery, follow-me sensors. All of it sounds impressive until you realize it constantly overrides you. You turn things off. They quietly turn themselves back on. You set a temperature. It decides it knows better. Real example. My toddler is asleep at 6pm. In his crib. My husband and I are downstairs watching TV. House is calm. Everyone is home. Suddenly the heat drops. We start wondering why it feels like a ski lodge in January. Check the thermostat and it has decided “no one is home” and dropped the house to 62 degrees. Because apparently a sleeping child and two adults sitting still means the house is vacant. Nothing like discovering your entire house is freezing because your thermostat decided to optimize you. And before anyone says “just adjust the settings,” we have. Repeatedly. That’s the problem. This thing requires constant babysitting. It quietly enables energy saving behaviors. It shifts profiles. It follows sensors in ways that make zero sense. The accuracy is also laughable. We have calibrated hygrometers throughout the house. The readings do not match. Even after buying additional Ecobee sensors, which are supposed to solve this, the temperature swings are still inconsistent. It says 72. The room feels wildly different. It’s unreliable. For something marketed as premium and intelligent, it behaves like a beta product that escaped QA. I don’t need my thermostat to be clever. I need it to maintain the temperature I set. That’s it. Instead I have a device that actively works against me and occasionally freezes my family because it thinks it’s smarter than reality. Just incredibly annoying.

Love this thermostat. Setup was easy. Customer service was excellent, in case you have any wiring questions. Total control with a very intuitive app. And it look good on the wall.

This is my favorite home smart device it’s integrated with Apple HomeKit is awesome!

Works perfectly so far as I can tell. It has more capabilities than I am using right now. But, as I get more familiar with it, I'm sure I will be able to use it to a level more to the device's capabilities. Looks great on the wall. Who would think a thermostat could be fun?

Way better than nest. I feel that its settings make more sense and it was easier to install. Screen user experience is better and works with Android and iPhone well.

Love my Ecobee this is my second one and I highly recommend! I can check ‘ adjust temperature while away from home on the app! Easy to install and very easy to program.

I owned the ecobee smart thermostat 3 lite in my last house. When moving, I wanted to upgrade...and what an upgrade this is! fantastic design, better UI, and love the additional sensor. As always the app is great to use, and the seamless integration into my Apple Home is fabulous!

Excellent thermostat! I bought one of these last year for upstairs since the old thermostat is at the other end of the house and we kept forgetting to turn it up when we left. I thought a smart thermostat would be a way to remotely be able to set it and the smart program may even be able to do it automagically for us. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it installed and it does everything it says on the tin as advertised! Installation was easy even thought I had to connect a c wire to both the thermostat location and the furnace. The guide in the app steps you through everything you need to verify this is compatible with your system before you even get started. It guides you through how to check for your wiring configuration and label all your wiring before installing it. Tech support is available if you have any questions or doubts about your connections. You can send them pics of your wiring and they will advise which ones need to be used and in what order. Very helpful! I liked the upstairs one so much after almost a year I bought another one to replace the old downstairs one. The app can control both thermostats separately. I like the included sensor in the premium thermostat and have one in the bedroom on the other end of the house from the upstairs thermostat. The system app will show you what the temp is at the thermostat as well as whatever room the sensor is in. Great quality build on the all metal outer case and glass touch screen on the thermostat. I have not used the voice control yet but love the way it can suggest ways to set your temperature to save you money when you are not around. There are settings for home and away modes that can be configured to your liking or auto mode to adjust when you are not around. This can save you money by not cooling the house when no one’s home. Packaging is great quality and company really seems to be behind their product and the environment. They offer suggestions after it learns your habits to adjust your temperature to save you even more money. The eco mode works well on this model. I like the weather report option on the display on both the app and the main unit. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Anyone can install it as long as you follow the instructions step by step in the app guide. We liked it enough to buy 2 and replace both of our old contractor battery thermostat models installed when the house was built. These work without batteries. The only thing I found is that they go out if the power is out for some reason. They do pick up where they left off as soon as power is restored. Recommend these premium thermostats to anyone. No electrician needed to install these if you follow the app instructions.
