Been in the capture card came since the Dazzle and the Happauge HD PVR. Insane how much capture cards have improved. Had the OG Elgato HD Capture, as well as the HD60, HD60 S+, and the 4k60 MK.II. This is defintely a game changer if you have a monitor that handles 120fps or VRR to 144. I use this for my PS5 and there is no stutter, maybe HDR is still in the works for it to work perfectly. But while streaming this thing is amazing! Max frames for smoother gameplay and excellent picture for streams/gameplay capture. GET THIS!

It works great. The capture is clean when recoding pc or PS5 footage. I only wish it could handle 4K HDR but 1440P HDR still looks phenomenal.

Really is a plug and play device. Watched some YouTube videos to help me out and was pretty simple. Downloaded OBS studio and Elgato Capture Utility and it was ready to go!

For anyone trying to record gameplay on a modern console without having to stream through Twitch (had to all the time for my previous consoles), this is a must have. It is very easy to set up, captures at amazing speeds, and does everything well. It can also capture party chat, allowing you to capture your friends' voices if needed/wanted. It has a very sleek and simple design, easy to keep hidden. My only issue with this item is the fact that it takes up my only USB-C port.

I needed a capture card I can take on the go for my ps5. I needed one that could capture high refresh rates and resolutions and this does the job perfectly!

One of the first crop of hdmi 2.1 capture cards

One of the few hdmi 2.1 capture cards. This is on the usb bus, so you are limited on bandwidth. You have to use mjpg for capturing 4k144 with only a 4:2:0 8 bit color format. If you can live with reduced color format at higher framerates, then this will suffice for you. The only drawback is the new 2.1 capture cards also reduce the 4k60 colorspace captures too

I have the 4k60 mk 2 ... yes i hold onto that for 4k60 hdr recordings if needed... but FINALLY 4K120 on my lg oled c2 .... sacrificing isn't a problem anymore just to stream.

Using my old gaming PC from 2017 as my streaming PC, I'm finally able to have the right passthrough for 4K 144hz (10gb passthrough USB port required). Since my older PC doesn't have a USB-C plug in, but a strong enough USB-A port, I just bought an adapter that can handle that level of passthrough, and it was working just fine. Easy set up, and a decent upgrade from the HD60X.

The Elgato 4K X Capture card is one of the best new capture cards out now by Elgato. This Capture Card does amazing job capturing your PS5, Xbox or Switch gameplay. It works with OBS, Discord, Streamlabs and the iPad using Elgato new iPad app called Elgato Capture very solid great device. A must buy definitely worth the money.

This is a huge upgrade from my previous capture card (Elgato HD Pro). Being able to play 4k+HDR on my 2k ultrawide monitor feels great! I bought this to play Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth on PS5 and had a fantastic time. Extremely easy to setup and play. This has very low latency, playing in the preview window of OBS works really well.

When it comes to creating content, there are so many ways to go about it, but in the video game space few capture devices have the reputation Elgato holds. This is for good reason, as they time and again stand above the competition in terms of quality and ease of use. If you're looking to capture 4K Gameplay, look no further.

This is a huge upgrade over the original HD60s that I’ve been using for years. One thing to note, check the legato website for exact capture resolutions supported by your system. You can’t capture HDR on Mac. Elgato software seems capped at 4k 60 add but 4k 60 hdr works in OBS. I did some test recording and it looked great.

After careful decision making I decided to go with this capture card and let me tell you..it’s incredible. I do live game streaming and needed to find something with 4K capability. This capture card is great and the price isn’t very steep. Great card for beginner streamers all the way up to the pros!

I previously bought the 4k60 Pro but had difficulty with compatibility on my PC. After trying to get it to work for multiple days and buying a new 4k monitor I eventually gave up and refunded it to purchase this. Since this doesn't have the same internal requirements within my PC this allows me to record my PS5 gameplay in 4k with no delay.

Device is great, accepts VRR and HDR signals so I can use this device with a simple HDMI 2.1 splitter from ps5 into the capture port, the other end goes to my TV. This allows me to stream/capture on pc and still play ps5 at 4k VRR 120hz on oled tv with no problems or compromises. The only thing that sucks is the 4k utility app, it is slow and adds a lot of input lag compared to the old game capture HD app for my old HD 60s, if I wanted to play straight from the preview window on my pc instead of tv.
