I decided to buy this after being long dissatisfied with cheap knock off. It gives me the full video quality from the camcorder and is just what i needed to stream high quality church service. Now i just need a better camera. Lol

Working from home and having a software restricted work laptop also restricted me to using my bad laptop webcam! This Camlink allows me to use my Cannon DLSR was my webcam which has truly set my meeting, virtual town halls, and even YouTube live streams apart from others I work with!

I needed an easy way to connect my Lumix G100 to my desktop and laptop for streaming and recording. This was a no-brainer as a PCIE capture card was out of the question. It works great with OBS with no issues or noticeable lag.

This piece has been huge, it's allowed me to turn my GoPro into a webcam and I will definitely also utilizing it with my dslr. I suggest any of you purchase this, the quality of picture that was relayed to my computer greatly enhanced a presentation I gave across the country. the price is right. Elgato so far my experience is a great company. I also use the stream deck.

This product for its price of 100$ its extremely good and creates a great capture of 1080p and is cheap compared to some of the other elgato capture equipment that you can get for almost double the price yet does the same job.

Works flawlessly. When these were out of stock for a few months, I bought a nock-off. It worked but not very well. It is definitely worth the money to buy the best. Camlink is the best on the market. I have a Nikon D7100, it is not listed as compatible or at least not tested by the manufacturer. It worked right out of the box with my D7100. No issues at all.

Audio doesn’t work from a particular video production device; does work from one laptop to another; video looks great. No drivers needed (or available) for Mac, I was able to immediately start using the Cam Link 4K as an input source for Zoom & QuickTime. I did try the elGato capture software which did not fix the audio issue. I called elGato & the other manufacturer, neither could provide a solution. I had to connect analog out to USB-C/Mic adapter.

The product doesn't come with the capture software but the download was quick. The build quality is 4 star as the plastic body has some give to it. At $99 these issues aren't a problem @ $145 the product would be disappointing. It is a large device and will block a second USB port on a tight U/O. The capture software is easy to use a seems to record with no issues. Overall good deal at 99 dollars.

If you're looking for a capture card that JUST does it's job and you're tight with money, this card will do it's job for sure. But if you're a FPS gamer or you care about how long it takes for you to move your joy stick on your controller or to move your mouse and see that in real time, save up money for a better card. The time it takes to translate the image from the source to whatever your capture card is plugged in to is going to feel sluggish. It's a USB capture card, so I'm hoping your hopes for this card weren't high before you read this review to begin with. If you're looking for minimal input delay, go get a HDMI in to HDMI out capture card. I don't recommend this card much for gaming. Anything else? Absolutely.

I plugged my DSLR camera into the Cam Link 4K, and plugged the Cam Link into my MacBook Pro. The computer, without any drivers, saw the Cam Link as an additional webcam. It works fine.

Plug and play has never been so true. Device comes with an additional usb extender to properly plug into any USB port.
I personally use for streaming live on twitch. Feel free to stop by to see the quality twitch.tv/twizted_
I highly recommend taking a look at different streams to see which quality camera you like best. I use the lumix g7. Also recommended for budget, high quality streams.

Plugged into a 2020 MacBook pro and using a Panasonic GX85 for direct recording/streaming. It's very simple and does exactly what it's supposed to do. They're in high demand due to lockdown, I bought the day it was back in stock and it was already sold out before the day was over.
