Great product! Works better than I expected. Price is ok for getting the 4k at 30 fps. I purchased a low end generic usb capture device for half the price and this truly out performed it hands down. I would recommend the elgato to anyone looking to capture high quality 4K video.

Works perfectly for cameras to be used as webcams ie Panasonic Lumix, Canon Cameras (DSLR) Just plug and play. Setup is easily achieved by setting your OBS/Streamlabs and it will recognize your camera as a webcam. For that high quality streaming camera this is the one to go!

Literally just plug & play. Plug this into your DLSR and you've got yourself a high quality webcam. There may be some software issues with OBS, but it works 99% of the time without any issues. It runs a little warm, so we'll see if the heat causes any issues, but so far so good. I'm happy with it's performance.

This product is the missing link from my video streaming activities that gave me the ability to stream live rather than just posting recorded content to Youtube and Facebook. It provided a quality interface between my laptop running OBS and my 4K camcorder. I was impressed with the stable video and audio content conversion from the HDMI output of my camcorder into the USB inout to my laptop. It produced high quality 60 fps in my first 1080P streams. Highly recommend this small but effective tool.

Truly plug and play. Works as it says! Seriously, the simplest way to connect any camera with an HDMI out to your computer to be seen by programs such as Zoom, Microsoft teams, or for streaming.

I highly suggest this for anyone looking to connect their DSLR/Mirrorless Camera or Camcorder to feed high quality video into the computer. On a mac, it was near instant recognition of 4 different video devices I tried. CON: Its a bit pricey for lack of configurations

I got the cam link to use with my Sony a6000 and set up was so simple. Just plug and play and select cam link is the camera on your computer. Just make sure you get the proper hdmi cord that is compatible with whichever camera you are connecting it to!

Works very well. Hooked it up to a LUMIX G7 and works flawlessly. Just make sure to plug into a USB 3 port.

It's as easy as plug in and use. I had issues at first but everything was fixed quick and easy by trying as different USB port on my computer the quality is amazing only issue I have is the size of it makes it so I cant use the USB port directly above/below it

Bought this in order to use my Sony a6500 as a webcam for twitch streaming. Works perfectly! Legit plug in play! All you have to do is download the El Gato software and you are good to go!

I use this now to make my Sony Alpha a77II a webcam. The image quality is spectacular, and it is as simple as plug and play. Very impressed with just how easy it works. I'll use it in future to live stream sports games and am looking forward to using it.

Hello everyone! This is a great product if you have the right camera because in some cases, you don't necessarily need this item. For example, I have a Sony A7 III and a Sony A7, both of which have something called Sony Cam Link. It picks up the video without the need for a video encoder and it's free. The $100 price is a bit hard to swallow since there are options available for a lot less. However, if you have an older camera that doesn't have this feature, then this is a great option if you would like to be able to use it in other situations. It opens up a lot of doors for you. When you do use it, it's super simple. Just plug and play, which is great. The build quality isn't the best and it feels a bit cheap, but you are really paying for the software and the ease of use. I would only recommend it if you need it and the other options don't work for you.

I'm hoping if you are reading this that you have not pulled the trigger on the unrecognizable versions of this on Amazon. This works wonderfully and really is easy to use, but I feel it is overpriced for what it offers. The simple truth is that Elgato has the market cornered and it is in high demand. Once you shell out the cash, you will be happy with the result.

Purchased to use add my DSLR as a webCAM for College. It was plug and play. Just connect the cables and open your software of choice. (Zoom, GoToMeeting Facebook Live) This can handle 4K video with very little delay. The Clap Test looks clean.

Dont pay for subscriptions to use camera software to grt full resolution image capture… get this, and it works out of the box with 0 issue

I haven't had any problems with this. Just plugged it in and it works automatically in Zoom or Quicktime if you change your input settings. Also with OBS. I haven't noticed any lag in recording but it seems to work best on my computer in 720p.

We have this hooked up to a Panasonic 4K camcorder which is connected to a Rode VideoMic Pro Plus microphone. Thanks to the Cam Link 4k, Zoom, Teams, Skype for Business, and On24 can all use this upgraded equipment and the results are stunning. Our customers are all commenting on the image and sound quality compared to your typical USB webcam. The only service where the Cam Link 4K did not work was GoToWebinar. The Cam Link 4K inventory has been spotty in recent months. We tried IOGear's similar product and there is no comparison... The IOGear cannot match the Cam Link 4K's video or audio quality. We kept checking our local Best Buy stores and were thrilled when the Cam Link became available.
