My last printer would cost $120 to replace the ink cartridges. Now is about $60 to refill the ink with a much higher page count than traditional cartridges.

The only problem I have with it is the inability to scan documents! I will order the upgrade and hopefully it will be just fine!

I went with this one and have been truly satisfied. The steps are easy to follow and the printer doesn't use much ink.

It does self-fed 2-sided print, and it scans. The ink is super easy to fill. You just add the ink by placing bottle upside into a self-sealing auto lock in tab and the ink will fill itself and stop filling by itself when it is full. Super, super easy, pretty much how printers should have been years ago.

I understand computers and I understand printers. This is by far the most difficult printer I have ever used. First, it's very noisy. Second, it doesn't always print what you ask it to. You have to go over to the printer because it's asking you 8 questions before it will print. Printing pictures is so painful. It just doesn't want to print the picture the way you are telling the computer that you want it printed. When you finally answer all the questions it's askin on the printer, it prints a blank page!

The plastic the printer is constructed out of is fairly flimsy.
