However, to scan a simple document in black and white or color and save it in PDF or JPEG format took way too long. I have two older Epson scanners (Perfection 1200 and 1250) that worked much faster, but unfortunately those scanners are not compatible with the latest Widows operating systems.

Aside from adjusting your scan settings, connecting the scanner to your computer via Hi-Speed USB may also help to speed up scanning. Returned It, Didn’t work Properly with Apple

Unfortunately it didn’t work properly with Apple. Communicated twice with Epson Technical Support with no successful resolution. Returned it to Best Buy store & exchanged it for an HP which works great.

Only solution seemed to be to restart my mac (running OS Big Sur 11.4). Scan quality was OK when it worked, but not worth the hassle of connection issues.

On the third attempt to use it today, it is not working. Save your $75.00. BTW I had to get a USB connector also as it does not come with one.

It connects easily to a pc without the need for extra software. Simply insert CD to drive and follow instructions while connected to internet. Then when you do start scanning your pictures it is not necessary to be connected to the web. It has a lot of extra features for the person who knows a lot about photography. Good for beginners and people with advanced photography knowledge at a great price.
