The printer does everything as advertised. The wi-fi was easy to set up. Print speed is sufficient and the quality of the copies is good. The fax and scanning features also work very well.

The printer works very well. The print quality, ease of set up and operation all work fine. It's much harder to find the 802XL color cartridges other than to order directly from Epson.

This printer is a all in to one which I definitely needed! It also prints very quickly for my day to day activities.

I replaced my Samsung Photosmart 7520.The Samsung leaked and smeared ink after 5 years. i replaced it with the Epson WF 4740 based on reviews and aesthetics. I could not be happier and any more impressed with this printer. The Epson was a dream to set up connecting wirelessly with my Imac computer. All functions worked flawlessly. There is no problem printing wirelessly from my computer or any delays which I had experienced with my Samsung. I contacted customer service for assistance with faxing from my computer. Getting through and receiving assistance went very well. I love the design and functions that the Samsung did not have such as memory for fax phone numbers frequently used. The quality of the print is crisp and excellent. I could not be happier with this decision. Thank you, Epson.

I had the workforce 3640 in the past and needed to replace it, so I bought this 4740. Prints nicely, fast and good quality. Scanning quality could be improved slightly. Despite setting to higher DPI, it still missed a few dots but making copies from the machine was just fine, which seemed a bit odd to me. Don't buy this expecting to scan photos cleanly. But it does very well with typical work or school documents and graphics that aren't complex. The thing I like about Epson is that they supply you with full cartridges of ink out of the box rather than giving you a sample size.

I am very happy having purchased this printer. The quality of the print is way better than our older Epson printer. Its a very fast printing time and you can either print on both sides of the paper. Colored printing is exceptional. And its a perfect size printer and modern design. We love it.

Quality of print is very good. A laser quality feel. The speed of print is fast and 2 sided printing incredible.

I purchased the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4740 after extensive research online. It has been about 3 months now, and I am extremely happy with this printer. It is incredibly fast - the fastest of all inkjet printers and even prints faster color documents than a laser printer. It has not jammed once after approx 750 pgs printed. It has automatic double-sided printing. The AirPrint works great and the device is easily connected to Wifi for wireless printing from all of our Apple devices. The only drawback is that the ink is expensive and sometimes difficult to locate. I have had no difficulty picking up or ordering replacement cartridges directly from Staples. The increased price of ink cartridges is not as hard to swallow with a printer that functions flawlessly and is a workhorse for the home office. Definitely purchase only authentic Epson ink cartridge replacements, as many have reported problems with remanufactured or after market ink cartridges. Highly recommend.

By far this printer beats HP printers! Fast printing and no dumb printer preparation. Print quality is good.

The printer has been in our family for over 2 1/2 years. I do a lot of reports and have gone through dozens of reams of printing paper. Sometimes the printer will pick up more than one paper page at a time but it very well could be the paper, not the printer. The photos from the printer are excellent. What I find upsetting and it is typical of all printers is the cost of ink refills. Two complete ink refills equal the original cost of the printer. It is getting harder to find the ink for the WF-4740. Since this model has been discontinued, the ink companies have cut back on the production, but not the price. The printing is excellent, fast, quiet, and never smudges.

I wish there was a way to use only the black ink rather than using the black ink setting but still uses color. it's quick and fast, however, like the other printers, this scan set up is foreign to me and the instructions do not make sense for someone who is not an expert with printers. Other than that, its a great product for 'home' use. ink is extremely expensive, but what ink isnt', right?. i would recommend for regular paper printing that is fast and quick.

The printer is easy to set up. Good quality prints and pictures. It is a bit on the noisy side when in operation over my replaced Epson. It has features that will take a little while to figure out. I'm trying to get it to print darker, but have not read the instructions yet.

We picked this up to print out somethings in bulk, and his did that and more! Great quality.

So far 4740 is working as advertised. We had to upgrade from an Epson 600 since we now have a true home office thanks to COVID. The initial setup is a little lengthy not just a plug and play. Need to register and set up on Epson for a few features. The two sided printing is very nice. The quality has been great and speed of printer is nice. One of our computers drops the printer on occasion but all other devices have worked 100%.

Bought this for its ability to FAX two sided scanning, Two sided printing and is very fast and I do like Epson printers and scanners. The price was inexpensive, Still have my first Epson Photo 800, still works, bought in 1996.

I don't write over the top reviews, or use superlatives where not needed. The printer just works. It was easy to set up. It prints and scans faster than my old Canon 860 and doesn't try to take over my pictures the way the Canon software did. All in all, I'm happy.

This is a great printer. It has all the things I need and the price was excellent.
