It would help if more instructions came with the printer. I wish to scan items to a memory device, and would like to know that it saved it on a memory device by showing up either on my computer or on the printer screen.

Difficult to use

Hard to use and having problems with printing when I try to print more than 10 pages. It pulls in two or more pieces of paper.

**THE 4820 DOES NOT DO DUPLEX SCANNING OR COPYING!**
The specifications section indicates that this device performs duplex scanning; it does not! It also does NOT do duplex copying. It's a perfectly acceptable all-in-one, as long as duplex functions are not important to you. However, the Best Buy description and the user manual are misleading. NOTE: the online user manual is for*both* the 4820 *and* 4830 models...and it doesn't always specify to which model the directions pertain. I had specifically looked up the duplex capability in the manual before I purchased the device; it indicated that it could do it -- but it turns out that was only for the 4830 model.
I hope this information helps anyone else trying to get an accurate understanding of this device's capabilities.

I love the all in one printer. I had an HP printer before and i was gaving trouble connecting it to the internet with the epsom it is no more easily to connect and i can scan and printer

after you get it set up not just with printer but scanner and fax, it's a pretty good machine for the money. I've has workforce in the past so definitely wanted to buy that style again. The old model 2540 was more user friendly, but it's been discontinued.

Other than problems with envelopes, it is a nice printer. There was no instruction book in the box. I still like the printer and feel the envelope problems are caused by Windows 1”.

Not worth the ongoing effort

This machine has been one annoyance after another. It doesn't stay connected to WiFi longer than a day at a time and has to be power cycled to connect back to it. Granted, that does get it going again, but what a nuisance to have to do this every time I use it. The firmware is constantly needing updating and that also requires a power cycle to reconnect to WiFi before it can actually do it. I got ink from Amazon that was remanufactured for this printer and came with an "Amazon tested" claim and it worked until the next Firmware update but now the printer can't recognize the same cartridge that was in there before the update. Reverting back to the old firmware version is seemingly impossible, because I can't find a search function for the drivers.
And, I know... it's recommended to purchase the branded ink, but my previous printer could handle such atrocities. This machine just takes so much unnecessary labor to use, so I have to recommend against it! The print quality is great, even on double-sided prints so I mean... it does its job. It's just a huge pain to get it to do its job.

Till now working well. But finding it difficult to connect iPhone wirelessly .it should not be difficult if the instructions are easy

I have not completely figured it out, but enough I can use it. My last one was great with the price of ink, I do not know about this one yet, but for the price it works well.
