Small home printer but it has a one side ADF for scanning. If you are looing for a double side scanning capability within the same range of printers, I would suggest the WF-4830

It is very loud and it sounds like it not made well
I would return it but printers are in short supply due to COVID so we will keep it until it dies, maybe 6 montgs?

Both Best Buy and Epson advertise this printer will do two sided copying and scanning using the ADF. That is not true, you must do it manually. We bought this printer to use for ADF two sided scanning and it will not perform as advertised. We contacted both Best Buy and Epson and they apologized but cannot do anything to correct the problem and will not allow us to send it back for credit and purchase the WF-4830 to get the features we thought we were getting on the WF-4820.

It wouldn't print and it's a new printer and then it was skipping pages when printing

It has too many selections to work easily. It will not print headers/footers on my print screens and website. For that reason I don't like it!

Printer is not user friendly. I’m inconvenienced every time I need to scan a document.

WiFi connectivity not good

Disconnects from WiFi frequently. We changed from an HP Envy to this one. Looked great on paper but the constant dropping of WiFi is frustrating.

This printer is a work horse. Performs all of the work from home office work.

Stopped working right within 2 months and cannot get it to work

Works fine. Prints automatically on both sides of paper but won't autofeed both sides of originals.

The printing and scanning quality are OK when you can get the device to work. There are several "versions" of the same unit with different names in the device manager (Epson 4820, Epson 4820 series, Epson 4820 Fax, EpsonE2B793). Printer drivers won't install. Ink cartridges are very difficult to remove and insert. Paper tray sticks, cheap plastic. No matter how much you fan the paper before inserting into the tray, multiple blank sheets or partially printed sheets come through the printer. Control Panel is annoying and you have to close each window manually. I cannot get the WiFi to work. Scanner functions are confusing and only work on certain of the "named" versions. Legal paper is the scan default and grayed out, you need to "Preview" the page before scanning to change the paper size. ScanSmart doesn't work with automatic document feeder; it only scans one page at a time and it's a clumsy, multi-screen process. Epson Support page and user manual are worthless.
