I've owned 3 Garmins before this one. They've all been fine gps units in they're own right. This Drivesmart 50Lmt by Garmin, is better then most. The voice command works as well or better than any I've used. Audio is clear and concise. The problem I have is the maps aren't up to date! I uploaded the latest version. No change. Roads that have been closed a year or more are still sometimes shown in routes. New intersections and round-a-bouts built a year or two ago frequently aren't shown at all. I'd say other than the occasional misdirect this is a solid performer. Fix the mapping issues and it would be great. That's the reason for four instead of five stars!!!

It was highly rated on all the review sites. Easy to use and accurate. Free maps and traffic is nice. Wish the traffic feature was a little more intuitive during rush hour traffic.

I love this GPS. Updates are quick and easy to do. It's very accurate. Notifies you of curves, speed limit changes, delays. It also shows a day time pick of the exit before approaching which is helpful when you are in an area you don't know. It's easy to store favorites. Only 2 things I would change if I could. First when searching an address you only search the street number and name. It does not allow you to enter in the city/town ,so searching can take a little longer. Also, I would like more voice options. There are only a few choices on the device itself and you cannot down load options. Minor issues in my opinion. I am very happy with it and would buy it again.

This GPS works great. Tells me where to go, and how long it will take me to get there. The bluetooth capabilities are nice, as well as the voice command. I'd definitely recommend.

I bought this as an update to my 4 inch, 10 year old Garmin, which still works. Wanted a larger screen and more features. Tested it only once but it worked perfectly. It was accurate as to "turn here" announcements right before you get to the intersections and location of the destination. Thought I had a faulty unit initially when it turned itself off mid trip. Then I realized I had not completely pushed the charger into the charging port. It worked fine after that. It's not the fanciest unit Garmin sells but has all the features I wanted. My car has a Bluetooth connection for my cell phone so I didn't want that. Good mid-priced unit.

Replaced a 3-yr old Garmin. Love the new size, voice control, ease of use, ease of app. Just "love it"! Was a loyal TomTom user for years, but Garmin has passed their technology.

I really like this GPS. The only thing that would be better is a Google GPS. I do wish that the Bluetooth could connect to my car so I could hear the voice output through the car speakers. I recommend this version if you don't have a Bluetooth system in your car, otherwise get the non Bluetooth version and save some cash.

Very helpful, easy to used; the live traffic option is really helpful ... Specially if you drive too much, I'm a route salesman and drive a lot, this gps gets me everywhere !

The initial update process was a little tedious and slow but otherwise the device works flawlessly in normal everyday use. I drive to 4-6 houses a day that could be anywhere between 50 to 150 miles a day doing home healthcare and this device is way better, for me, than trying to use Google Map or some other map apps on my phone. I replaced a 7-8 yr old Garmin Nuvi with this and it is quite and upgrade for me. Much more user friendly than my previous Garmin.

It has been great. It is easy to use and gets you to the right place;that is the important part. I have a personal preference for the Tom Tom.

The unit starts up quick, acquires the satellites fast, and the blue tooth is an added bonus. Extremely accurate and a great size screen.

My wife bought this Garmin before a trip to Santa Fe recently and I had some fun heckling her about being the only person who still uses an external GPS instead of her phone. But this thing came in really handy in the mountains when Siri was nowhere to be found. I've been eating some crow. :)

Love it this got it for my wife who is not tech savvy. But she finds this easy to use with the Bluetooth and is user friendly

This is my first commercial civilian GPS. (I have used GPS in the military for 25 years and was even an instructor for GPS). I had seen other people use the models and done some research as well as reading reviews and felt that this model really met my needs as well as ease of use and price & quality. Tons of great features, very simple to use and set up. A novice could quickly learn to use this model. Very happy with this GPS and I feel I will get a long life from it as it seems to be a quality item.4

Garmin makes a great makes a product. Setup and storing addresses is easy. The price was great, and it works well. We like the features that pop up giving hotels and food vendors at each exit. Its easy to use, especially the hands free speech commands is a plus. The screen easy to see and we like the lane assistance features. A recommended product. Best Buy assistant was, excellent help, knowledgeable and honest in his replies to our questions. Love the service, and the patience.

Navigator never gave me a problem. It's very easy to use and has always got me the right location, never fails.

I like everything about this gps, from voice command lane assist and display and most of all its user friendly

GARMON GPS IS SMALL COMPACT AND SO EASY TO USE. MY NEW CADILLAC DID NOT HAVE A GPS AND I NEEDED ONE QUICKLY.

This is an improvement over previous models. The touch screen responds much quicker and it seems to pick up satellites faster and compute faster. The only negatives are you have to buy a memory card or something if you want to go beyond out of box functionality and the battery life seems to be really bad compared to previous years. Seems like a couple of steps backwards. Still a good choice of GPS if you keep it plugged into the cigarette lighter?
