I would give it 5 except that the three screws needed for installation of the top rail were poorly manufactured and it took some doing to get them to thread. I also purchased this model in the 5,000 btu and did not not have this issue, so hopefully just a QC fluke with this one. The unit is well made and easy to install. It runs pretty quietly and does the job well. I'd definitely recommend this.

I purchased two of these for my household. One for my daughter's room which is not a very large bedroom. It cools the room quickly and efficiently. The other I placed in my larger bedroom and while it's not meant for a large room along with a small fan it gets the job done. Not the quietest AC out there but not so loud it'll keep you up at night. Lacks some advanced features but at the price of this one it'll get the job done.

Good price, does what I needed it to. Super light weight and easy to install. I wish it got a little bit colder but it cools enough. We use it to supplement our central hvac which is old and not the greatest. Our bedroom faces the sun all day so no matter how cool we keep the house this is needed to cool our bedroom which is usually 15 degrees or so hotter.

This was the only air conditioner that would fit in a small window in my kitchen. The room is not closed off to the dining room, so I was afraid it would get overworked and wouldn't be able to keep the temperature down. To my surprise, the room that this unit is in is usually the coolest in the house. I leave it on econ and let it do its thing. It's not quiet, but not that loud either. In total, I am happy with my purchase.

These things can cool a small room down. They are a bit noisy, but I sleep with one on in our bedroom. For the price they can be worth it if you absolutely need an AC and can't afford to go higher quality. However, do not expect to get more than 2 years out of them. Both of my units, one brand new and one a year old, have exhibited behavior you'll find in other reviews. The thermostat is prone to reading Temps lower than the room, and due to a number of factors the unit can ice up and cause leaking from the front. I have both my units tilted back the appropriate amounts and keep the filters clean. I think this issue has more to do with the excessive heat in my area and the fact these units are cheaply made. Again I don't think this is a Must Avoid, but if you can afford better quality then spend the money.

Great little air conditioner. It keeps the room just how I like it. The tiny little drawback is the vents where the cool air comes out only direct the air to the left or right, there is no up or down. Other than that great unit, not very noisy, I like a little sound anyway so it works for me. Very easy to install.

Easy to install, easy to use, performing well in the recent heat wave

We have a very small apartment and we needed an AC to replace our 12 year old 12,000 BTU aircon. It takes time to cool a 250 SQ Foot area when it's new. It could not even cool the room down to 70 F within an hour. But once it has been used for several weeks, it can bring down room temperatures to around 68F as per my recorded observation. Do take note that it takes some time. Perfect for small rooms.

Bought one of these for a small bedroom in our house. We liked that it was lightweight and easy to get into the window, but powerful enough to cool down the room. It's also not super noisy which is a plus. To top it off, we love the honeycomb grille on tbe front of it where the filter is- it looks neat. Another AC we had recently died, so we went and got a second one of these and so far so good.

Works ok. Change filter light has been on since we installed it. I took out the filter and put it back in and don't see anything wrong with it. Runs pretty quiet and keeps the room cool.

Easy to install. Light weight and compact. Good instructions.

Easy enough to install, even with double hung old style windows. It doesn't have a drain as many newer ones don't. The fan sprays the water on the coils to cool them. If there is too much condensation building up on humid days, a piece of gauze hung over the lip in the back wicks the extra out nicely. It keeps the room it's in very comfortable.

Have used this unit for about a month and has performed well so far. Compact in size and light weight. Cools my medium-sized room very well.

Nice quality. Not loud and easy to set up. I like the remote control. Puts out very cold air when setting the temp. Highly recommend.
