This is one of the worst, if not thee worst, purchases I ever made! A complete waste of money! I can’t use it because of how obnoxiously loud it is plus doesn’t do a great job of cooling! But can’t return it because unfortunately, the box was mistakenly thrown away & I was told I can’t return without it. So, if you like falling asleep to sounds of really loud rattling motorboats and you don’t like it all that cool, this AC is for you!

To help with cooling, make sure there is nothing obstructing the unit such as a curtain or piece of furniture, doors to the room are kept closed, and the unit is properly sized for the area. Also, make sure the filter is cleaned regularly and the unit is set to Cool. For noise issues, the main cause is vibration between the unit and the window. To reduce this, make sure the air conditioner is secured to the window tightly. Please let us know if you have any more questions or concerns. - John@GEA

Noisy and low performance

Unless I have a defective AC I will never buy another again. I installed this unit for my daughters room small room about 15 x 20 ft room. It struggles to keep it cool and has a noise like something is caught inside the unit or like its capturing bugs from the outside. When check does shows that bugs are attracted to it and gets caught in the fan on the outside and had poor insulation. I have seen bugs inside near the window which are sign that they are getting through easily. Wish they had constructed a better unit that keeps these critters out and makes the fan noise quieter. Unfortunately not for the price not worth it.

About 4 days ago it began chucking tiny ice cubes into the bedroom and as of this morning no longer cooling. My son has a 6yr old window ac unit with 1,000 less btu that cools better than this ever did. Unfortunately, hubby threw out all packaging and we’re now stuck in 2nd heat wave without ac, again. - Do not recommend.

Bought 2 of these in 1 day. Both were busted

Broke my back dragging it outta store into car, outta car into house, put it together. Turn it on and it doesnt work Fan sounds like it hitting the something inside. Take it to back to NE Philadelphia for exchange. Second one is completely cracked in the front. Almost as if someone dropped it from a 3 story window. Best Buy is the king of everything doesnt work, period. GE isnt any better. Learn from my mistake.
